My child is happier and that ultimately makes me happier as a parent. As it's a "co-op" these responsibilities and duties fall onto the parents, there is no paid staff besides the teacher, who gets paid minimally and works hard, to provide the children with the best possible preschool education at a affordable price. Its not her responsibility to take home and wash the laundry, clean the restrooms, provide snacks, find substitutes to work shifts when parents don't show up, etc.. Its a collaboration of all the parents working together, doing their " assigned" and required "jobs".

I'm glad to say that I have a different experience and hope that others will consider this co-op preschool. I think the biggest challenge with this school (as with any school) is that there is turnover. When the oldest class graduates and leaves for Kindergarten, there is a void that needs to be filled by the two younger classes/new families. This adjustment takes time but with strong leadership, bumps can be smoothed out rather quickly. My 4 year old son enjoys the program a lot. He loves going to school and the teacher is wonderful. The families are amazing and I think that is a big factor -- involved families will make the difference. You can't be a member of a co-op and do nothing -- it will hurt any type of success for the year. An active and cohesive Board makes a big difference too. My son has already enjoyed one field trip and is learning a lot. This class is really preparing him for Kindergarten and as a newly Stay At Home Mom, it's great being involved in his class. I know that two of the classes are full this year but I hope that other families will consider bringing their child here for preschool. Almost 2 months ago I was able to switch daycares and enroll my 2 school age kids in Olympic View. I am so beyond pleased with this center! The enrollment process was quick and easy and the director stayed in constant communication! Unlike most daycares this center smells really good and it's clean!!! My kids were extremely nervous about starting at a new daycare because they didn't think they would know anyone. Turns out a handful of their friends from school go here too! When there is no school Olympic View takes the children on field trips. So far my kids have been to the pumpkin patch, movies and the zoo. They offer dance classes and cheerleading which I palm on enrolling my daughter in next week! The center puts together wonderful events for the kids and their families and just recently started a gift box for Christmas where you get a beautifully decorated box provided by the center and return it to the center for a gift to go to a child in need. The teachers are fabulous and great with my kids. Sometimes they get upset if I come too early. Another thing that I appreciate about the center is even tough it's a Christian daycare, the don't force it on you, even though I plan to attend Sunday church here. They have a security system and the only way to get in is with the pin number of your choosing. I can make payments online, with my debit card at the center, autopay and other ways which makes paying really convenient. They are always super on top of diaper changes and feeding and naps, we get updates throughout the day and I never have to worry about my son while he's there. They are also great about doing lots of enriching activities with the kids, way more than I would be able to do or even think of myself, and they are really good about supervising the interactions between the kids so they get to experience positive social interactions with other babies. I believe the entire experience has been really good for my son's development and I'm incredibly happy with and grateful for the teachers, primarily Miss Emily and Miss Casey, although all the other teachers and helpers I've met have been awesome as well. It's definitely the most expensive childcare option in the area that I've seen but so far I've felt it's worth it, in large part thanks to the quality of teacher they are able to afford.

They were genuinely the only positive part of our experience at The Goddard School. Everything else was truly unacceptable. Before my children started, I had multiple conversations with the administration about my daughter's autism. I was transparent about her needs, discussed accommodations, and was repeatedly assured that she would be welcomed, supported, and that this was an inclusive environment equipped to work with children on the spectrum. Those promises were not kept. My daughter wasn't even given a full day before they decided to terminate her enrollment. She was not violent or aggressive--she was overstimulated and in a brand-new environment, and she needed support. Around 2:00 p.m., Fatima called me and asked to meet the following morning to create a support plan for my daughter. I immediately agreed because I believed we would be working together to help her succeed. Then, just two hours later, around 4:00 p.m., Kayla called and informed me that my daughter was being terminated instead. The complete reversal was shocking and deeply upsetting. As a parent of a child with disabilities, I cannot ignore how this situation felt. I believe the way my daughter was treated raises serious concerns, and I will be reporting what occurred. Another issue was the professionalism of the administration. During our tour, Fatima presented herself as warm, welcoming, and enthusiastic. Yet on our very first day, I observed her rolling her eyes while my children were simply excited and acting like children in a new environment. It was a completely different person than the one I met during enrollment. I also read Kayla's biography on the school's website, and unfortunately, the compassion and values described there were not reflected in how she treated my family. That evening, I sent an email seeking clarification about the decision to terminate my daughter and asking for an explanation of what had happened. I never received the courtesy of a response. When I returned to pick up my other two children, Fatima looked at me with a truly disgusting expression on her face instead of professionalism or empathy. What's most troubling is that the director claimed to have experience working with children with disabilities, yet she refused to make any effort to communicate with my nonverbal child. No visual cues, no gestures, no attempts at understanding, just avoidance and blame! Instead of support, I was repeatedly asked to leave work shortly after drop-off, because the staff couldn't "manage" her behavior, behavior that is common for children on the spectrum. My child was even referred to as "wild," which is dehumanizing and unacceptable. They also made it clear that they wouldn't allow her to attend without a one-on-one aide, which they provided no assistance in arranging. Meanwhile, when my child was bitten or pushed by other children, I was rarely informed, but if she had any issue, it was escalated immediately, making it clear she was being singled out and unfairly targeted. This is not a safe or inclusive space for neurodivergent children. If your child has a disability, especially if they're nonverbal or any child period. Please seek a center that not only says they support inclusion but actually practices it.

Since he has been attending, two coats have been stolen, most recently his winter coat within the last two weeks. When the first incident occurred I mentioned it to the staff and decided to let it go, purchasing a new coat instead. Recently, my nephew was picked up by his father, who inquired about the location of his winter coat, to which the staff had no knowledge. My three-year-old nephew stated that another child took it, and the staff confirmed that my nephew had informed them that another kid who was leaving had his jacket, but they ignored it. I immediately requested that the staff contact the parent to retrieve the new winter coat, as my nephew had to leave the facility wrapped in a blanket. The facility has stated that the parent has not returned the child since and that the child left the jacket at a different school. This situation is unacceptable, and I am left with no choice but to file a police report. Why should I be required to continue purchasing new coats, labeling them with his name, only to have someone else take them if they like them, which is ridiculous!

My kiddo started to become agressive after attending this Kindercare and very anxious. My kiddo broke his arm during outdoor play time. They did not notice. I found out when they called me to tell me he hit a teacher. After they put my kid on the phone he tells me a teacher picked him up and his arm hurt. He hit him to try to get him to put him down. I took him to urgent care and found out it was broken. It had been broken for hours and they had no clue.
