I chose to go to Concentra for my recent Workman's Comp Case . This is my first experience with both. I myself am a healthcare provider so I have taken care of many patients and I always say what terrible patients that we as providers make. I do know that the best decision I have ever made is choosing Concentra. Being new to this state and new to how workmans comp is handled has been difficult. I felt lost in a system that was stacked against me. I was truly blessed when they assigned me to Dr. Nystrom. From the moment he walked in the exam room I knew that he was knowledgeable, compassionate, caring and that his diagnostic abilities were impeccable. I knew my foot was broken from the fall that occurred at work and the whole process had been mishandled. The day I walked into Concentra was after I had left the Ortho. What a nightmare! The Ortho walked in the room and remember he had only seen me once. He was cheerful and began to talk about sending me to have Physical Therapy. This was without taking an x-ray or MRI. He had the nurse take the airboot off and put a little black lace up ankle support to replace the boot. I left there and went to Concentra. The bottom line is Dr. Nystrom is a God-send. This doctor knew from his evaluation and examination of my foot what the problem was. He sent me for stat MRI and confirmed that the foot was broken in 2 places and one tendon hanging on by a thread. Dr. Nystrom never rushes, he comes in and sits down and explains what he has found and answers any and all questions. He is a rare find in medicine today. I highly recommend you to seek any medical attention at Concentra and I can tell you that you will be greeted at the front desk with a huge and comforting smile. From check in to check out you are made to feel special and you will receive superior care. Thank you Lorie for getting the MRI scheduled ASAP and for making each patient feel special and like they are the most important patient of the day. They make a mistake and cover for themselves rather than take responsibility. Best to go to the state medical review officer rather then waiting for a manager to call back and that's exactly where I'm at dealing with this location. read more

This facility is in better condition and the nurses are kinder then the Thorton , CO Concentra. Here are my issues with this Concentra. 1. I went in after work and was told I just had a sprain. I was shown how to use the crutches, which was incorrect. Had my crutches set up in correctly and was given a boot for a sprain. I complained about the pain and feeling unable to walk on my foot several times. The way they showed me to use crutches was to put partial pressure on my foot and walk that way. Because I complained about the pain they said they could get me in for a CT scan. 2. I went for the CT scan and 2 hours after the scan was called for an emergency Dr apt. I was told I had broken my foot. I was told to continue using the crutches and continue using the boot for a sprain. The way I had been taught to use crutches had me putting partial pressure on my foot to walk. 3. I was supposed to see the Orthopedist on Friday but because my employer failed to approve the claim they had to cancel that and the rest of my appointments. 4. I work things out with my employer over the weekend and then get my orthopedist apt on the following Tuesday, this is 6 days after my injury mind you. They did an xray to make sure the bone had not moved and it did move. I was told at that apt that I was wearing a generic boot mostly for a sprain and they immediately got me into a boot for a broken foot. The Boulder clinic is better than the Thorton clinic but I will never be going to a CONCENTRA AGAIN! Peak is way better, more friendly, cleaner and nicer facility and seem very interested is helping the patient to the best of their ability. I think if I had gone to Peak in the first place none of this would have happened. read more

My daughter is a student. She waited in line today for hours to get help for pink eye and they would not give her any eye drops. She has puss in her eyes and there was no help given. I plan to file a complaint with the insurance provider. They will not answer the phone in reception in order to try to get help. What kind of medical practice is this? I also heard the clinic is dirty. read more

Dirty exam room. They also take horrible notes and the front desk seemed so confused on everything. Beware of this place they'll also fudge notes and lie just to get more business. Also, Dr. Richardson is a horrible listener. They said they checked my chest when they never touched my chest. I actually walked out of that appointment because I waited too long to get an exam. read more

Staff is very casual about mask wearing. I saw a doctor in one room with her mask pulled down below her mouth speaking to a nurse and a man in the waiting room with his mask pulled below his chin, casually scrolling his phone. I pointed this out to the nurse checking me in and she was totally unconcerned. Otherwise this place is hit or miss. I've been here for a number of physicals and stitches once. I was once told by one doctor during a physical that I have a specific minor heart condition - never been told that before or in the five years since. The nurse who stitched me up (diff visit) was really wondeful on the other hand. Usually it's been fine. read more

So sum it up, I think they are disorganized, money-hungry docs who give bad prescriptions I first discovered this place when my work made me go to treat a minor burn. I immediately notice I had to fill out a ton more paperwork than Boulder Medical Center's Urgent Care. I went in a waited a bit and got the doctor to see my small blister. She said I had to come back in to make sure everything healed alright!! I asked her if she was joking and she said if I didn't, my workman's comp wouldn't cover it. I think Concentra just found a way to charge for another visit. So I came in a week later and wasted 2 hours of my life filling out paperwork and waiting for the doc just to say I was good. They had also totally forgot to check my allergies when they prescribed me some ointment. Im only allergic to one thing and they managed to prescribe me something with it in it. I went back a month later with an extreme migraine since it was close to my work. Even though I could barely open my eyes they made me fill out sheets and sheets of paperwork and were very un-sympathetic. The nurse kept on giving me attitude for shutting off the lights in my room since they made my migraine worse. I told the doc all I wanted to do was sleep, so he prescribed me a barbiturate that also contained caffeine. What an idiot. Yeah I get it, caffeine is supposed to help migraines, but its a bad idea for sleep and patients with anxiety. I immediately called to change the script, but didn't get a call back till the next day and the lady explained I would have to come in again and pay another copay. What BS! read more

In and out in an hour. Went in with my 3 and a half year old daughter who may have needed stitches on her big toe. They were kind and patient with her, even though she yelled quite a bit "don't touch!". The sweet aid(?) even brought in a stack of three reams of paper for her to sit on in the chair to allow for her to be tall enough to soak her foot in a tub of warm water. Oh, he even read a bit of a story to her and upon her request, added a bit more warm water to her soaking bucket. Dr. was great too. Laid back, not at all threatening to my scared toddler. Didn't get his name but I think he mentioned he plays ice hockey and has boys of his own. (Dr was also very kind to me too. A guilt ridden mom who accidentally opened the bathroom door on her daughters toe) Front desk clerk(?) even brought back a bucket of stickers. Paperwork was simple, quick and easy. My little one didn't need stitches after all. Dr. was able to use a painless medical super glue type material and we were on our way. Thank so much!! read more

Don't waste your time. 3 hours wasted to get in and out to tell me nothing is wrong when actually I self diagnosed myself correctly and had to make another return trip with copay just to get a fucking script. FUCK THIS PLACE AND ITS MONEY HUNGRY WAYS. read more

I ended up here after a bad experience at Boulder Community Medical Center (see my review) for a broken foot. The visit to the Concentra Medical Center was a joy. Lauren the woman at the reception was lovely, quoted me a price right away and get me through the paperwork quickly. I only waited for about 20 minutes and then Marco the x-ray tech came and took me to my room and checked my vitals. He was very friendly. After my vitals he took me to the x-ray room to x-ray my foot. He did three films and I was back in my room waiting for the doctor within 10 minutes. A few minutes later the doctor came in and told me I had a mild fracture of my third metatarsal bone in my foot. The doctor was very friendly too. I was in and out in about an hour and it cost me $190 including the x-ray, the radiologist, and a doctor visit. They even had a CD of my x-rays ready for me by the time I left. The place was clean, affordable and efficient and I will definitely go there again the next time I need urgent medical care. read more

I had to go in for a pre-work physical. I tried calling their number and had no option to make an appointment, so I opted for a walk in. It took 45 minutes of sitting in the waiting room before I saw a doctor. (Also, as a general rule of thumb, country music is an awful choice for waiting room music) Once I saw the doctor, he did my hearing tests, etc, then handed me to the P. T. lady. She was nice and pleasant, but they were ill-equipped for the physical task my employer wanted them to do with me. (they didn't have 12" steps) Because the rooms were full, I had to wait 10 minutes before being seated in an exam room, just to wait another 20 minutes for another doctor to see me. I came in at 10am, and didn't get out until about 12:30. For a physical, this trip took WAY too long! Update: As part of my work physical, I found out my paperwork said explicitly to get blood drawn and do a urine analysis, and even though the doctor did my urine analysis, he didn't bother putting that on the paperwork so now I need to get this done over again. This is completely unacceptable. read more

I can only give 1 star because I came in 30 minutes before they closed and asked if they had time to see one more patient. The receptionist asked what was going on and I told her I had a rash that was really itchy. She was really nice and went to the back and they must have told her they wouldn't see me because they tried to refer me to a dermatologist. I explained that I already tried to schedule with the dermatologist but they couldn't get me in for a week. I know that a rash isn't urgent but I work all day and it is hard for me to find a general practitioner last minute to see me. I couldn't believe they would not see me and sent me to another urgent care clinic on the other side of town. I get it that it is annoying that I showed up before closing but there was no one in the lobby. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. Don't waste your time with this place. I was told it would be a 30min wait three separate times throughout the wait. Turns out, it was a 3 hour wait to see a doctor for less than 5 mins. Also....the waiting room had 2 people in it when I should up, so this is an efficiency and management issue, and not because they were slammed. If you have something urgent, or don't want to wait an obscenely long time for sub-par care, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

I wish I could do two reviews; one for the actual doctor's office and one for the physical therapy... Physical therapy here was fantastic! I saw Emily and she completely addressed everything I needed and really helped my neck heal and strengthen properly. After every visit, I felt better afterwards than I felt coming in. As far as timeliness, sometimes PT appointments were running a little late (no more than 15 minutes), but it was worth it for the quality of care I received. I would absolutely go back to Emily for any injury, as she was thorough and really helped my pain go down by addressing the root cause. As far as the doctor's office/urgent care here, I was seen here for worker's comp. As far as a place to go on worker's comp, I can't complain. My initial visit was fine; the doctor was not incredibly thorough, but I got referred to physical therapy which is what I needed. Follow up visits proved to not be on time and I waited in the exam room for 20 minutes past my appointment time once. However, due to the excellence with the physical therapy here, I was pleased with my visits here and being healed here prior to a work accident. I would recommend it here if you are looking for professional and efficient physical therapy. read more

I have driven by this place 1000 times. I recently had an accident and we tried this out. Had a terrific experience with all the staff and they got us in really quickly. Loved Dr Meza who gave us a terrific recommendation for an orthopedic doctor. We will definitely use them again! Highly recommend. read more

Such a frustrating experience. They don't listen to the patients. The insurance companies seem to call the shots.

I arrived sans appointment and was given a realistic estimate of my wait time right away. My visit was for a sore throat/head congestion that has been going on for some time now (as well as a few other symptoms), and the doctor quickly ran a bunch of tests. When they all came back negative, he insisted I go see a specialist, and printed out a list of the ones he recommended. Moral of the story: Although I wasn't able to be directly helped at Concentra, everyone there was polite, responsive, willing to listen to me (which is hard to find with many doctors, I've found), and respectful. Will definitely be going back for any sudden ailments. read more

Beware: they take appointments before walk-ins. You may be waiting for hours while watching appointments walk in the door and go straight back to the doctor. Waited for over 90 minutes on a Monday morning before deciding to leave. read more

If you go to Concentra, see if you can get in with any doctor other than Dr. Orgel. Perhaps your experience will be better than the waste of time I had. First of all, Dr. Orgel acted like he didn't believe me when I came in with a work-related back injury. Then they gave me x-ray after x-ray, until they couldn't give me any more x-rays due to radiation concerns, because they couldn't get a good image with their old machine. Later I learned that if they had just asked me to come back in a week, they could have given me just one x-ray with their new digital machine. The physical therapist, Kevin Riedel, is good, but what really alleviated my pain was massage. I had to pay for that out-of-pocket because apparently Dr. Orgel doesn't believe in "that sort of thing," as he put it. Concentra's new facility next to Sports Authority is very fancy and they are trying hard to be really customer-friendly and inviting...except for Dr. Orgel, who apparently thinks he knows a person's pain better than they do. read more

I'm sick. It's urgent. And they have me sitting here throwing up for a 2hr wait! Horrible place. Beware. Two hr to 3 hr waits are the norm there. I had problems urinating and couldn't hold down my water. They accidentally threw away my sample and asked my to drink a bottle of water, which was ridiculous. read more

I was skeptical of bad reviews of an urgent care center since I've always had good luck with them. Well, I've learned my lesson. There's a reason this place only has 2.5 stars. The receptionist was too busy telling stories to her coworker to attend to me. The nurse practitioner Jesse called me the wrong name, stood right outside the bathroom while I attempted to give a urine sample (privacy please? I'm shy!), and was a smart a$$ when he was asking me questions about my symptoms. His coldness while I was in so much pain had me in tears. The doctor also did not have the best bedside manner - he was loud, interruptive, and did not seem to notice that I was clearly upset. He kept pressing me about results from a urine test that I had over a month ago and said he couldn't really do anything unless I had those results with me, despite that I hadn't had any symptoms for over a month... Sure, doc, as I was leaving my last doctor's visit, I requested a print out from the results of one of my urine samples, and then remembered to bring them after moving to a different state over a month later, and then carried them with me here for YOUR convenience... He couldn't diagnose me clearly. All I wanted to know was whether I had an infection or not and whether I should go to the ER. He ended up suggesting I find myself a regular physician - which was good advice. Next time I'm just going straight to the ER. read more

They just don't care. Went in for chest pains, waited 30 minutes very uncomfortably, once I got in, they took my blood pressure and said it's through the roof, I was like, "Yeah. That's probably why I have the chest pains." And then they said I should probably go to the emergency room. So I did. And they still charged me. They charged me a hundred bucks to sit in their lobby and hurt for 30 minutes and then to tell me to go somewhere else. Screw this place, we're just numbers to them. read more

I have been coming here for 2 years now with a work related injury. The staff treats me like a friend now. My first impression was their friendly and helpful personnel. Maybe my one con is sometimes the wait times are too long, even when having an appointment. Today I got right in, but most of the time it's 20 or more minutes. I would recommend this place to anyone. The prices I can't answer to as Worker's Comp paid for everything. read more

Absolute nightmare. My husband was seen for an injury at work; he asked for an MRI since day one, and was never given one. He saw PA Devin Jacobs who ignored his complaints and told him to go to PT which caused him further pain with each session. After a month of PT, during a dry needling session, my husband had to be taken to BCH ER by his co-worker due to extreme pain. Of course they did an MRI right off the bat and he was diagnosed with a herniated disc. He then had an appointment with Dr. Felix Meza who stated he did not have a herniated disc, despite looking directly at the MRI report, told him he would not authorize the treatment the ER doctor had suggested and when my husband told him it hurt to even drive a clutch, laughed in his face and told him to get a new car. My husband fought to transfer his care and is now at UC Health with a competent physician, he is getting a steroid shot and possible surgery to correct the herniated disc. Don't trust your care with these incompetent practitioners. I am a nurse who worked at a clinic where we would regularly see patients who had been incorrectly diagnosed and "treated" at this facility, leaving them with life long injuries that needed major reconstructive surgery. My husband was given no option by his work but to go to this facility, but I urge you to stay far away. These providers should have their medical licenses stripped for the care and treatment, or lack there of, they provide to their patients. Absolutely deplorable. read more

If you open at 8 am, be ready to start seeing people at 8 am. Also, you could speed up the process by having the REDUNDANT paperwork for drug testing online so people can fill it out before they come. read more

As urgent care goes, these guys were great! I had some complications after a surgery, and my surgeon's office told me to go to urgent care, so I went here. Dr. Meza listened carefully to the events leading up to me being there, identified the problem, and when he realized they couldn't treat it, (1) didn't charge me for the visit and (2) called the ER ahead for me so that I wouldn't have to wait. Also, my wait was only half an hour. I was really impressed and will go here again. read more

Went in for a flu / respiratory issue and saw dr. meza. He was OK. Didn't seem to put much time into the diagnosis and I felt like another number in the system. Other staff were inexperienced. The med tech was teaching another med tech to use the spirometer during my exam. I called to get my Rx refilled and was told I needed to go in for another appt to confirm that the cough syrup Rx was still good. Veiled ploy to get me back in for an exam fee.... read more

Two strikes and this place is out. On my first visit the doctor was nice enough but prescribed the wrong dose of medication for my 4 year old daughter because 'they don't usually see children'. Fortunately he reached us in time and, because he was apologetic and the rest of the visit was decent, I returned. My second visit was for a 2 inch gash in my leg that was bleeding badly and needed stitches. After checking in, I waited for 45 minutes before asking about my position in the queue. I then learned that they take patients by appointment as well as walk-ins and that there was only one doctor on call (this was at 9 am on a Tuesday) ..This explained all of the people in the waiting room and who had come and gone AND the wait. They then put me in a room where a nurse took my vitals and then told me that there were still 2 other people ahead of me at which point I walked out and got a refund for my the co-pay and went to the ER. Under staffed, long wait times, not very friendly....just a bad experience every time.

Do not go here. My daughter went in with what was diagnosed as a urinary track infection. This was just before closing time on a Friday. First, they didn't want to see her, but they did. The diagnosis was correct and they prescribed Bactrim. They told her it was sent to the Target pharmacy. She went to the Target pharmacy and they did not have the prescription. Target called Concentra but they had closed and they don't have an on-call person. So she waited till the next day and still no prescription. Called Concentra and was told they would immediately call the script in. After one hour later and repeat calls to them and the pharmacy, still no script. Meanwhile, she is in terrible pain, feels awful and treatment is still delayed for more than 12 hours. Medical care by the PA seemed appropriate but no urine culture was done, which is usually standard procedure. Front office staff is unprofessional. This is supposed to be a medical office but front office staff seem more like what you would encounter in a busy fast-food restaurant. Actually, I take that back, the restaurant staff are more professional. read more

never again! so they only staff one doctor here on fridays. :( which means that I waited 4 hours before seeing the physician. The fact they would even be OPEN with only one doctor to a dozen + patients is disappointing. Why even keep the lights on! Why have a dozen exam rooms and ONE physician. The physicina himself was kind and knowledgeable once I finally saw him. But some simple x-rays for a fractured wrist that should have only taken 10 minutes to an hour cost me much more time an dmoney. THEN, the attending nurse or CNA, appleid gauze directly to my open wound on my knee, after specifically telling her not to do that. I told her I could do it myself but she assured me she would do it right. I spent the next subsequent hours in far more pain than the broken wrist itself peeling off the gauze. read more
