Half hour max. I'm driving a small car. The brunette woman at the office said "no problem" with a smile. Then the blonde woman came out of the bathroom. Suddenly the smile was gone. And I needed 4, count them, 4 pieces of identification to drive the truck from one unit to another. Then I needed to bring someone who signed the storage agreement 4 years ago here with his 4 pieces of identification. She never let me speak. I'm certain she wouldn't have actually cared, but she never even let me tell her he was in the hospital and that wasn't possible. I said "it appears you don't want to help me, but no problem, I'll make 30 trips in my small car." Then I smiled and left, couldn't say thank you because she did not actually do anything for me. It's her job to be professional and to treat customers politely. And these customers have given this business $500 a month for 4 years. That will be ending soon. I'm on trip #16....

Three movers arrived, led by a foreman named Steve. They were instructed to place the sofa and love seat in a designated dumpster area. During the move, the team used our bathroom while working in the bedroom. Shortly after they left, my daughter arrived home and immediately realized that her gold, diamond, and pink sapphire necklace -- a deeply sentimental graduation gift she'd worn almost daily for three years -- was missing. It had been safely in the bedroom that morning, and she hadn't worn it that day due to her outfit choice. We searched thoroughly. It was gone. I texted Steve immediately and asked for his manager's contact information. When he called back, I explained what happened. His first response was dismissive: "Great Movers isn't responsible for stolen items." No empathy, no concern, no sense of accountability. Over the next three days, I called the company multiple times and left messages for management (Saad or anyone in charge) -- not a single call was returned. Zero acknowledgment. As if that wasn't enough, I then received a call from building management saying the movers had dumped my furniture next to a pizza shop's dumpster, upsetting the business owner. I had clearly told them to place the items inside the designated dumpster area. When I called again, the dispatcher promised to contact Steve. Steve later claimed I "never said anything" about a designated area -- an outright lie. He finally returned to move the furniture to the proper spot, but even then, he set it next to the dumpster until I told him to put it inside. When I again brought up the stolen necklace, he was cold, sarcastic, and emotionless. I told him I would be filing a police report and that if the necklace was returned, there would be no questions asked. His only reply was to ask "where it was located." It is now November 5, and I have still received no response from Great Movers management. This experience has been deeply upsetting, not only because of the stolen jewelry and unprofessional conduct, but also because of the company's complete lack of integrity, accountability, and compassion. My advice: DO NOT USE GREAT MOVERS. If you value your belongings -- and basic human decency -- find another moving company. Great Movers = Great Disappointment.

I have been paying for a temperature-controlled unit for 2 years, and upon inspecting my beloved furniture, there was mold and water damage on a table and rugs. When Barbara looked at the unit, she said that she could not find where the water could have possibly come from (and even had the gaul to ask if the furniture was from a house destroyed from Hurricane Sandy!). She stated that the unit is kept at a temperature of 80 degrees F (which seems high), but what is the humidity level? She did not tell me. Then, when I asked for a written statement from her regarding the water damage, she said that there was no burst pipe or leakage...never stating where the water DID come from. This company is throwing their hands up and are very unhelpful to me. After being with them for about 5 years, I'm shocked that I'm not being helped at all. I can't wait to get my stuff out of there. SEPT. 2013 REVIEW: I have heard of horror stories when it comes to storage units, but I must admit: this place is beyond my expectations. Why? Because of the service by Manager Barbara. She is kind, helpful, incredibly knowledgeable, and all around lovely. She always responds to emails quickly and is there to help.
