I called them and although they were about to close, they stayed open for us. The receptionist and dentist were incredibly nice and so good with our understandably upset toddler. They even managed to get some x-rays and gave us recommendations until we had a follow up a week later. Fortunately everything turned out okay and the follow up appointment was an equally great appointment. So great that we decided to use them as our children's dentist and made appointments for cleanings while we were there. Otherwise, you may spend hours trying to sort out billing discrepancies. Dr. Kaplan, the owner, seems highly focused on collecting payment immediately. In my experience, I received calls and text messages demanding payment before I had even heard back from my insurance company. At one point, follow-up care for a poorly fitting crown that their office had installed appeared to be contingent on immediate payment. The practice also has frequent staff and dentist turnover, and some staff members have been unprofessional. I have stayed with this practice for more than 30 years, largely because I liked one particular dentist and had developed a long-standing relationship with the office. During that time, I never failed to pay a bill, yet I was still being pursued for payment over the July 4th holiday weekend. When I finally received the bill and tried to pay it by phone, I discovered that the office had provided a different balance than the one originally communicated. I ended up spending about 40 minutes on the phone with the business owner trying to reconcile the numbers, only to arrive at the same figure we had started with. I wanted to be a dental patient, not a billing expert. While some of the clinical care has been good, the billing practices and collection approach have left me deeply disappointed.

My son is usually not good with anything that even sounds painful but we had no issues during any of his visits. In fact, even after having a tooth pulled, he still isn't afraid to go back and I think that speaks wonders to Dr.Mann's abilities as a pediatric dentist. My son was very excited to see that they have tv's with tons of kids channels, funny sunglasses, and many cool scents of laughing gas to help make the visit as painless as possible. He didn't even notice when she took his tooth out. Now, only 5 hours later he is totally pain free and as happy as can be. His bedside manner is tremendous and he was so, so great with my little (who's 4). He was great at making them feel comfortable and explained everything to both of us as he went along. For starters, I felt I wasn't given enough information about…read morethe procedure beforehand, especially since this was the first time I was going to be sedating my child for a dental procedure. Dr. Jan was incredibly sweet and very helpful, but I can't say the same about the other people in the office. Even still, I decided to move forward with it because he needed the cavity filled. On the day of the appointment, I felt rushed by the office. When he was done and they came and got me, I walked in to my son's arms being unstrapped by his wrists to the chair (which I was NOT thrilled about!) The worst part was, after the procedure, my son was still (obviously) very out of it. Dr. Jan requested that we stay in one of the rooms for a bit since my son kept trying to bite his lips. She asked her assistant to check on us every 5 minutes or so to make sure we were doing OK. Then, the tech who worked there wheeled my four-year-old into the office and while I was bending down to pick up a tissue off the floor (so I had my back to him) walked out of the room without telling me. My son was loopy and tried to get out of the wheelchair and stand up , and fell and hit his face/head on the floor!! He was screaming, and I was trying to console him so couldn't leave. No one came and checked on us for 25 minutes. Eventually I had to put my son back in the wheelchair, open the door and ask someone at the desk to have the assistant come in so I can talk with her. When she came in, and I told her what had happened, she just kind of brushed it off. A few minutes later, Dr. Jan came in to check on him, and although she was a little bit more attentive, I do feel she underplayed the situation as well. She asked her assistant to go get him an ice pack, and that was it. The person who let my kid fall out of the chair, never came in to say anything. I don't know how you let a four year-old fall out of a chair and hit his face and think it's OK, but it's NOT OKAY with me and I want other parents to be aware.
