Dr. Stewart and the front desk employees literally turned me away from doing a standard pre employment physical because the place I applied to was Department of homeland security (HSI) Homeland security investigator technically falls under the branch of ICE.. so the paper said ICE. The Dr and girls up front said that I need to go to another place or my pcp. I asked why, because their website says they do all of these tests. The girls up front said they don't know why that's just what the Dr said. So then I asked again, why specifically on this test can the Dr not perform for me today and the girls up front said they don't know but the Dr said she can't do that physical.. Terrible service I sat there waiting for an hour! Did not see a dr everyone had left for the day. I heard everyone leaving so I decided to come out of my room to see if they forgot about me the dr comes out and says I just saw other patients and you couldn't have been waiting that long when I had been waiting for well over an hour. I go back in my room to continue to wait then she says I don't understand why everyone came so close to closing time when I had to work late this day! Super awesome staff. From the moment you walk in everyone is very welcoming and friendly. Went in for a physical and was a bit nervous but the whole staff made me feel at home and calm and was able to complete physical without any issues thanks to the staff calming me down and being just being amazing. Physician was amazing. Physical test area is literally run by the most amazing and kind people. Anyone who says otherwise is lying. I went to another concentra and it felt like two different worlds!! I was nervous after seeing some bad reviews online, but I went here to get some pre-employment medical clearance done and I had an awesome experience. The staff were all very nice, it was busy but they moved people along as quickly as they safely could, and every provider I met was incredibly kind, helpful, and informative. read more

My company sent me here for my physical and drug test , I decided to come here with plans of visiting the gym right after at 1130am , i left at 730pm . Im a extremely laid back person but when i start and finish a employer shift thats taking it a bit too far . Im still at a disbelief I wasted my entire day sitting in this clinic most of which spent waiting to urinate as there's nothing in lobby to help make a long wait tolerable no outlets to charge phones or restroom . Went here for a work injury and did almost four months of physicals therapy. Everybody I encountered there was nice and very helpful. Busy at times, but it's a business and that happens. Raj and Linsey were handling my PT and they did a great job. My knee is almost back to full strength after following there instructions. For the best results follow exactly what they say and ask questions. Raj answered all my questions and explained then to me I way that I could understand since I do not know medical jargon. I would definitely go back here if I've any future injuries. read more

This place makes you wait for hours (4hrs). The job sent me to this one because it was closer for a drug test but there is no sense of urgency here. I've been to drug testing before at other clinics and it is very fast to check in a use the restroom and they get you the results shortly after. This place is unorganized and needs some management to help with the flow of operations. Too long of a wait for any issue and people are very upset. read more

If I could give a zero I would. My husband a CDL truck driver and he had a physical there last month. He received a letter in the mail stating that his license is being revoked. The facility did not fax his physical/medical card to the Secretary of the State. In his 22 years of driving he has never had to send in ANYTHING. When he called the Concentra Medical Center, the person said that they never send in the cards for the IL drivers and that statement is simply not true. He has a medical card from two years ago issued by the Concentra Medical Center that was sent to the Secretary of the State for IL by the facility! So for now, he cannot work until after Monday because the CDL facilities are all closed on the weekend. read more

Avoid this place at all costs,a complete lack of urgency for anything. I took my son in for a spider bite and waited to even be checked in for an hour. Then once I asked the extremely rude and belligerent lady in front how much longer- gave me the deer in the headlights look. She said "the umm doctor is not uhmm actually ten minutes". Once being called to a room the X-ray tech had no idea how to measure my sons blood pressure because as she stated " we don't really get a lot of kids here". We waited another hour in the room because they forgot we were there. I mean really, patient care to the lowest possible degree. This place is a drug testing center not an urgent care whatsoever. Avoid it like the plague. Don't even think about going to this place. This place is a joke. Went for pre employment physical and drug screen and was there a total of 4 hrs. In at 1:15 pm out at 5:30 pm Waited 3 hours before they even called me in for my physical and physical took an hour . If anyone has to get a pre employment or random done I suggest finding another location unless you have time to burn. The darylic employees have no regard for you at all. After waiting for 2 1/2 hours told girl at the front desk that I had been waiting since 1:15 pm holding my urine for my drug screen and ask if I could just get the drug screen out of the way first and she says you will be called next, well after hearing 5 more people called ahead of me and waiting an additional 40 minutes I was finally was called. Then the girl who comes to get me I told her I had been waiting since 1:15 holding my urine and ask if we could do the drug screeing first and she says, (oh we will do that in a minute I want to do the alcohol test first it will only take a few minutes). Once again total dis regard for people. Even while taking my vision test the little African doctor tries to walk behind me pushing me off the line where I was suppose to stand and read from and did not say excuse me or anything. Also the place tries to serve as a urgent care location and take all urgent care people ahead of occupational screenings so you are stuck until all the urgent care people are taken care of first. This place deserves a minus 5 stars out of 5 stars. Don't say I did not warn you! WE NEED TO GET THE WORD OUT ON THIS PLACE. IF ANYONE READS THIS REVIEW AND CHOOSES TO GO TO THIS PLACE ANYWAY. Do not go there! Do not even take your dog there. The place is run by a woman named Tammy who rarely leaves her office (and chair in that office) and has no idea what is going on and likes to blame everyone else for her not knowing what's going on. I had an appointment for a blood test and physical, took me two appointments and I STILL didn't get the physical (they couldn't find the paperwork, no one knows what's going on, they're looking for it) you know the drill. Lady at the front counter is rude, I had an appointment (the second one for the same procedure) and she stops talking to me and starts talking to some guy who walks in the door to ask questions (and didn't even have anything done) . My experience here from the beginning was outstanding. Concentra in Hammond, IN was the second facility I had contacted to schedule a pre-employment physical. After speaking with Leondria, I knew this is where I wanted to go. Leondria was very kind and helpful. The first facility I contacted (IU Occupational Health in Laporte, IN) made me feel like I was an interruption to there day. This was not the case at Concentra. The whole process from check in to completion took 2 hours which is great for the complexity of the type of physical needed. My medical assistant, Marla, stayed with me through out the whole process and was excellent at explaining everything that needed to be done. Dr. McKnight was excellent as well. She spoke with me like I was one of her family, and made me feel very comfortable. At the end of everything, Jesse, the facility director, asked me how things went and I had nothing bad to say. The only reason for the 4 stars is the waiting room. They have a lot of chairs to sit in, which causes you to sometimes have to step over someone's legs, especially on the ends of the middle row. I suggest maybe removing four chairs. Two from each end of the middle section. Other than that, great job Concentra. I will definitely refer those I know to you. read more
