I arrived at about 8:50am and there was already 3 people in line waiting. Once the doors opened a few more followed behind us. I was registered quickly and sent over to the swabbing line to get tested for the winter trio. And what do you know I'm flu positive. I was quickly seen by a doctor, prescriptions sent over to pharmacy and off I went. Took me a total of about 1.5 hours. Everyone was really nice and the facility was clean.

I was prescribed amoxicillin and ear drops but thank god i didnt get the ear drop because I then went to the ER because my symptoms were worsening. The first thing they told me was I didn't have an ear infection when they looked at my ears, and instead I had bronchitis, so this urgent care treats the wrong things, doesn't do tests, and rushes through appointments. Not to mention the charges if you don't have insurance. I would not recommend coming here.

After a long day of work, I was ready to blow off some steam, so I headed to the gun range. Long story short, I ended up here that evening. After about a 15 minute wait, a few shots (not the good kind either) and 9 stitches, I went about my merry way. I will admit, it wasn't all that minor. But just as an example, the doctors there can handle basically anything that the ER doctors can. I've also taken my daughter here for sports physicals. They usually run a special on them in the late summer/early fall. The outside doesn't look like much, and you usually see a panhandler at the corner of Boardwalk and New Circle... neither beats the things that you usually see in the waiting room at the ER.

It's new so everything is fresh and shiny. The providers are nice. So my beef you ask? I get strep about every two months on the nose. I can feel when I get it. The last three times, my swans have all been negative, however, it doesn't feel like they know how to swab correctly. When I go to other locations, I'm practically gagging and almost throwing up. Not here. I really feel like this is the reason I get negative tests. It never fails, about a week later, I end up going back to a different location and get a positive test. I'm sure they are great for other things, however, diagnosing strep is not one of them. This past trip, I ended up walking around with strep for two weeks because I kept telling myself, "it's just a viral infection, I'm just being a baby." NOPE... two weeks later, positive rapid strep test. I probably won't go back to this location again if I think I have strep. I've given them four chances. Twice in November, once in December and again in January. All said it was viral and turned out to be strep. Please help them learn to swab correctly!!!!

I didn't have to wait that long to be brought to the back. They took my weight and asked my height. Then they took me to a room and tried to take my blood pressure. The nurse had a little difficulty. Within 10 minutes someone else walked in and asked me what was wrong. The nurse practitioner walked in and repeated all the systems I told the previous person. I said that is correct and she prescribeded me some medication and she walked out.

There was a PA on duty that evening and while he was nice, he lacked professionalism and did not explain medication or follow up at all. This is a frequent condition for me so I know what to expect. His treatment did not follow previous protocol and I had to call back twice to make sure a culture was being done. I was assured it was but it would take about a week (I had never experienced that before - usually 2-3 days turn around). To date, almost a month later, I still have not heard back. I must assume it was fine or I would be quite ill by now. I would only return here if no other option was available.

It started swelling up and it hurt like you know what to put weight on it, so I thought I'd better go have an x-ray to see if any of the plates and screws had come loose, or if I had broken something else! I am used to going into places like this and being there for hours, but I was in and out in just over 1 hour! They saw me hobbling in the door and immediately brought me a wheelchair. They also had an electronica pad check in system that is much, MUCH easier than filling out pages and pages of questions & they aren't killing trees either! The receptionists, nursing staff, doctor, radiologist and the cleaning staff, were very respectful and very pleasant, especially since it was so late (they close at 9 and I didn't get out until about that time). Fortunately, it was just a very bad sprain, and I do have to stay off of it for at least three days, but I am thankful they were there and open so I didn't have to go to an emergency room or worse yet, wait overnight with a huge bulging knee that hurt like crap! If you ever need immediate care, I definitely recommend this place.
