Those early months felt supported and guided, and we appreciated how she helped us lay the groundwork for our year-long planning journey, as well as helping us try to get the best 'bang for our buck'. We chose the middle-tier gold planning package, which meant she was with us throughout the entire year. Looking back, we felt that the middle portion of planning was quieter than expected, with long stretches of minimal communication or updates. Because of that, we honestly think couples who prefer lighter involvement might have a better experience with her "month-of" package, since that seems to align more naturally with the areas where she was the most active and present. As we approached the final stretch, things became a bit more stressful. The timeline was finalized later than expected and included several mistakes, which made us feel uneasy heading into the wedding week. At the rehearsal, it felt like some key details we had clarified earlier didn't fully carry over, leading to some confusion. We also often felt like our requests were met with hesitation rather than collaboration or compromise, which added to the pressure of those final days. Instead of a "that sounds great, let's see how we can make that work!", a lot of our ideas were met with a "here's what I think we should do instead." With our package, she does have a full google sheets planner, that you are responsible for filling out (understandably so). However, it felt as though these were prioritized over actual communication. For this reason, looking back I think the 'month-of' contract would've been maybe a better fit and a planner guide could be purchased on etsy. All of that said, we want to acknowledge that on the actual wedding day, she was very helpful and very present, and we ended up having a truly beautiful wedding. We're grateful for the effort she put in, especially early on, and we know she has strengths that many couples will appreciate. With more consistent communication throughout the full planning period, a bit more attention to detail in the end stages, and appreciating and compromising on the couples ideas, we think future clients could have a better experience.

I didn't really have a clear vision on what I wanted, but at least a rough idea of specific colors. Maria was incredibly helpful with her recommendations, and guiding me through the various options available. She also did not try to push me in any particular direction and gave me the space I needed to make my choices. We exchanged a few emails after our initial meeting to hammer out some other details, and each time, Maria was very gracious in offering up her time and availability, despite it being a very busy season. The day of the wedding, I didn't even have to think about a thing as everything was completely set up while I was getting ready. The flowers all looked beautiful and really added another layer of elegance to our special day. Her years of experience show in how she handles her clients, her knowledge of all things flowers, and the wedding industry in general. I expressed to her that the reveal would be from the cupcakes and agreed on a deep blue icing to match the theme. Day of the event she was extremely late for the set up, showing up only 20 mins before the party and was still setting up when the guests arrived. After they finish setting up, she tells me that she didn't do the blue icing filling for the cupcakes so now I have nothing to reveal! I was furious! She didn't bother to use her table linen and left the existing one already on the table. We had to scramble and buy another prop to use for the reveal. I expressed my disappointment and that I wanted at least a partial refund but of course never heard from her again. She was also late picking up her equipment when we accommodated her to pick up the next day. For the amount paid, the service was truly lacking. If you're planning an event, go with a real professional instead.
