I am very happy with this smog shop. I have been there 4 times( 2005 dodge truck, 1998 ford Areostar, and a 2008 Toyota 2 times ) all 4 times the autos passed. The guys there are friendly. I will continue to go here as long as their there. Remember to take cash. read more

Today i went in and the technician there was amazing. I believe his name was nacho, with blue eyes. Very polite and took care of my car in a few min. The other 2 guys there were also very nice and took care of customers very quick. read more

Passed my smog but because my intake didnt have a "label", the place tried to hustle me to pay an extra 50 bucks to say its good. Crooked shop, I DON'T recommend them unless you need them to help you pass your smog! Plus it wasnt even the 29.99 they offered on Craigslist, 50 bucks out the door, well 100 in my case because of the label. Let's see how long they stay in business once i file a complaint the Bureau of Automotive Repairs. read more

Straight to the point. Bring the car and they'll do it. Price is very competitive. The waiting room is...what waiting room? Just bring your own blanket or folded chair cause there isn't any waiting room unless you want to join the other crew smoke some hooka and play some video games. read more

Came here on 01/03 to get my truck smogged. Was quickly greeted by Chris who then explained the run down of it and how long it would take. Took a seat out front and then about 20 minutes later everything was done and my info was sent to the DMV. Service was great and they were upfront about everything. read more

Almost went to the wrong smog place, there's another one on the corner right next to it lol I arrived Saturday morning around 10:30, so I knew it wasn't going to be an in and out situation. Everybody wants to get a smog toward the end of the month on Saturday morning. The guys were really busy. William took my keys and information and I waited about 45 minutes seated under a tent in the parking lot. The prices were just as advertised and they honored their yelp discount. They sent the information electronically to the dmv. There's a sign posted, "cash only" so if you go, stop by the bank first. All in all I would definitely go back. Friendly, reasonable service. I've already started to refer friends. read more

This is the 2nd time I've been to Los Compadres, and I will continue to do so in the future. They're are a fast, pay or you don't pay service for smog testing. The guys are fast and professional, they get you in and out. Sometimes it might be crowded say on a Saturday, which I'd recommend making an appointment or go early when they open. Or do what I did just this afternoon and go on a Sunday. They offer a nice discount through yelp, which is sweet. read more

Chris was so helpful and it only took him roughly ten minutes to do the smog check! My car is a 1997 and I was told at another place that it would take nearly an hour to do because they needed to use the Dino but Chris got me in and out! Thank you for your friendliness and quickness! read more

Totally recommend this shop.. Found them here on yelp, they only took around 15 minutes and were so kind. They offered me a cold water and had a place for me to sit.. Takes away from the negative feelings you have when you have to go get a smog! I will be back :) I passed and paid $40 . read more

So far so good .they have a reasonable price unlike the others I called...they have a $10 off just for checking in on yelp ..that's awesome! !! They have a tarp and chairs for us clients to sit in while we wait. Like this place will definitely come again read more

I guess since I'm not a regular or a friend, I was treated differently They were hung up on trying to see what other issues without running the smog. I don't know what the hold up was or if they were unfamiliar with the truck. Or if I was bothering them But after all that, they ended up failing the truck and also charging 80 dollars. Surprising since other smog shops won't charge you if you fail. The only highlight was the female technician took the time to explain the results. The others seemed sarcastic/annoyed and more interested in my truck and seeing if I'll sell rather than helping me with the situation.

Hello all, to whom may read this wondering about the bad reviews and what not, I am the new technician there, since November 2022. I have not received one bad complaint and hope all who had a bad experience can overcome the past technicians and give me a try. I've been smogging vehicles since 2006 and take pride in my work. If you HAVE HAD a bad experience just come on by the shop, you'll see no laziness, rudeness, or any negative energy ANYMORE. Also I'd like to add the guy in the corner in the front is a CROOK. He steals customers saying he is me, telling people his name is my name. Beware. My dad worked there for 25+ years and he bought the back shop to which that guy tells people, who ask for my dad, that he died or is in jail, when really he just moved to the back shop. Karma sucks and I believe a good people will always win at the end, & believe me that guy is no good. *CASH ONLY* I called this place and asked how much the smog check was, the guy who answered was very polite and gave me a straightforward answer, "it's $49.99 but if you check-in the Yelp app you get $10.00 off so it would be $40.00 out the door." He also said if the car doesn't pass, they won't charge me until I fix the problem and take it back and it passes. When I got there they helped me immediately (it was pretty empty at the time) and they gave me a 15-minute waiting period until the test was complete. I felt like they only took 6 minutes and when the test was done, the guy walked over to the waiting area where I was at, gave me a nice cold water bottle for free, gave me my keys, and told me it passed. I paid them and they thanked me for letting them check my car and asked nicely for a review. I'll definitely come back next year to this place for my smog check. I would definitely recommend to my friends and family to come here for their cars 10/10. Thanks Compadres! read more
