My son is a soccer player so I'm sure you can imagine the amount of injuries we see. We've taken him here 3 different times for 3 different injuries and they have been absolutely amazing with him. So patient and kind. They listen to his extravagant broken up stories of what happens (I try to fill the gaps). The staff is friendly and engages with him. He never feels scared when they have to take him back for x-rays. I think it's really important for people to understand the difference between ER, Urgent care and primary care. Wait time was extremely low not even three minutes I have been to two other urgent care is before that and could not sit and wait for two hours like they said But here I was seen inside of four minutes I definitely will return when I need it read more

My son has been to IEP Urgent care a few times now. All previous visits we have been provided exceptional care by both the reception staff and medical care team. As with any urgent care visit, guests are seen on a first come, first serve basis. With our most recent visit, initially we thought to visit Corewell Urgent Care, as it is closer to our home. We walked up to the Corewell Health receptionist and inquired about the wait time. There were 11 people in front of us. My son mentioned IEP Urgent Care-I thanked Corewell's reception team and we got back in the car and moved on. At IEP Urgent Care, we were in and out in 30 minutes. My son's script was available at the pharmacy and were headed back home where he could rest and heal. If you are looking for immediate care without a huge wait time this is a great urgent care option. read more

I don't actually know how the experience is there as I was denied service even before arriving. I left work 10/09/2024 as I was having stroke symptoms. I did a quick google search of urgent cares and through the 4.9 star review was impressive. I called to ask if I needed an appointment and just to check their service dog policy as so many businesses don't fully know service dog laws. I made sure to mention that I do require the use of a service dog due to a disability and we are fully ADA compliant. The young man asked the office manager and the office manager said they do NOT allow ADA compliant service dogs at their facility. I educated about the laws and was still denied. I requested to see that policy in writing. They hung up on me. I was super scared because I was already having scary symptoms and was now afraid to have to advocate for my own rights in addition to being scared of these medical symptoms. I went to Beaumont and they followed the service dog laws to a "t." I did not have to do self advocating and everyone was super understanding. I called IEP again today to get the names of the person who answered the phone and also the office manager from yesterday. I figured I could give the names to MDCR as they have a fantastic program to educate businesses on the use of Service dogs.. Not only did they refuse to provide names, i was transferred to a woman who was super rude. They, then, changed their story to allowing service dogs with "proper documentation.". This is against the law as well and the lady on the phone was unwilling to hear me redirect her to the ADA website that clearly states that businesses CANNOT request documentation. Based off of these 2 experiences, I would not have recommended IEP to anyone but I tried one last thing as no disabled person should be denied access simply because their staff is not educated and not open to listening to the disabled person. I called the Clinton township IEP and a REALLY nice woman gave me the number for corporate. I left a message with the receptionist and Dr Nick Dyc called me back. He knew the service dog laws inside and out, was EXTREMELY compassionate on the phone. There was further mention of education of the Grosse Pointe staff on service dog laws and phone etiquette. So hopefully a fellow service dog user can benefit from this down the line. The follow up phone call was a breath of fresh air after 2 very unpleasant interactions with the staff directly at Grosse Pointe location. I'm sure by the time anyone has read this, the service dog laws will have been relayed and the staff should have better telecommunication skills. Before the phone call from Dr Nick I would have never considered going back.... but if they already have 4.9 stars and a promise of proper education... I'll definitely consider in the future! read more

Care was good once I was finally seen. It's not the provider's fault that her employer is greedy and doesn't properly staff the place. Thing is: they'll take you back so you have to sit and rot in a room by yourself so that other people are duped into staying too, falsely thinking it's somehow less than a 2-hour wait bc the waiting room doesn't look full....but the truth is you're about to be 20th in line with one pregnant provider on duty. read more

My kids and I just left and it was by far the worst urgent care experience we have ever had. I have been to this location many times before and won't be returning after the latest experience. My son was getting a nose swab for covid, flu and when he said it hurt the nurse replied "no it doesn't, you're fibbing". He proceeded to tell me that when he said that she went further back and it hurt. He wasn't resisting in anyway and didn't have his hands up so to treat a 6 yr old like that is uncalled for. I understand that they were busy and she seemed busy and stressed but have some compassion. Also, the doctor said they couldn't prescribe anything even for my daughter who has been coughing for over a month. When I asked about cough syrup she said they don't prescribe cough syrup to kids and I mentioned that my fiance just went for his girls who had a similar cough for the same amount of time and received one. When asked what type I responded and she said she could do that but it was best to switch her allergy meds. I informed her that I heard her and was intending to get claritin instead of zyrtec like she suggested but was still concerned of the coughing at time which has caused her to throw up. Five minutes later that office manager came in telling me I will not be receiving the couch medicine because I don't just come in asking for something specific, which isn't what I was trying to do. When I asked what the doctor recommended for over the counter since the kind I tried weren't working she had no suggestions and seemed very defensive. People coming with their loved ones shouldn't be met with that type of hostility for asking questions and trying to be informed through conversations with the on site doctor. I should have taken all of the other negative reviews into account because clearly they don't care about their patients. read more

This place is terrible. I waited for over 2 hours to be seen by nurse practitioner Katherine Barrett and she never showed. I left the clinic and was assured by the receptionist that I wouldn't be charged for the appointment. A few weeks later I received a bill for $304.24. This is insurance fraud and Ms. Barrett's license should be revoked for lying about an exam that never happened. I had strep throat and had to seek treatment elsewhere. If this is the level of integrity one can expect from this office I would recommend you stay away. I've spoken with over 6 managers to get the bill fixed with no success. I am so disappointed. I rave to people about the great care, cleanliness and concern all the medical staff have shown over the times either myself, my son, my parents have been treated. Today I had a question about a fee and the receptionist was so angry. She told me Pay or leave without answering my question the PA that came out was not honest when I asked her who they work for and how to reach corporate or executives. She told me it's through providence emergency in Novi and that I would have to call them. Would not give me receptionist name nor would she give me her last name. Found out IEP has corporate offices and that she may contract from providence but this is not run by providence. Will never go back read more

Everyone was so kind when I came here when I contracted Covid. The PA listened to my concerns and explained my treatment to me in a way I could understand. I brought my son back several months later and received the same exceptional care. I always have a great experience, the facility is always clean, the staff is compassionate.
