It had two full-time physicians and a part-time Nurse Practitioner when I started as a patient in the late Summer of 2019. However, since then one of the doctors retired in mid-July 2022, and the practice is growing by two more physicians and another Nurse Practitioner. The entire staff are welcoming and professional. They are very organized and responsive, and I am thankful for the "personal touch" that this office provides. It is small enough to remember your name, but large enough and well-equipped enough that I feel very comfortable that they can take care of any of my medical needs. Today I met my new physician, Dr. Burns, and she just added to the praises I have for this office. She is a welcomed and wonderful addition to support staff, LPN Jessica and Dr. Spencer. I have been on the same medicine for 12 years, and came in for a regular check up with the new doctor, Jessica. She was incredibly unfriendly first off. Very unwelcoming and made me feel unheard. My most recent visit was after I went on vacation, where I enjoyed myself and partook in extracurricular activities, while in Colorado. I did inform her that I had just came back, as well as mentioning I had not taken my prescribed medicine for 5 days, as it is an as needed prescription. She immediately requested a drug test. I willingly did so, because I thought nothing of my test results, while informing her of my actions. A few days later, the NA calls to let me know they are referring me to a psychiatrist because of my failed drug test results...So, the medicine I have been on for 12 years, I can no longer get until I go through the whole process of finding a new doctor, etc etc, WHILE not being on the medication, that is needed for my severe anxiety. I 100% feel tricked, because I do not feel like she was open and honest with me about her expectations. I also feel they could have given a 2nd chance at taking a drug test, as it was a one time thing, while on vacation. I absolutely do not recommend this practice, whatsoever, after Dr. Morgan being retired. Not to mention, the visits are incredibly rushed and you are looked as just a paycheck.

The practice itself is located in an easily accessible location that has plenty of parking, a clean and pleasant waiting area, and short wait periods. There is even an Urgent Care for Ortho related injuries located onsite that does not require an appointment. I highly recommend Dr. Benfield and Dr. Norris at EmergeOrtho.
