I'm not really into other people's trash for resale. I came here to collect rent from a tenant who works here.so I figured I'd walk around to see what kind of stuff they have. I see lots of clothes for penny's on the dollar, lots of used shoes. They do have lots of recliners n furniture and lots of other household items. Not my kinda store. I will say it was really clean inside friendly lady. Who happens to be my tenant.

I am so excited that my favorite upscale thrift store Beautiful Lives has finally opened an outlet…read morestore! They have a great selection, kind employees, and suport wonderful causes. The only down side is the outlet is it is nothing like their other stores. They carry the items that did not meet their standards to sell in their upscale stores - so more Goodwill quality. Some items are very worn and have holes and stains. They have A LOT of merchandise -men's, women's, and kids along with books, toys, and housewares so you do have to do a lot of digging and browsing. Most items are sorted and hung but some are just in bins. I do wish they had carts or bags to shop with and fitting rooms. Even pop up fitting rooms like they use at events would be nice. The pricing is OK here, it is by weight which can get expensive. Kids toys are $1 a lb and books are only 50 cents a lb which is awesome! But clothes and shoes are $4 a lb which I think is quite high unfortunately for the quality of items. Both times I went with my kids I got a few items -a pair of jeans, a skirt, and 3 tops and it was $24! Not what I expected for sure since I pay that at their regular stores for nicer brands/items. However, they do have frequent sales and a rewards program so you can save money that way! It's definitely worth checking out and you are supporting a non profit and their local causes.

A few weeks ago, I came across In Retrospect's Instagram post showing a pair of cow print pillows…read morethey had in their store. I did a screenshot and sent them to a friend in Texas, who shares my love for cow print, just so he could admire them, too. A few minutes later, he told me that he contacted the store, purchased them for me, and they were ready for pickup... as a happy gift. Thanks, Jack! I had never been in the store before, only admired their goods online. The pandemic has kept me home for the most part, but now I had an excuse to visit their store. As I approached the front door, I noticed that they seem to be very serious about the pandemic, with sanitizer at the door, mask required signs, and encouraged social distancing. This put me more at ease. I appreciate that and wish I could give one more star for that reason. They had my pillows ready for me, but I took some time and checked out their store. That place is a plethora of unique goodies and I was quite impressed. The prices are reasonable and fair, and if I had more time, I probably would have come home with a ton of stuff. I only wish I would have made it to their store sooner, particularly before Christmas. I definitely will be returning. PS I absolutely love the pillows. They go with my decor perfectly and are great quality. Iris was a little hesitant at first (see photo) but she has since warmed up to the pillows that kind of look like her.

I don't want to see political garbage as I walk into an establishment. Total turn off. Won't return there to shop. Why not a happy welcome customers sign or something else cheerful?!

However, this is definitely a thrift store comparable to the quality of Potter's House and Goodwill. They carry the items that did not meet their standards to sell in their boutique stores. Some items are very worn and have holes and stains. They have A LOT of merchandise -men's, women's, and kids along with books, toys, and housewares so you do have to do a lot of digging and browsing. Most items are sorted and hung but some are just in bins. They do have shopping carts now but no fitting rooms (although they do have a restroom you can ask to use). The pricing has been updated here since they first opened and it was pay by weight and now thankfully it is much more affordable. Adult clothes are now $1 each and kids are 65 cents. They do have frequent sales and fill a bag days which are great! I do wish they had a rewards program or punch cards as an extra perk like they did when they were part of Beautiful Lives rewards program. Another thing they recently started was hosting free events. We attended their stamp party and had a great time. Thrift Out is definitely worth checking out if you love to shop and find great deals and as a bonus you are supporting a non profit and their local causes.

NMC Auxiliary Thrift is the longest continually operating thrift shop in Springdale. They have a small gravel parking lot, but I've never had any issue getting in or out. Before you walk in, there are some bargain baskets outside - this week, they had t-shirts for 25 cents, picture frames for 50 cents, and pairs of socks for 15 cents, for example. Clothes and shoes take up the majority of the store, but they also have dolls, china, appliances, books, toys, and more. They make sure that all of their appliances work before putting them on the floor. Their adult clothing is more geared toward an aging crowd, I think, but I've gotten several great quality finds. Their standard pricing is about middle of the road for thrift shops, but they ALWAYS have deals running there so you can get a lot of bang for your buck. This week, pants and summer tops were half off. They've scheduled doll sales and linen sales. What makes NMC Auxiliary Thrift so special is that the volunteers there are wonderful. They're always so delighted with my finds, and you can tell that they love volunteering.
