I'm a teacher. I rushed here from work around 3:20 and definitely got here before 4 as it was the closest location to me. As I approached nobody else was at the desk. There were 2 workers and one made me feel guilty for being there right away with her tone. They are not hospitable at all. They're sitting there flipping through papers and calling people and told me someone would be with me in a second. Three others walked in and they're being greeted and shit so I get back up around 4:10 to ask if I still couldn't be checked in. They told me they stopped taking physicals at 4 AFTER I sat there for at least 20 minutes and when I was there before 4. I feel very against ever coming here again. read more

Understaffed, could honestly see why nobody would want to work there. The directors little slaves don't know how to do their job. They're all too stressed and displace the grief of their life on the 'patients'. I waited almost 2 hours for a 2 minute blood collection and got a bruise! My results came out inconclusive. Had to get a refund. Go to another location bc they do not social distance there and the waiting room is packed. I am here for a dot physical. I was standing in line and when the lady at front was finally done with the person in front of me, she goes "Are you waiting on something?" Also, when I told her what I was here for she said it was going to be over two hours. There were four people in front of me and one of them is sleeping which wasn't promising but eventually the lady at the front desk explained that there was only one doctor at night. I was in the office within an hour and most of my wait time was filling out stuff. The nurse was nice and so was the doctor. All in all, it wasn't as bad as I initially thought. read more

What everyone else has said is true, there is a minimum one hour wait. The clinic opens at 7am and I arrived around 7:30 to get a drug test done. I'm currently still sitting here waiting to be called on an hour later. Decided to put the time to good use and write this review. Yup, so like the other reviews I arrived at 1:39p and like everyone else as I'm waiting let me yelp about my experience. I keep telling myself convenience is not always better. Sat in the lobby for one hour, now I'm in the room just sitting for another 2.5 hours...and counting. Dr hasn't seen me but the nurse wants to run random tests as I wait saying it will speed up the process, why are we doing that when it doesn't event fit the description of complaints for my visit today, don't like being a guinea pig. I should have known by the location that it would be a long wait because of them. I'm still debating to walk up out of here and request a refund of my $20 CO-pay, yet they say I'm the only person waiting for urgent care. NOTE: walk-ins are pushed back because of Pace workers coming in on work-related injuries, dot, random drug tests, physicals and scheduled appointments. Idk why they supersede us if that's the case you should be made aware of that and sounds to me like Pace needs their own medical facility or perhaps this is it. The staff started off nice until I questioned them about the length of my wait, you can be serviced faster than this at Stroger. Then on top of that, majority of the staff here is sick with the same thing patients have. One star bcuz Kacey Dayton was great, hopefully she's your Dr. I appreciate her listening, but not sure why I was made her last patient. Do NOT go to this location if you have a sick child. I took my sick child here and was sixth in line when they opened. After waiting to register, I was told the doctor didn't arrive until 8am (they opened at 7am!) I was also told that because everyone in front of us had a "work physical" (not urgent,) it would be 2.5 hours until the doctor could see us. read more

I've been to this Concentra before and it's usually fine. This extremely negative review is for Dr. Peter Sorokin. I went in for an infected finger to be drained or to be given antibiotics. He, without looking, touching or even moving my finger, said I needed x-rays. I did not understand why and asked for more information. He immediately told me "if you refuse treatment, you can leave." Bewildered and trying to understand what is happening, I felt rushed and confused the entire time. He told me to leave at least five more times, but I had already taken a day off of work to get this finger fixed. I have never felt more belittled and confused. It wasn't until after these x-rays (which of course turned out perfectly fine) that this doctor actually looked at my finger and decided it was just a regular infection. I was sent here after being bitten by a dog at work. It was just a scratch, but I had to document it anyway. It wasn't too bad, I was seen after only a 5-minute wait, and they said my paperwork would be right up. I waited for 20 minutes before asking the girl at the desk where my paperwork was. She said the doctor hadn't brought it up yet and that she would go back and get it. After another ten minutes I'm guessing I had an annoyed look on my face because the girl at the counter who had been having a conversation with her co-worker the whole time said "I'm going to face this way because that person is still giving me dirty looks." Another 10 minutes went by, and she finally went back and got my paperwork, it took her a whole 20 seconds. When I went up to get it I decided to speak my mind and I said "I wasn't giving you a dirty look, I was just annoyed because it took 40 minutes to get my paperwork after my appointment was done. If you were a patient wouldn't you be?" She just rolled her eyes and turned around. If she had just said "sorry," even without meaning it, I would've left and forgotten about it. But she had to be a bitch about it, so now I'm on yelp ranting, and we all have to suffer. read more

Went there due to a back pain that felt like a sharp strong crap, where it locked my body up! After waiting the doctor "Peter Sorokin, MD" made me so some very BASIC walking drills like walk on toes and on heels and then proceeded with another another one where he just places his hands on your shoulder and puts about 5 pound or weight and asks you does it hurt. Of course not! He didn't take me serious! All I was asking for was for an MRI and he was quick to say you don't need one, according to his tests. I just wanted to get it right the first time! He said it was a strain muscle. I was not even in there for 5 mins! The guy is terrible at what he does! Doesn't give you the best services you deserve. Frankly to me it didn't matter. You are guaranteed a one hour wait or more for the standard DOT drug test at this facility. Their facility in Franklin Park is less than 15 minutes wait time for the same DOT test. The staff is fine and try their best with the crowds here. If you come here M-F between the hours of 10-11 AM you will forced to watch/listen to 'The View' . As a Veteran, no one should be tortured like this for the one hour plus that your waiting. read more

The single thing that I would compliment them on is having pleasant employees. Other than that, this was one of the worst waits I've ever had. I arrived at 4pm and saw that the waiting area was filled with approximately 30-40 people --not good. I was immediately told upon checking in that the wait time would be 5 hours for me to be walking out the door. I thought that was beyond nuts for a drug test and physical, but they actually underestimated it by about two hours. I didn't leave until 10:45! If my visit hadn't been for a pre-employment physical and drug test, I would NEVER have subjected myself to it. There was a single doctor tasked with physicals and injuries --because, remember, they're also an immediate care facility. Well, relatively "immediate" compared to a maybe a bill's journey through congress. The man next to me in the waiting room had gotten injured at work earlier that day, had arrived at noon, and was taken at around 7, and was discharged after I was! The reasons for the slow speed were apparent immediately after entering the door that separated the waiting room from the exam and testing area. No one is in charge. I must have heard some variation of "I can get this one" 4-5 times, meaning there is no system for handling patient flow. No single employee performs any single function, which inevitably results in the whole staff "firefighting" to try and cover all of the bases. I had seperate nurses take my weight and height, blood pressure, and a doctor do the physical. Then after all of my tests were complete they just left me in the room until I asked a passing nurse if I was ready for discharge. She said she had to discharge the man across the hall first, who happened to be the very same man who I was sitting next to in the waiting room! She came back and said she could handle me first, and took me to the desk. She handed the receptionist the papers from the side window, and I walked around front and was handed the carbon copy of them from underneath while I was thanked for my patience. So, what exactly had I been waiting 40 minutes, coat-in-arm for? A Xerox? read more

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Out of 4 Associates including the Physician, only 1 Associate exhibited a respectful & professional position. Rude, Disrespectful, Negligent, Unacceptable Bedside Manner, Impatient, Argumentative, Combative, will talk AT you and not TO you. My worst experience ever. 10 years as a health care professional, none of the behaviors exhibited at this location were ever tolerated. Unfortunately, this experience almost paralleled my own healtg trauma in the industry that resulted in my personal decision to end at 10yrs. UPDATED: It is safe to assume that the Concentra on 31st & Ashland are a benefit strictly for your Employer. The behavior shown is first with assumption that regardless of your respect to your Company and personal motivation to return healthy and strong, many have not operated with the same mindset. Perhaps due to this negative mindset, this location has accepted to deliver negligent, combative, disrespectful, mediocrity treatment to patients driving to THIS particular facility. The treatment I received at the above location, has made me feel like I was in a bull fight and though noticing that this is an Urgent Care/Medical Health Facility which I define as: "Professionally Trained Medical Associates & Medical Doctors, QUALIFIED to respect and abide by the LEGAL rights of a patient, provide professional, competent, thorough assessment and in some cases treatment or recommendations for treatment of said patient," my personal experience convinced me that this facility does not fit that description in ANY WAY. As a previous Medical Health professional surrounded by phenomenal Medical Professionals, not once were we taught or permitted to assess or treat any patient without proper respect, diligent care, equality, empathy, etc. In addition, if there had been any misunderstanding of any kind that we as professionals were unfit to serve as trained, the open door policy, sensitivity training, continuing education, employee health services (EAP), Federal Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other resources were available to EVERY Employee at no cost. If the doors of the facility are opened at 5am and close at Midnight, the exact same care and respect is given. While on a live call with I assume (per the conversation) another patient, the front desk Associate (I assume CNA per my latter request for a nurse to come into the room due to my discomfort with the Dr) asked me 1 WHY I wanted copies of my medical records 2 why I "followed directions" and wrote specific details to my injury 3 consistently snatched a HIPAA form held tightly between my fingers (combative) 4 became argumentive stating she GRABBED the form, all while I assume NEVER noticing me holding my chest due to a sharp pain, from my time there 5 was unamused and standing in a position as if ready to fight while her co-worker had to tell her to keep quiet as she continued to argue with me on my way out the door The above treatment from ONE individual was from the beginning to end of time there. This location suffers from gross incompetence. Front desk person insisted I needed more paperwork despite my handing her everything my employer instructed. She took me out of the system after an hour and then called me to say she found a packet sent by my employee in the back. 3-hour wait times. Over-crowded waiting room. Incompetent workers. The receptionist was friendly enough.. because it is in a strip mall area parking wasn't a issue.. although they don't care if your vehicle is broken into while you wait multiple hours to urinate in a cup.. other than the unnecessary wait every other aspect of their facility and service was average.. I went there one night when I was having heartburn pains. I filled out the paperwork and waited. I did not have to wait very long because there was only one other person in there. The young woman working behind the counter could not have been more professional. The doctor was also very patient and spent a great deal of time with me. Besides the heartburn I was having other problems as well. and he spent a great deal of time asking all sorts of questions to try and find out what was wrong. Because of the problems I was having he said I should go to the er so they could do some test. He did not try to rush me either. I came here for a pre-employment drug test. Employees were courteous and polite. The facilities were clean and comfortable and their technology was up-to-date.. It was just the right amount of sterile without feeling like a laboratory. I was in and out of there in 30 minutes. The waiting area was slightly cramped but they had a coffee/drink machine. read more
