The Life Working team has been so valuable to me. I have an MBA from a great school, so I was…read morehesitant to pay for these services. After all, wasn't I taught all this stuff at my program? Well, yes, but not nearly as well as these professionals who have been in the business for much longer. They rewrote my resume in a way I never could have (I tried). But the most helpful part of the package was the interview prep session. I couldn't believe how well Wilma captured my experience and gave me the words to use that fit the role perfectly, without exaggerating. This service is worth the money. It will help you land a good job. You pay peanuts, you get monkeys. You invest in yourself, and you reap the rewards.

TLDR: I accepted a new offer at Capital One. The time I spent with Wilma gave me the confidence I…read moreneeded to know I would nail the interview process. Details: I highly recommend Wilma if you are prepping for job interviews and feeling nervous, discouraged or any of the other feelings that come along with the search for a new job. I was a few months into my job search. I was getting quick responses from several companies just based on my resume which was encouraging. I'd talk to the recruiter and they'd quickly pass me onto the next stage (interviews with the lead or team). I always felt they went well but didn't materialize into an offer. I had an opportunity at Capital One that I really wanted to nail so I called on Wilma who was referred to me by my husbands business networking group. When I knew Wilma and I were going to be spending an hour drilling mock interview questions, I was very nervous. But it was anything but. Shes incredibly thoughtful and direct, while also building up my confidence. She also provided a sheet of interview Qs to ask beyond the typical "why do you like working here". I asked everyone I spoke with the culture Q she shared -- "whose leadership style in the organization inspires you and why" -- and EVERY single person paused to say "that's a great question" before giving me very different responses which made me feel good about the company to hear great things about very different people at Capital One. I will keep your information on hand for the future and would be happy to recommend your services to anyone I know!

Steve helped me write and design my resume. I didn't know where to start since it had many years…read morelooking for a job. He did an excellent job listening to me and offered suggestions and ideas. I am very happy with the end result. I highly recommend Steve and his services. Bob R.

I had considered using resume services in the past, but was hesitant to pull the trigger because…read moreresume writing seems like it should be intuitive, and I've had success in years past. After doing some more research, quality seems to vary across resume writers, and prices are all over the place. I filled out the form on Steve's site for a free evaluation of my current resume. Unlike other sites where you might get an automated response or critique, he actually called me. Our first conversation was pretty funny. Steve gave me some advice that was half actionable. In other words, I understood what he said, but I also realized very quickly that what he was suggesting wasn't something I could easily do myself. Still hesitant, we talked a little more, and we ended the conversation with my taking a weekend to mull it over. I was torn. A new job easily covers the expense and resume writing is something I appreciate now as definitely not intuitive. I went ahead and the whole process took less than a week. The final product left me pretty floored. My interview with Rob was incredibly easy - he listened to stories I have told over drinks, and translated them into bullets that I never would have written but were remarkably accurate and poignant. He asked questions to keep me talking, and after a first pass, we went back and forth once on minor points. My new resume has achieved a 600% increase in number of responses. I have since had to customize it a few times because recruiters were first hooked and needed "a little more of [this]." The real results have tremendously boosted my confidence, and there is no question in my mind that a professionally written resume is worthwhile. Steve is a tremendous resource, and I couldn't be happier to have worked with him and Rob.
