STAY AWAY! Asked for payment in full prior to the repair and now it's been four months. Constantly makes excuses. Has blamed backorder, shipping, airport customs, vendor mistakes, etc. Will not give me a repaired product, replacement product, or refund. Essentially he has robbed me. Rinky dink place with only TEMPORARY an long awaited solutions for your problems. Gave them my scuf controller an 100$ only to wait close to 3 weeks for them to return my controller to me in a worse off position than when I first dropped it off. After showing them video an computer software exposing their mistakes they took it back for 2 more weeks then finally "fixed" it. However after a couple days of use my issue was back. Internet service is decent BUT customer service IS NOT. Also, the way they conduct business is a little different. Hard to explain but they're different. I totally get a small size business trying to make it but honesty will carry you a long way with customers. Going to Comcast wifi out of all providers, at least their customer service is at a decent level and they don't make promises they can't/won't keep. O stars. They have had my son's laptop computer since before school started (it is now February). They have never contacted us, we have to call them every time. "We have to order the part. The part hasn't come. The part is on backorder. They sent the wrong part. We had to reorder the part. It will be ready tomorrow." We are now back to "we had to order the part and it should be here tomorrow." Mind you, we had to pay for the repairs before they would even order the parts. Computer Pros in Freeport is an absolute JOKE!!!! My husband and I took our T.V. to them on 3/29/19 and on 4/10/19 was told we needed to pay 200.00 before ordering the part. Well it is now 6/19/19 and the part is still not in and the technician isn't either. At least that's what I'm told every time I call to get an answer on why it's taking so long. Each time I call they tell me that he will give me a call back and I NEVER receive that call. We are beyond dissatisfied with their horrible customer service and extended waiting time to repair a board in a t.v. I was satisfied with thier service until it was time to come out and service my internet that went out .They don't have anyone that is on call. They call you back hours later.And on top of that the service tech or whoever follows up was very very rude and obnoxious.Not professional at all. One star may be generous. I took my IPad to have the cracked screen repaired. I was told it would take 2-3 days and cost $100. I was willing to support local so i set up a time to meet. We met at his store, but couldn't go in because he forgot his keys. I hand him the Ipad and told him i would wait for his call. Four days later no call, so i check in. He ordered the wrong screen so he needs more time. I give him another week and give him a call. He fixed the screen, but clipped the power cord and it won't power up. He is going to repair this. He gets the part, attempts the repair, but it still won't work. He is going to call Apple and see if they can help. More time goes by and still no phone call, so i ask for information. Apple has suggested a part and will be sending it to him. Once again more time passes with no phone call. I call again and he says since he is apple certified he can send it to them and they will fix it. More time goes by with no phone call from Jesse. I call for information. He tells me that Apple has it and had fixed it, and in the process wiped it clean. Okay, i can deal with that as I just sync it up to ITunes and we are good to go. Weeks go by and i continue to call for details. He blames Apple and the fact that they are slow. I finally get a date set to meet and me get my Ipad. I have to wait 5 days before he has time to deliver it to me. When i meet himn (again standing outside as now he claims they are moving offices and he no longer has the keys) he tells me that when he got it back it worked, but he let it power down and it no longer works. He offers to buy a refurbished IPad and i only pay the original $100. After some discussion he agrees to buy the refurbished IPad to replace mine while I pay nothing. He says he will order it on Friday. I will see if I get this. I also called Apple to ask about the repairs made by them. There is no record of my IPad being sent to them - and Computer Pros is not listed as a certified repair establishment. It took him 13 weeks to get the IPad back to me - not working. When i gave it to him it worked - just the screen was cracked. I'm hoping for a resolution to this problem, but do not have high hopes. I do not want anyone to go through the same mess. I entered the business explaining what was wrong I couldn't print from my printer. Jesse told me $35 or $50 and it would work. Fast 24 hour turn around service, however of course the cost was $50 and the issue was not resolved. He even came to my house, took a screen shot and said he would call me back the next day. His business is right across the street from my apartment. I haven't heard from him, he has my $50 and 5 weeks later I still can't print! read more

I would give a 0 if i could... wifi was installed and staples were used directly on the siding when it was cold. Of course the siding cracked/broke. What is even more ridiculous is this is in about 15 places! Wouldnt common sense tell you not to keep stapling! Also they didnt even tell us about the damage. I would never refer anyone to take a phone, ipod, ipad or computer to Computer Pros. The owner is completely unprofessional and lies constantly. I had taken my phone to be repaired and paid up front for both that phone and another of the same type of phone as they had screen issues. I was told 4 days, after numerous text messages back and forth over the course of almost a month, I finally was given my money back and half of the phone I had given him to repair (as he needed to send the screen back for a refund from his supplier). Lie after lie, scam after scam. I decided to save every text and can now laugh at them because he told me four lies in the course of three days and caught himself up doing it. Save yourself the aggravation and take it somewhere else. This guy is not worth the time or professional enough to run a business and definitely lacks the skill of fixing devices as well. Unless you want to receive a non-working, half of what you gave him to begin with, I would recommend taking it elsewhere. Wish I would have read reviews and talked with others (found out plenty after I paid him) before causing myself the stress of dealing with a chump like him. read more

So my computer started acting weird when I was saving files to it. Computer Pros tells me they are the only "Mac certified" place in the area. Take the computer in (he's 30 min late). Next day he says it will be $225 and wants to know if I want to proceed (doesn't mention a word what's wrong with it). I ask him what is actually wrong with it and he says my hard drive is at fault. He's acting shady, not giving an explanation of why he thinks it is that and I go back and forth whether or not I should let him do it. I ask him when it can be done and he says Saturday or Monday at the latest. He says he needs a CC before ordering, which - whatever. He didn't have any of my info so I can see that. So anyways, Sat. comes and he says it's not done and it will be Mon. because he was an "hour late ordering it to get next day shipping." Mon. turns into Tues., Tues. into Weds., Weds. into Thurs. Meanwhile, he's telling me he's waiting on the hard drive to get here. I keep asking him to check the tracking and he says "between Tuesday and Wednesday it says" uhhh ok? Pretty sure you should have a tracking NUMBER and was there not another shipping option between next day and 6 day!? Meanwhile, my husband checks his CC and sees he charged it $300 already on SATURDAY when he hadn't even touched the machine or fixed absolutely ANYTHING. Fast forward to Thursday (while meanwhile I have a TON of client projects that are late and I'm stressing OUT) and he tells me that he was able to get everything off of it, but a few programs were lost. Says it will be done at 5 and I arrange for a friend of mine to pick it up. Then he emails me and says it will be 6:30, so I cancel with her and arrange to meet him by Pec. 6:15 rolls around and he emails me and says he is supposedly driving now from Morrison to Freeport and can meet me in Freeport at 8 or 8:30. At 8:15 he EMAILS me and tells me that he was mistaken. He talked to the "employee" that worked on the computer and my hard drive was empty and he was able to recover NOTHING. The second I read this, my stomach dropped, I started screaming and crying and was in complete panic. I had a backup, but in the back of my mind I was so worried that if it backed up corrupted files that it wouldn't be ok either. Absolutely everything was on that computer. Every picture I've taken, every video from our camcorder, every design project, every business paper, every memory, every moment - EVERYTHING. I send my husband to pick up this computer and get the computer home, plug it in and see the flashing folder with a question mark - indicating there is NO operating system on the computer. Long story short, I find out the hard drive isn't even formatted and therefore obviously no operating system on it. He clearly just dropped a hard drive in it and didn't do a single thing more. At this point, I'm thinking - what did he do to my old hard drive!? Did he format it and therefore erase it!? What else did he do with this machine? And someone THIS shady had ALL of my information - everything. Taxes, CC numbers, SS #'s - everything! I talk to Jesse and he blames it all on his "employee" that worked on it and escalates it into this story about him firing him. Meanwhile, I stay up until 2 am trying to restore from my backup drive (that thank GOD - I never gave him!) It ends up finishing at 4 am. I notice right away that the new hard drive he puts in is very, very loud. After a couple of emails back and forth, he starts getting aggravated with me about wanting to return the hard drive, but says he will refund me the labor charges for the trouble and eventually he says he will do the same for the hard drive. I'm still without my computer, have tons of late projects that need to go out and am stressed to the max. In the meantime, I talk to several people who tell me that Jesse uses the "employee" excuse on everyone. He's known for ripping people off, selling them things they don't need and lying about everything and blaming it on imaginary employees. Eventually I talk to an old co-worker who says he can do it for me. I order a new hard drive, which was EIGHTY dollars, not $225, ship it next day and meet him Monday night to work on it. When taking it apart, he notices that Computer Pros broke off every single attachment that holds the screen to the rest of the computer and also broke plastic parts that hold the drive in/other parts of the computer. And THEN, he hooks up my old hard drive and LOW AND BEHOLD - EVERYTHING is still on it. Computer Pros completely bold face LIED that the drive was empty or that there was any problem with it. It took several months to be refunded the $300 charge and in the end, we had to dispute the charge and fill out pages of paperwork with the credit card company because Jesse "wasn't sure why it never refunded" and then asked for our CC info again. I think NOT. In the end, I'm posting to let you all know that whatever you do, do NOT take ANYTHING to Computer "Pros"! read more

I highly recommend this company if you like being ripped off & your a fan of headaches. 1 star is entirely too much.This company is up to something. As of today 4-11 my internet has been off for over a week with no acurrate time of being turned back on. The day we lost service we found out that our daughters service had already been off a week & they still expected her to pay her bill. To make matters worse her sister in-law had been without service for a week on the day her service got interupted. The only reason they say is theres a problem with a line BS. It doesn't explain 3 weeks without service & it getting to affect more people. Other internet companies shutoff service at night work on lines & turn it back on during the day. Then when i call to find out why they wont talk to me because im rude because the 1st thing i asked was when service would be restored. I bet they haven't paid their bills read more
