I'm usually not the type of person to leave reviews, but I just have to warn everybody!!! I've been here before, thought this was a great small business to support. I even raved about it to my followers. I took my MacBook Pro to richard to get fixed in May. Took it in cus it would only work if it was plugged into the charger. Richard told me buy a new charger, didn't work so i brought it in to him. To this day, I still don't have my laptop back, I was calling every month for an update. I had to call them all the time and bug because throughout the whole year, they never once called me, updated me, or anything. Every time I would call, they would say something about the part they ordered not working or the motherboard not being in stock. So ok fine i waited, but 9 months is a LONG time. He would know it was me on the phone because I'd tell him " i need an update on the 15in MacBook Pro" and he'd say "oh Priscilla" -exc (This is important for later) It's been 9 months now so i went to the store to ask what's going on and he couldn't give me an answer. He just looked at me like i was stupid and said that he's super busy. I asked him if it usually takes that long to repair peoples stuff and he said no. IM SORRY that is terrible customer service. I got mad that he wasn't answering my questions as to what's going on with my MacBook so i asked for the laptop back. I dont even care that it was still broken after 9 months, i just wanted it back. HE HANDED ME A LAPTOP THAT WASNT MINE. I was confused and asked if there was anything wrong with the screen because my laptop had stickers on the back so i know that wasn't mine. He answered "no there was nothing wrong with your screen" What????! So he literally tried to give me a random laptop. I having a panic attack at this point so i told him I'd be back another day and that I'd like MY laptop back. Broken parts and everything. I come back a week later and he comes up with some "show me the invoice bs" Like richard, I've been calling you all year and you know who i was when i would answer!!! I had to step outside and call my sister cus i was crying!! Gave us the runaround again. It's my bad for not having the invoice but he knew who i was when I'd call. He even admitted to not having a 15in MacBook Pro in the back. So he admits to scraping my laptop or selling it!!!! I told them what day i left the laptop there, even said i would ping it on findmy to prove it was mine, told them what stickers were on it but he was being so passive aggressive!!! She answered all my questioned. The next day I messaged them again with another question. Patrica once again responded and provided me an answer. First off, I never thought I'd need repair on a phone screen because we've been careful the whole time cell phones have existed . Well, that run ended. I ended up getting quotes from three different places via yelp & I must say, Tech Surgeon AV's owners were the kindest & quickest to reply! Patricia answered the message immediately & she was not only informative, but also friendly. She gave me everything I needed to make a decision. I was thankful, because it was so last minute & we needed the repair done ASAP because we were going on vacation the next day! We visited Richard at 6pm, he was kind & friendly as well. He explained what he'd be doing for us, how long the process was & we walked around for a bit until he was done. I trusted his background being an electrical engineer for working on the phone. I also appreciated the extra waterproofing protection he includes in his quote! After completion, he took the time to make sure the iPhone worked properly as well as explained what was done. I couldn't believe how the phone looked... like nothing had ever happened! It was AWESOME. Added bonus? He warranties his work! Their store was super clean & the decor was pleasing. They also sell phone cases & cute little cable covers at their register. Precautions were taken with a plexiglass shield at the register & they also had a HEPA filter in the waiting area. They even had a "clean/dirty" area for their pens. Richard wore a mask & we had a nice conversation with him while we paid! PROS: Richard & Patricia are friendly, hospitable hosts who take the time with each customer & make sure to treat your electronics like their own.
