Had a issue with my 7 year old HP today. The mouse and keyboard are wireless and wouldn't connect to the monitor. I changed the batteries and still no joy. So I gather up everything and took them in and explained the problem expecting a huge bill or to be told the computer was toast. To my surprise one of the technicians said let's see what is the problem. He took about 5 minutes and then said you only have a bad USB port. Well, he moved the little thing me to a different port and I was good to go . I then said how much do I owe you guys, expecting a bill around $25 or so. Guess what I was told just have a nice day. When I got home and told the wife what just happened. She said go and get these guys a pizza for lunch. FYI we are in our 70's and they could of taken advantage of us really quite easily but they didn't. I do know that when I need a new computer I do know where I will be going to. read more

I went in to purchase a 700 watt power supply for my desktop yesterday. The staff were very helpful and gave me a few tips to help troubleshoot my problem just in case I didn't need the PSU to fix it. It ended up being the power supply. Everything is running smoothly again! Thank you! read more

I seldom write reviews but my experience here compels me to do so. I went here because of the many positive reviews, but as you see from my 1 star rating, I was very disappointed, so I did a little (informal) research. After talking to a few people, I learned that the store is not what it once was because the son of the founder has taken over CONTROL. (And if you look at the reviews, most are several years old.) And I capitalized "control" because that is clearly the MO of the new "boss." I bought a "thumb drive" (flash drive) for $20.00 but realized a couple days later that I really didn't need it, and at that time, was having a bit of a cash flow crunch. But when I went to the store to get a refund, I was told that ONLY the owner can authorize that. I later asked when he is available and was told he often stops in on weekdays between 12 and 2, hours that I am at work. The fact that the owner will not allow his employees to have the ability to refund a twenty dollar item strongly suggests a poorly managed operation. Either the "boss" does not trust his employees OR he is simply a control freak. I could understand him wanting input for high-dollar items--but if he is going to continue to demand that HE authorize EVERY return, he should create a way for his employees to contact him--via a text or pager or a special email channel so that a CUSTOMER can be accommodated. The current management of this store is VERY unfriendly to customers, so I suggest you NOT purchase anything here. There is a GREAT customer friendly store on the Boulevard--(on the corner of LB and Beech) that not only has very a friendly and helpful owner and staff, the store has great appearance and atmosphere (unlike the very dull and drab furnishings at Complete Computer Repair). I recommend you give them a try and avoid CCR. read more

I went into this store twice. I was debating buying a pre-built vs a custom build due to my needs. The first time I went in there was this really helpful person, we chatted about parts, brands, etc. It was really open forum of knowledge and it actually convinced me to go the custom built route. So I started researching parts and after coming up with a list I went back to the store to get more input. There was a different person there (i'm guessing the owner). When I stated I wanted to go over the parts I had picked out, he seemed really dubious. "I can't give you advice." Was the comment I received. I said I'm looking to see where I can downgrade on some selections and optimize others. "I wouldn't know that. If you already picked your parts I can't help you. This is a profit business we specialize in custom built computers." I was confused by the oxymoron there....first he is telling me he wouldn't have the knowledge to know what parts are better then others and in the same sentence he tells me he specializes in custom builts. I already knew about the builts. I was going to ask how much they would charge to put the parts together for me...but it became apparent it was an all or nothing service store. I work in business and the one thing that we always stress is the customer experience is the most important factor in running a successful business. Another approach would have been give me the list and let me tell you what I can do for you, see how my price point matches to yours. It was a missed opportunity that left me feeling dismissed and not worthy of his time. I wanted to spend money in there, but the hoarding of knowledge and failure to meet the levels of a good customer experience is really deterring me from wanting to do business with them and I'm sure they could use the business. So everyone else knows I did a price by price comparison on their website on what they charge for parts vs...buying elsewhere. And overall there was a 37% markup on parts which doesn't include their labor costs. To the owner learn about customer service and working with consumers that may have a higher knowledge of technology. Your store was empty, I was the only one there. You could have spent the time and energy to talk computers and it would have more than likely garnered business. I'm a busy person and would have liked to hand over my choices and pay to have someone else build it. I give it two stars for the first person I talked to, that person drew me into the store a second time. That person was not a knowledge hoarder. read more

The people are nice, but unfortunately, when I took my computer in the keyboard worked great but had a lot of other problems. When I went and picked it up I was told I would need some malware and antivirus. Well the keyboard didn't work anymore and I just recently found out that the malware was never installed correctly. I spent over $500.00 in there trying to fix my laptop but when I got it back it was worse off then when I took it in. I took it back in a few times but it never got fixed like I paid for. I was told that I should take it back in again, but I'm tired of wasting my gas and time. So I personally would NOT refer them to my worst enemy. Buyer beware. read more

The technician in there saved my CAR. I was experiencing some car problems and it all boiled down to my electronic control unit (ECU) having leaky capacitors; this normally happens to old Lexus' after about 15-20 years. I ordered the capacitors and tried to do it myself, but decided to turn to an expert mainly because I didn't want to brick my ECU. He took on the challenge and gave me a warning on the risks that may arise. He was very professional about his craft and even consulted his friend who works on hotrod ECUs. About an hour and a half later, he was able to clean the circuit board and replace 9 capacitors. I reinstalled it and my car worked like charm! I'm no longer worried about my car having idling issues or stalling in the middle of the street which is a HUGE relief. read more

I noticed a lot of the reviews were old so I decided to post my own. I use my computer mostly for gaming. It's a 2015 model and needed an upgrade. I originally was just going to upgrade my graphics card which I had purchased on line but after speaking with the techs I decided to upgrade my hard drive to a SSD hard drive and my power supply. The work was done in a timely manner, the techs were phenomenal (knowing just what I wanted) and the computer runs amazingly fast. I couldn't be happier. This is a true story. I have a five-year-old HP desktop PC, which originally came with Windows 7. A while back, I upgraded to Win 10 Pro. A week ago, suddenly, it wouldn't boot up past the flash logo. Tried it many times, no go. I perused the ads and found a guy who would make a housecall. He was ineffective. Then I took it to a computer shop located near me. For some mysterious reason, it booted up on their first attempt. Rather than try to diagnose what the problem was, the guy said my PC was not designed to handle Win 10; he suggested reverting back to 7, or even 8. I told him I'd think about it...mainly because I did not believe him. The PC continued to boot up but I thought Win 10 might be damaged, so two days ago I downloaded the Microsoft Media ISO, which would lay a fresh copy of Win 10 Pro on top of the current version. Basically a repair. I reinstalled Win 10 Pro. Today, the problem returned. I took it to Complete Computer Care and left it in their hands. A couple hours later they called to say it's working fine. It turns out that Win 10 comes with an embedded version of Adobe Flash. They said I also had a separate Flash install and that was creating a software conflict; hence, a stalled bootup. They deleted it and now it seems to be working perfectly. I'm new to town, having moved out to the desert in June, 2016. When you go to a new area, it can take a while to find out who the experts are. Dan Kozina and Mike Smith have proven themselves to me; they will be my go-to guys in the future. I own an old laptop and the keyboard needed replaced. Sadly to replace the keyboard needed to do the touch pad too because it was all in one piece. They managed to fix it by doing a modification and they did an excellent job of it. Also they didn't just throw away the old parts they salvaged the old parts and gave them to me so I'd have spare parts for the keyboard in case I break a Key. They were very helpful and fixed my computer MY way. They keep in touch and gave me the choice as to how I wanted it fixed. Unlike other places this store is very customer service friendly as it should be. I will be going back there to shop or get repairs done other places I have gone to around here are not as customer friendly. So I give these guys double thumbs UP. Thanks. read more

This is a great place I would recommend if the people there weren't rude. I took my pc in to get fixed because my jack was broken I waited a couple oF days and got a call Monday when I got this call it wasn't saying that my laptop was ready but for me to bring my pc charger back up there which I already took up there but was told to not take up there I took and and that was it the guy just said to refer to the paper they had me sign I called the next day because I had not heard anything when I called they told me they could either glue it ( not specifying what kind of glue) or they can just fix it i said we'll I don't think glue is going to hold the guy got extremely defensive and said you Miss understood when tHey didn't clarify what kind he was very rude so I said well I'll just come get it then his tone changed cuhs I'm sure they wanted their money so they settled to glue it for 65 I was just upset at how rude they were this company is excellent and returned my computer the same day in great condition but if your looking for customer service I don't recommend read more

I have been using CCC for years. Dan, the owner, really knows his stuff and his staff is just great. This time our ASUS laptop had a few issues. Dan could have recommend a new computer but instead provided a better solution with a new hard drive , RAM and a tuneup for a lot less cost. i now have a new computer. kudos to complete computer care. had an old windows xp reworked several years ago and they did a great job. just got a new hp 23" all-in-one and they remotely downloaded the EMSISOFT anti-virus-anti-malware to it, were very friendly, very efficient and not overly expensive. thanks to the owner and his continued competence and courtesy, I will continue to utilize all his computer services as needed and would truly recommend that anyone needing computer repair/services take it to complete computer care. thanks again for your fine service.
