I assumed that was no big deal until we were given the results. It was very obvious that this person had not read any of the information we submitted about my daughter. Treatments were suggested for issues we did not have and things we were already doing were recommended, clearly this "test" was not helpful in any way. It was basically a sales pitch for treatments that I was not interested in. My daughter attended this meeting and was brought to tears because of what was said about her. It was not the right fit for my family and I caution anyone to really do some research before they decide where to look for help.

My previous therapist that I had been with for many years suggested Donna when she had made a career move. The transition to Donna was seamless. I didn't feel as if I had to start over from the very beginning. I had a near instant rapport. That quality can be rare in today's society. I understand that the typical patients of Donna are children, adolescents and/or families & parenting. She has degrees in social work and school psychology. I might not be the typical age of a client at her practice, but that is not in any way an issue. The office decor is well appointed. Comfortable furniture and walls of posters and signs with positive sayings. I would love to make an area in my house similar to the office to decompress and bring about a calmness on a daily basis. Donna's fees are very reasonable whether one has insurance, a health savings account, are paying out of pocket or have an insurance co-pay. There are a number of insurances accepted. I found them to not only be unhelpful but incredibly rude and inconsistent. I paid $300 to be treated poorly by professionals. They both do not listen to the patient and I was told by one of them (modlinski) that "yeah that would be best if you don't talk" and by the psych in Troy (same services, diff location and psych) I was literally laughed at for having anxiety while being in the room with her even though I was sitting calmly to myself. My biggest complaints are that they do not listen to their patients nor do they seem to have and understanding of anxiety; it feels as though I was robbed of $300 to be treated worse than any other psychiatrist I've been to in the past 20 some years.

She never had him see the psychiatrist. He came late for an appointment was not seen and they would not return his calls when he tried to make an appointment they would not call him back. She's never in a hurry and gives as much time as it is needed for that particular day which means she's always running late but even then she never rushes me up.. I have referred her to my friends as well and she's been very kind to accommodate them in her schedule. I have had a similar experience with Marlaina as well who I saw a while ago for a different reason but because of conflict of interest could not see her again.. I definitely recommend this place, for a number of specialities with each therapist specializing in a particular area..
