This is my doc office. They have multiple doctors working out of here and if mine is not available they will get me into another. The office is nice, all the people I have met are great and my doc is the bomb! I have had some issues in the past and they have been very good at helping me figure it out. Physicals, blood tests, swabs for strep, flu tests, shots, etc.... I come here for it all. I highly recommend this office... a doc office I don't mind coming too! read more

I have been going to Comprehensive Internal Medicine for 14 years so I have mixed feelings about making this post. My physician care through Dr Carol Hector has always been very good. However, a recent issue with the support staff at CIM makes me write this post. I found that I had run out of an important prescription ahead of a trip this week and called the office to get an emergency prescription until my mail order shipment arrived. I was sent to the medication voicemail (where I left a voicemail that morning). Over the past (2) days, I have not heard from either the support staff or the pharmacy about the status of my emergency prescription. I then called the physician on call number after hours since I had not heard from anyone and the attendant simply told me that she could not put a call through to the doctor on call because they don't do pharmacy calls after hours (even though this was a very important prescription for my blood pressure and I needed attention right away). When I wasn't connected, I had to go to a local walk-in clinic in order for them to help me with my prescription (which they did within 15 minutes). Regardless of the level of care that I receive from the physician, if the support staff is not able to do what they need to, I can't rely on CIM for my medical needs. read more

Dr. Ryan Bozof at Comprehensive Internal Medicine is outstanding in the area of patient care. Dr Bozof is always going the extra mile for his patients through research, communication, and care. He spends much valued time with his patients to assure they are comfortable and they understand his personal plan for them whether that is referral to a needed specialist or prescribed medications --all to improve his patient's health. Dr. Pervaiz is a true professional who spends a good amount of time talking through areas of concern & allows for questioning; she really listens to you. I'm truly grateful to have found her! Most of the staff - like Cotton & Kim - are very pleasant, hard-working professionals. However... I've had more than a few issues with CIM Alpharetta over the years. There's a high turnover with medical assistants + front desk staff. It speaks volumes to me; staff is either not treated well and/or the office is not run well. Today... the internet was down. While completely out of their control, back-up processes need to be developed. Medical assistants had difficulty accessing patient records, getting an EKG was problematic to the point where I politely said we can skip it. After my consult with Dr. Pervaiz, I waited better than 25 minutes to have labs done - to no success. Techs were walking around with stacks of print-outs hoping to match with patients. When I saw the stack of orders was larger than patients in-office, I knew it was not a good use of time to wait around longer. Leaving unfavorable reviews is not fun, but hoping office managers see this and act to make changes. UPDATE: Despite what I was told yesterday, no one called me today to reschedule labs. Typical doctor office. They have many nurses and doctors and have all the equipment their so you don't have to go somewhere else. I had Dr. Pervaiz and she took her time to explain stuff too me. She is one of the newer doctors but she understands the medicine. So far I would recommend to others that are needing a primary care doctor. read more

I have had so many negative experiences with Comprehensive Internal Medicine that I'm shocked I stayed as long as I did. Dr. Pervaiz literally laughed in my face when I told her I wasn't comfortable getting the Covid vaccine and was never very warm. The office would tell me one price and then send me a bill later for an additional price. They never told me I had a balance until they sent me to collections. If you want someone that cares, probably keep looking. read more

I answered her questions, and because of that, I received a BILL, as they charged me for an additional visit, instead of my annual wellness visit. I am happy to leave great reviews when deserved and never, ever leave negative reviews - until today. We have attended this practice, as a family, for many years. While we have been very satisfied for most of them, there has been a huge shift in service and responsiveness as they have grown. For example, follow-up, appt availability, and most importantly the failure to call in prescriptions once you leave their office. It was easy to overlook the first time, even the 2nd, but it has quickly become the norm in recent years. We always have to call after our appts to remind them to call in the prescriptions. This last time...we once again had to repeatedly contact them after the appointment when the RX was not at the pharmacy. And once again, they checked, confirmed we were in fact correct, scratched their head confused at their oversite...and STILL failed to call in the RX. When they finally did decide to call them in, the wrong pharmacy was called...and they were one prescription short. Contacted them a 3rd time this week, confirmed the meds and the correct pharmacy, address & phone #, gave them plenty of time today to do so. Here we are on a Friday night and yet another weekend, went to BOTH pharmacies...two meds are again at the wrong pharmacy - and still one RX short. The most important one! So for the record...a family member has now officially gone 14 days without an important daily medication. You seriously can't make this up! 100% Inexcusable! While the doctors are quite good the practice has gotten too big, too automated and the patient care is suffering tremendously as a result. Very sad about this and very disappointed. read more

Profits over patient care. I went for my annual wellness visit in December. After answering the doctor's questions, I found myself charged with an additional $250 office fee. In two follow-up conversations with the staff, I received the $250 fee because I mentioned a 'chronic condition' when simply answering the doctor's question. At no time was I notified that simply answer questions could result in such a high fee. Also, I've had to follow-up 3 times to request a prescription refill that should have been made during my wellness exam. Once I get my refill, I will be finding another doctor and practice. read more

I have had it with this organization. Their front office is terrible and totally disorganized. It is a high volume practice so don't expect to get much personal service. They make you sit in your car until they are ready to see you - which would be ok if they weren't so high volume. This morning I arrived at 8 am for an 8:15 appointment for blood work. Called in when I arrived. Sat in the car in 33 degree weather and heard nothing back. Left at 9:00 because it was too cold. This was my second attempt at getting blood work done. First attempt mid March was refused because I had allergies - it is pollen season here - but that spooked them too much to see me. Going to find a new doctor. read more

After 3 weeks of trying to get a prescription refill and being told it is being sent that day to the pharmacy (never was) I finally got a manager who said I needed blood work. Made an appointment and came in, only to be wait 30 minutes before being acknowledged and then given a stack of new patient paperwork. I'm not a new patient and was here 8 weeks ago. From the front office staff to the nurses to each individual doctor, it's been outstanding care. As an added bonus, they are always so nice. This seems to be a high volume clinic that sees many patients In a day so keep that in mind if you end up coming. However I've had a easy time getting penciled in for appointments versus other internal medicine practices where you literally have to wait a week or more for an appointment. I had Dr. Pervaiz during an in person visit and a Tele- visit during COVID season recently. She is genuinely concerned with patient care and doesn't rush to get to the next patient. Ask for her if you come here. I haven't been seen from any of the other doctors so I can't speak to their bedside manner or clinical knowledge. read more

I really like my doctor here. However, the staff and lab have caused me a ton of issues. I always confirm where my lab work will be sent and twice now they've sent it to out of network labs and I get balance billed. Another time, they ordered a test incorrectly and I was billed again. I had to call repeatedly for them to clear it up. They've been really frustrating to work with so I will be finding a new office. read more

I have to agree with some of the comments. Once I get in the room I have waited more than one time for over an hour. The doctor that I "was" seeing is very opinionated and shaming if you do not agree with her almost to the point of bullying. We also had an agreement which she did not follow through on. I ended up getting a bill then tried for two weeks to pay on line and get someone to call me back after leaving several messages. I will be changing doctor offices. read more

I had difficulty getting insurance approval for an expensive medication that I take. I was so impressed by Dr Carpenetti's medical assistant, Seianna, who helped me through this process. She promptly returned my phone calls, kept me informed of any issues, and ultimately called my insurance company to facilitate this medication approval for a year. The Drs at this practice are professional, knowledgeable and really great at respecting a patients right to play an active role in their medical care and decisions. The office staff and support staff has always demonstrated the utmost care and professional with my husband and I as well.l except for one employee, Adam. This man needs to be removed from answering phones and dealing with the public-period. He was too lazy to check why my prescription had not been received by my pharmacy after I told him Dr. Lopez had said he was submitting it while with me and instead insisted on repeated in a condescending tone "prescriptions will be sent by end of day". I again repeated that Dr. Lopez expressed he wanted me to start right away and insisted he was sending them in as we spoke and still this man refused to check until I asked for a manager or someone in medical support and only THEN did he bother to check the notes and said he saw that the prescriptions were in fact submitted earlier that day. This means had I taken what he said at face value I would have wasted an entire day waiting for my scripts to be submitted as opposed to following up w CVS as to why they insisted they hadn't received them. When I mentioned that to him he mockingly repeated,"Prescriptions will be submitted by the end of the day." He refused to transfer to the medical support staff. Turned out thwre was an issue with the submission and gad I not escalated to a manager I would have wasted a whole day when I needed to take meds just because he was on a power trip and refused to help me and transfer me to the authorized medical staff for absolutely no reason. He just wanted me to take his word that they will send it at the end of the day. Some people absolutely do not belong in positions where they have access to patients. read more

Dr. Pearson has been my primary physician for the last 3 years. During this period of time I have had nothing but good experiences with the practice. Starting with the office support team, everything is well organized and carried out in a very professional and friendly manner. Dr Pearson always takes the time to understand the reason for my visits, recommend proper treatment and answer all of my questions. I really like that although she will solve my current issue, she is always prevention focused and recommending things that will prevent problems going forward. Not good at all! They stress for the patients to be 30 to 15 min early. I arrieved early(30min), now I have been waiting in the room for another 30min. I got up from the chair and talked to one of the assistant and she just said, "I don't know what happen I was at lunch" and did not care on even checking with someone else... terrible! They have not respect for patients time! I will never be back to this location...I'm a current patient of the Johns Creek Office, this was my first and last time here at the North Point location. After visits with 2 primary/family doctors & 3 Endocrinologists; I took a suggestion from a Nurse cousin to try starting over with an Internal Medicine Dr. THAT has made all the difference! Dr. Lee is SOOO awesome! Very attentive, listens & applies her medical education to what I've found on the web in the area of integrated methods for treating Hypothyroidism. She has gotten sooo much farther than 3 arrogant "know-it-all" Endochrologist that refused to treat the symptoms. It's made a dramatic improvement in my quality of life, reduced symptoms & I'm grateful for her understanding, application of medically proven results with the blood work. I rarely do reviews and even less when positive, but I'm not sure what was occurring at the old office, old providers... But I cannot say a bad thing about the office staff, the care provided... Nice people, but business systems and any phone or Internet support is pathetic. I've called 5 times over the last 2 weeks to get results from blood tests and am still waiting. Most times I get transferred to a voice mailbox and never get a callback. Twice I spoke to staff and still nothing, one said they would be placed in the mail over a week ago. The other said she would have the doctor call me. No dice. I usually rely on PatientFusion, but that isn't working either. CVS has been trying to contact them for a week for a refill, no answer there. Ready to pull the plug on them after being a 25 year patient, I'm now impatient while they practice. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Jacqueline Pearson and Comprehensive Internal Medicine for over 5 years and have had nothing but delightful experiences. I have already written a review for Dr. Pearson - she is the most professional, caring and thorough physician I can imagine - but she has also surrounded herself with an amazing staff and colleague physicians. The staff at Comprehensive Internal Medicine never ceases to amaze and delight. They are prompt, courteous and always put the needs of the patient first. In these days of insurance and regulatory nightmares, they make health care positive and personal again. Although I would always try to see Dr. Jacqueline Pearson, I have had times where I was seen by one of Dr. Pearson's partners in the practice and have been equally impressed with their caring attitude for their patients. read more

Have been a patient for about 4 years. Started out happy with the practice. Not sure what has happened in the past year or so. Don't get returned calls. Most recently took 6 days for lab results and only after I had to keep calling. Could have started an antibiotic MUCH earlier. Results for these types of tests usually take 2 days. Office just not organized. When infections are not treated right away, this can lead to more serious issues, which is why I am posting this. I rarely post on these types of forums. read more

My family and I have been patients at the Alpharetta office with Jacqueline Pearson for over 6 years. While I have never been completely thrilled with the experiences there - I have never had the urge to write a poor review (or a postitive one either). This last experience with them has me rethinking all other experiences with them. Back in July 2013, I felt the symptoms of a simple yeast infection. I called my Alpharetta office and could not get an appointment on my only day off work so I called the John's Creek office. They are so far behind in the times that they have nothing electronic. They had to have me fill out some strange form and have the Alpharetta office FAX over some of my information. Whatever - I was in pain and just wanted something to help. The nurse finally called me back and I had a urine test and a physical exam. The Dr. said I presented as a "typical" yeast infection but would of course submit a sample test to the lab for confirmation. This seemed logical and expected. She gave me my prescription and I was on my way. I received a call a few days later letting me know my tests confirmed the yeast infection and they asked how I was doing. All seemed well and went as expected. Then I received my EOB from the insurance company. Expected charges from Dr. Office of an office visit and a lab charge for rapid urine test. Then a $1400 charge from the lab? My insurance discounted that to $250 but there were seriously 12 lab charges (tests). For a yeast infection? That the Dr. sat and told me presented as "typical". I am 45 years old and have been married for 20 years. I didn't present as your average young woman that needed a multitude of tests. Her and I even discussed this being normal for someone my age who has never had a yeast infection before as being possibly hormonal. So why did she order 12 lab tests? Damned if I know as now the Dr. office is giving me the run around and won't return any calls. The John's Creek office claims they don't have any of my paper work. The Alpharetta office Billing Manager, Morna was "looking into it". That was in August. I call monthly now and no one can return my calls. This smells of fraud to me. Over inflated charges to make up for the fact that the insurance company discounts their charges. But I am the one paying for it. They sucked $325 from my HRA for a simple yeast infection. I am fine with the amount to the dr office but seriously $249 for lab tests? Who is getting the kick backs for that? How many other people out there don't pay attention to their EOB after their deductible is made so the billing is out of control? Maybe if they would simply call me back and give me an explanation I wouldn't be as suspicious? Buyer Beware. I think these offices forget that we are the customers. read more
