Just successfully finished upgrading my very first gaming PC all by myself and this shop was the reason why. In 2019, I visited this shop to upgrade my GTX 1060 to a RTX 2070TI... little did I know I would be making the biggest mistake of my life. The shop owner took advantage of the little knowledge I had with gaming PCs and overcharged me an arm and a leg for a graphics card, additional hard drive I hadn't requested, installing an SD card I had already purchased, upgrading my motherboard and CPU. He slapped on a few stickers to the case and called it a day charging me nearly 3k for few improvements. After breaking down the receipt I noticed he charged me over 1k for LABOR. I never confronted them because, again, I hadn't had the experience or knowledge building computers. 5 years later, it's a whole different story. DO NOT trust this shop, DO NOT trust the owner(Charles) regardless of whether and when they're reopening the shop. They are NOT trustworthy people that will rip anyone off first chance they get. read more

My parent's broke the antenna on their DSL modem/router/wireless access point thing while moving it. I forgot to pack my 50ft ethernet cable for the trip home so wanted to get a replacement antenna locally since by the time an Internet sourced one arrived, I'd be back in CA. So off I went in search of antenna . . . Best Buy: "Huh? Antenna? Wifi? Dunno. Maybe try xyz?" xyz (Local independant electronics store who's name I can't remember): "We don't carry anything like that. Maybe Radio Shack?" Radio Shack: "We could special order something for you. It'll take like a week. You might also try Computer Haven 4 doors down." Does no one else break these things? Mail order only?!? My frustration level was rising with each failed stop. Computer Haven front register guy: "Hmm. Don't think we have anything like that. I'll check." He goes in back. Another guy comes out and I show him the old antenna. First he says no, then pauses . . . he takes the antenna and looks at it a little more closely and says "Just a second" and goes in the back. A minute or two later he comes out with another antenna. "This was from a broken router I was about to throw away. It's a little larger, but has the same connector so *should* work." Me: "How much?" Him: "$5?" I wanted to build a new gaming computer for my son. Having dealt with Charles before we showed him a list of components that we wanted. He went thru the list and explained why we should upgrade it to i9 and a better gpu and we never regretted it. Boots up right away and if we have any questions he is there to answer then. My daughters laptop screen was broken from the cat using it as a springboard. Anyway the screen shot she's freaking out- we have other pc's in the house. So I did a web search via Siri and found this place . Took her laptop with me, called to explain the problem and see if they could help. I was told bring it he'd look it over and give me a price. So I did. Super nice guy within a few minutes I had an estimate which wasn't as bad as I feared . A brand new screen and bigger viewing area from what she had. I just got a call it's ready. OMG!! Left my computer there for repair. Had a problem with keys sticking on keyboard. Owner said would take care of it and havent heard from him in a month. Cant leave msg and no one ever in office. This is not how you Conduct a business. He assured me I would have it within a week.. it's been a month. Feel like filing a police report because not sure will ever see this computer again. Very nice place. Diagnosed my PC at a fair price, found out I had a faulty hard drive, likely due to a power surge. In the process of replacing it they found out my graphics card had also been fried, but because that hadn't been discussed in the original quote the owner tossed in a comparable graphics card at no additional cost. Had a gaming pc built there and have had nothing but problems with overheating and constant shutdowns brought it back more then once and everytime I got it back I would encounter the same problems finally decided to take my business elsewhere. The owner knows NOTHING about computers and quite frankly is lacking A LOT of key knowledge when it comes to anything to do with CURRENT hardware pricing and hands on knowledge. Phenomenal service, great attitude, awesome Apple know-how and ingenuity. Long story short. Dad moved to Retirement Home in NJ. Me in CA, busted old Apple G4. Older Apple in storage. Computer Haven helped tremendously in diagnosing issues, upgrading older Apple after newer one was declared DOA and were very nice and accommodating on a tight timeline, and installing weird older software. Revamped old machine runs like a dream. Very reasonable on price and prediction of cost. These guys are the best. read more

They fixed my Toshiba laptop with in few hours and it was very easy to deal with them. They are certified and authorized by lenovo and other name branded companies. If any one wants to repair their pc/laptop this is the best place around. i will fix my other laptop with them soon. after 2 months sad to say that my laptop had the same issue after 2 months. i asked for price reduction as there is no warranty. they told its not possible. i guess if the repair work is not even guaranteed for 3 months time its better to avoid that place. read more

Have been going the for over a year and haven't been disappointed with their knowledge and expertise as well as their fair prices. Not good. Took my computer there, and all they did was reset it to factory settings, instead of fixing the real problems. Took it home & it worked great for about 10 minutes, then there was no sound (a problem which I specifically mentioned to them), and then we started getting all these error messages when we turn the computer on. It's actually worse now than before I brought it in. When I called to ask what I could do about the sound, the guy I spoke with was very short & rude, telling me that I had probably plugged the speakers in wrong. When I told him that I had plugged them in correctly, that the problem was I was getting a message that I have no audio driver (which I do) he said that I'd have to bring the computer in again, and pay the $125 to have it diagnosed.
