I came to him with shoulder pain from an injury, as well as very limited range of motion and pain in my neck from another injury. I had seen a number of different practitioners before coming to Ross, with some improvement but no lasting relief or resolution. I'm blown away by the increase in range of motion in my neck, as well as the decrease of pain in my neck and shoulders, since working with Ross. Through a very effective combination of physical exercises, manual manipulation, and dry needling, Ross has tremendously improved my day-to-day life by helping me address and fix the underlying issues that were creating the pain I was experiencing. In the time I've been seeing Ross, I also started experiencing knee pain, which he has helped me assess and treat. On top of that, Ross is just a great guy to talk to which makes working with him such a pleasure. It's very clear to me that he really cares about his patients. In addition, he very graciously and thoroughly answers the list of questions I bring him most weeks. He's very knowledgeable, helpful, attentive, and kind, which are all qualities that make him a well sought after Physical Therapist. I promise, he's worth the initial wait! I've referred several friends and clients of mine to Ross who have had equal success, and I would recommend that anyone looking for support with any kind of issues in their body, go see Ross!! I'd also like to add that every staff member at Alta has been incredibly kind, friendly, and accommodating to me. I have had no issues whatsoever with scheduling, or with handling my insurance. It's been a breeze to work with them. It's also worth noting that the facility is very clean, well-stocked with an abundance of equipment, and feels warm and inviting. There are TONS of Physical Therapy offices to choose from in Boulder, but in my opinion, Alta is the best!

After reading about strength training as a way to build bone instead of using prescription medication with side effects that concern me, I scheduled with Mend. Rani. got me quickly moving up in the amount of weight I could use as I had worked up a decent baseline strength. After starting with 20 pounds for presses, I'm already able to bench press 70 pounds. I quickly learned how to do the exercises on my own at a gym and can go in to see Rani after a few weeks to make the latest adjustments in the program. Deadlifts were new to me and Rani helped me work through some trepidation about the movement and I've continued to increase the amount of weight there. Within a few months I was already feeling much stronger and I'm also excited about how weight lifting has increased my metabolism. My bike riding feels stronger as I have gained strength. Rani has been very encouraging and works with me on a schedule that works for me. What a great resource Mend has been. It's a clean, welcoming facility and also very close to a bus stop so I can take transit to the location.

I started with her 4 months ago when I could lift 20 pounds fearfully due to what experts told me after an injury years ago. I am now able to lift as much as 65 lb (barbell back squat) and being able to lift my grandchildren without worrying about injury is a tremendous gift. I also can now ride my bike, something I had temporarily given up. Rani was patient with my questioning concerns and ways. She keeps strength training safe, as she is very present guiding my form, which is much needed. She gradually increased my challenge level to enable me to grow in strength. The gym space is friendly, professional, and clean. I highly recommend MEND and their staff.

After seeing Nicole for the past few months, the pain has subsiding and she's helped me in so many other relating to overall form, strengthening techniques, finding the right shoes and more! Her approach has been extremely helpful to my recovery. She's attentive, honest and has so much knowledge. After each appointment I feel more confident and empowered. I know I wouldn't be running this marathon if it weren't for her, and even more importantly, know that the rest of my running days will be happier - both on my body and in my confidence - thanks to her! To start,…read moreI'm the manager of the gym, but my experience with Nicole is something that I just HAD to share. For a couple of years, I've had chronic low back pain... from what? I'm not really sure (years of sitting a desk and other bad daily habits). Resting, massage, chiropractic, acupuncture, dry needling, cupping, ART, yoga... nothing helped long term. After my first evaluation from Nicole, she had figured out that my facets were out of whack in my low back. No one had ever mentioned this before, so it seemed promising. I saw her once a week for a little over a month and when I wasn't seeing her, I had tons of exercises to do on my own and she was constantly checking in on me to see how things were progressing. Well after a couple of months, I have a new range of motion that I've never felt before. No pain. My abs and glutes are activating better. And many areas of restriction have faded away. I can't tell you how great it is to finally be able to not just lift weights and workout without that pain, but to even just bend over to get my shoes in the morning! Nicole is truly there to help you. Whether it's one visit you need, or 10, she's only going to give you exactly what's necessary to fix you (as long as you stay on top of your homework, of course!) I can't recommend her enough! Even if she didn't work at CrossFit Sanitas in Boulder, I'd send my athletes to her without hesitation!

But after my experience yesterday, I will never go to anyone other than Julie. Julie EXCELS in her work - she is deeply meticulous and able to immediately identify key trigger points and other specific issues that need working, apply scientifically-grounded modalities to address them , and she clearly cares about her work and clients. I was astonished at her keen ability to feel even the subtlest issue literally the precise moment I felt her go over them. She would then hone in on it with remarkable precision, and applying different approaches to resolve them. This woman is the PhD of massage therapists. Absolutely unbelievable. I recommend Julie with the utmost praise and highest enthusiasm.
