Dr. Carol is so nurturing, calming and superb with kids. I would recommend her in a heartbeat.

You'll never see the same doctor twice because they never stay. I met with some terrific doctors at this practice (Dan, Shannon, Jen), the sad reality is that the dysfunctional managers/ staff make it impossible to retain decent doctors. I was on my 3rd doctor, Jennifer Johnson (she is AMAZING) however like all those before her, she no longer works there. I only found out Dr. Johnson had departed when I tried to book a follow-up appointment. As per usual, the receptionist was cagey with me, never disclosed that my Doctor was no longer working there. Never did they think to communicate this to patients, who pay $1,300/ yr in membership fees. I've been through this THREE times in three years.

I signed up, saw a doctor (Dr. Ryan) the same day. She was quite smart and spend 20 minutes just talking with me about my lifestyle before anything else. Then we spent another 20 minutes talking about my cold, tests we could do and ways I can improve my health. My appointment lasted almost an hour and I left feeling great that I finally have a doctor 1) I love and 2) I don't have to worry about the insurance game to see her. Guaranteed same day or next day appointment so none of the 3 month wait time nightmare that was my primary care insurance. She suggested a gym membership (they have a trial with CAC) and then asked if I needed help being accountable. She is checking in on me the next time I'm in. I've been back twice for various things and have had an absolutely amazing experience.

They simply ignore insurance companies' established codes and policies. I specifically instructed them to only perform blood work covered by my annual physical, noting that I have no source of income. Conversely, this physician is argumentative and negligent. He makes absurd claims about why basic care, such as physicals aren't needed. Any procedure that he believes will receive any push back from the insurer will be rejected. I came in with a decent corporate insurance policy but after my experience today, I'll being having a conversation with our corporate leadership to assess why my indemnifier is allowing Hughes to accept our policy. Dr. Hughes lies about objective tests results. For instance, he lied about blood pressure at 142 not being hypertension. I'm middle aged and haven't had a physical in probably 30 years. I have a long family history of specific physical health problems and symptoms that started popping up be since I was an athlete. My watch indicates I'm in workout mode when I'm at rest and I asked for a very rudimentary test ( EKG) to rule out medical problems given my family history and symptoms. Dr. Hughes is uncredible and his medical findings and opinions aren't worth a dime. This explains why his practice is located in some obscure, dumpy office on the side of the road in Longmont. Reception are pretty rude as well. Strongly recommend finding a doctor who knows how to listen, who is diligent and has actually engaged in the practice of medicine instead of testifying for insurance defense or whatever it is he does besides scam for payment. Dr. Hughes is a condescending insurance whore. Don't waste your time and seek out a real physician who takes his practice seriously and doesn't engage in lying, bigotry and other tactics used by doctors busy sucking up to insurance companies for a living instead of treating patients. Avoid at all costs. As you can see from other reviews of the " practice ", it's clear that this physician and his staff have burned many bridges in the community.

At our first visit at the Erie office, Dr. McNamara listened attentively and was respectful and validating about my questions and concerns, as well as being friendly and caring. Unlike the office that I'd previously sought care with, he didn't suggest to me, "Don't define yourself by your illness" (and that from a female, albeit a young one - may she never be diagnosed with this painful condition). In contrast, Dr. McNamara understands my efforts at being informed and proactive. I've never been one to play my "tiny violin," and am a survivor/thriver of breast CA who has otherwise been active and healthy my entire life. Suddenly developing an issue with chronic pain was something I'd never dealt with before, and that threw me for quite a loop. I now feel like I have a provider who really understands how debilitating this condition can potentially be. Our first visit was a very thorough one, and I left there feeling like I wasn't being discounted or dismissed. I can't tell you how much that means for someone managing a painful diagnosis that can be difficult to treat, and I feel like I'm now finally in good hands. Dr. McNamara was recommended to me by a provider at my primary's office, and I'm so glad I took his advice to go see him. I will say that the Erie front desk staff is a lot more pleasant than the Boulder front desk. I echo the reviews of others that the front desk at the Boulder office leaves a LOT to be desired. No smiles, very curt, seem like they really don't want to be there. I seem to remember this from a past visit years ago and a less-than-desirable experience with all kinds of miscommunication with nurses when an MD was out on an unexpectedly lengthy family emergency leave. I had my primary take over my basic Rx for estradiol at that point, which was the only reason I was being seen by them, but gave them another chance when Dr. McNamara was recently recommended for this current issue. So glad I did. I can overlook the borderline rude front desk staff just to see him. Also, MA Katie (I think that was her name) was absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately, because of the front desk staff, I'd be hesitant to go there as a first-time parent. You want a more caring experience from the very first moment you call and step in the office waiting room to the time you deliver and beyond, and that includes the front desk. But as far as Dr. McNamara and his assistant, I've had an excellent experience going to BWC.

A year later I was able to walk normally. Almost three years later I am still paying the price for this butchering.

Despite that, I really liked the NP Heather, so I went ahead and booked the appointment. It had been about 3 years since my last appointment with them, so I was overdue. When I arrived at the office, 15 minutes before my visit, I saw that they had moved. I then walked back to my car and proceeded to call them repeatedly, getting sent to voicemail each time. I left several messages, letting them know I'd gone to the wrong office. By the time I finally located the new address, drove there, and walked up to them, it was 10 minutes past my appointment time. They refused to see me. I'd taken off work, called them, pleaded with the person at the front desk, asked to speak with the nurse - they still wouldn't see me. I was TEN MINUTES LATE. Their justification was that they emailed me in 2024 that their office moved - which went to my junk mail and sat unread all this time. I will never go back to this place and would not recommend anyone else trust them either.
