So let me start off saying this, my lifestyle and choices were horrendous, I struggled with trust…read moreissues to the point I wouldn't trust my own mom, I was really not good at connecting, and had not a lick of empathy. Now that I have left this place(mind I was in the Residential Treatment Center across the street) after 2 years A LOT has changed. Being there put me in a place where I was forced to deal with my lies, manipulation, and behaviors. And that's just what I needed. I was a Juvenile Justice kid and was admitted there not out of free will. But I will say those who say it didn't help them, or the staff didn't trust them, was because they weren't helping themselves. It took me a year to come fully clean and another to get myself together. My therapists Dr. Paris Miller, was awesome, not afraid to confront me and call bull crap and helped me so much. And the others, Ms. Kasi Nadler, and (sorry Ms. Jocelyn I never caught your last name.) and Ms. Jocelyn were awesome people. Ms. Kasi gave me insight about my life and past that helped me so much in Treatment and understanding myself, she wasn't even my therapist and helped me so much. It was less than acceptable experience because of the kids who didn't want to help themselves, but altogether even that gave me a moral compass of who I didn't want to leave like, it showed me what others used to see of me. Once again this place is wonderful and I appreciate it so much. And staff wise, there was only two negative incidents, not by the place its self but by the staff, in which were fired shortly after. And trust me do you think a kid got murdered there and was left to bleed out( it was either a review on here or google), and the place is still running? A lot of these reviews are people still in states of psychosis or just never helped themselves. In other words, thank you Havenwyck and all it's workers, from the people in the kitchen, to the staff, the workers, the AT and music therapists, thank you so much!

Please avoid this hospital. I was a child, 14 yrs old, in an abusive relationship and was sent to…read morethis facility for suicidal ideations. The doctors and nurses treat you like a criminal who is sick with diseases they do not want to be around. The judgement, humiliation, and loneliness I experienced here was more traumatic than the suicidal thoughts. I cried myself to sleep each night, begging to go home. I was admitted back in 2017. 9 years later, not in a million years I would EVER send my child to be treated here. I walked out of this facility more traumatized going in. A vivid memory I have is being separated from the group the first few days to "earn" a wristband that would allow me to eat at the cafeteria. We had to earn the right to eat lunch with others. Another memory I have is when I had a panic attack during a group activity, and the nurse took me to the hallway and told me to stop crying because I was about to be sent home and panic attacks might coercive the doctor to keep me longer. If you, your child, your family member or friend is having mental health issues, call a therapist with great reviews. Then, I suggest calling a psychiatrist to treat underlying issues medically. Avoid this hospital!!

If you are a woman approaching menopause, you need to go here immediately!!! This is functional…read moremedicine at its finest! I have been seeing Nurse Pam or Kimberly twice a year for 2 or 3 years to stay on top of my changing body's needs. These practitioners do NOT: 1. Just guess at what you need. 2. Treat your symptoms with synthetic big pharma chemicals 3. Make you take a crap ton of expensive supplements for the rest of your life, and not even help you understand why you're taking them 4. Chalk up all your symptoms as "just part of the aging process" and expect you to just accept it. They will conduct a thorough blood panel (Eric is the most phenomenal phlebotomist! You will love him!) and then they look very carefully at all your numbers and they address each one methodically: For example: Likely you have a vitamin D deficiency Likely you have a vitamin B deficiency Likely you need magnesium Likely you need to clean up your gut! Maybe you need to bump up some of your hormones-- they are on the cutting edge of menopause medical science (aka Dr Mary Claire Haver!!!) They will monitor you every six months and adjust your regimen. Accordingly, even taking things off that you don't need anymore or finding you great alternatives that cost less.... I have felt better and better every year and feel more and more in control of my health and vitality as I age! Thank you Forum Health!
