The quality of care that I received was about 5 minutes. Doctor Concepcion filled out my disability papers wrong he had the wrong dates the wrong information and it terminated my disability benefits. He had put a return back to work date on my disability papers before he even received my medical records from UC Davis. Everything on my disability papers were wrong the dates the type of surgery that I had and it did not show anything about my other doctors or rehabilitation to request the medical records before filling disability papers. due to him feeling out my disability papers with the wrong dates those small technicalities cost me my termination of benefits and overpayment and possible fraud charges. I've never experienced having a bad doctor in my life I've always had a really good doctors but there's always a first time for everything. That's too bad because other people working in that building under the same roof are extremely good at their jobs unfortunately he gives Riverbend medical a bad reputation. read more

The service by the desk staff is below par. They are rude to the patients. When you ask the staff for a referral or if something is to be taken care of by the staff, you the patient need to be on the staff so that ball isn't dropped or things come up missing and then they don't know what you are talking about. It's frustrating to have to deal with staff like this and then they want to have an attitude with the patient or the patients family. I will be looking for another practice for my mom to go to, this isn't the place to bring really sick people who need attention read more

He misdiagnosed my mother after knowing him for so many years. Dr. C or Marc as I used to call him years ago was a great doctor. Hence the word "was". But not anymore, after times of attempted phone calls and updates he stopped caring about my mom as a friend and a patient. After years of assurances to me for years concerning my mother's health. We come to find out she had a huge radiation latency effect that was easily detectable, but this egregious misdiagnosis led to her death. Dr. C is the type of doctor that has made me lose faith in the healthcare system. Easily this is a medical malpractice case, as there are so many other incidents in his practice from what I've heard from previous workers at Riverbend under his practice. I battled with my mother to get second opinions, but she carried so much faith in him as a clinician and friend. He is the reason for her death in my honest opinion. read more

He tends to ignore patients that are not considered "upper-middle to upper class". Also ignores other specialists even if he went to school with them on good terms and is just giving their specialist advice on the specialty at hand. I'm completely dissatisfied with his "winning" passion to help others. Medical Professionals take oaths as well to serve and protect the I'll and injured and to maintain a safe measures for all humanity. He needs a refresher course. Marc Concepcion was my randomly assigned HMO doctor when I signed up for my new insurance plan. I actually switched away from him to a doctor that I saw recommended on Yelp, realized she didn't have an appointment available for three months, and switched back to Dr. Concepcion. One of my best medical decisions ever. Seriously. I went in this week because I've been feeling like poo. I made my appointment on Friday and was seen on Thursday (so less than a week). The wait was about twenty minutes once I was there, which I figure is standard for a doctor's office. But he spent a LONG time with me. Longer than I've ever had a doctor take. He explained the practice thoroughly, he did a long history, a physical, and then he spent a good twenty minutes talking to me about different treatment options. He actually suggested daily meditation and getting massages as primary treatment options, which I thought was very holistic of him. They also do the whole online talking to your patients thing. So the lab work he sent me for will show up on my private website and I can email with him about the results. Fantastic. read more

If I could give a 0 I would! Worst family practice doctor ever! If you must go to this office you would be best off if you could schedule with James Lee! Dr. Conception does not return calls, is rude (especially when he doesn't think you will hear him) and has an arrogant, unprofessional demeanor. I have dealt with him shouting swine flu into my daughter's treatment room, not returning calls for weeks on end. He is our assigned physician. We have some labs we need ordered per our UC Davis hospital physician. As soon as those are completed we will be switching our whole family away from River Bend Medical Group! read more

Worst. Office. Ever. This privately owned doctors office conducts a lot of shady business. They have diet pills for sale in the waiting room. Make no mistake, these offices care more about the money they bring in than the patients they treat. The office manager has put policies in place that create barriers and cause patients to be unable to access care. Some examples of poor practices at this location: They cannot do a pregnancy test. They require an office visit for common issues such as uti's and yeast infections, appointment availability can mean waiting over 72 hours for basic pain relief. (most offices handle these requests over the phone) They will charge a copay fee for a repeat visit. They do not have a Patient Advocate. If you break both arms, they make you choose ONE to be x rayed. The waiting room always smells like leftover food. The doctors seem good. But they are very limited by the office policies (NOT insurance policies, which is a separate issue). read more

Didn't get as far to see Dr. Conception. Couldn't tell you how his bedside manner is. What I experienced from his front staff (representatives) told me all I need to know about this doctors office. I waited on hold for 45 mins for someone to answer. I could hear them pick up then place me back on hold without communicating. Once the receptionist answered I gave her some info she then put me on hold for another 15 mins. I only waited to see how long this process would take. I knew I didn't want to be a patient there. In my opinion the doctor needs to hire individuals that are willing to work. The front staff/receptionist are the representatives, the face to his practice and the first who make contact with patients. First impression is everything when looking for a quality provider. They didn't represent this office in a professional manner. Lazy and extremely unprofessional. They are all I needed to know about the quality of care I would have received. On the recommendation of a coworker I saw this doctor twice and that was all it took. He was abrupt, never looked up from his computer, basically ignored me throughout the visit. Having driven 23 miles to see this doctor I came to the conclusion I can be ignored a lot closer to home. read more

Dr. Marc Concepcion is by far the best Doctor I have had. I was seriously starting to give up on finding a good PCP. So glad a lady down at Sutter imaging recommended him. You can truly feel that he cares for his patients. He is very personable and easy to talk to. You feel as if you are talking to a long time friend not a Doctor. Don't get me wrong he is very professional and you feel you are in good hands! He listens to your concerns and takes his time checking you over throughly. He is not one of those Doctors who just brushes your concerns off. No he will address whatever your concern might be and run whatever test might be needed to get to the source of the problem. He is definitely right on top of things!! I highly recommend him to anyone who is tired of just being another name on a chart. At this office you are treated very well by all the staff. His office definitely gets an A+ for customer service!! I plan on being a patient for life. read more

Dr. Concepcion has been my doctor - and a great one - for over 20 years. It's hard to get thru his 'gatekeepers' (office staff) but when I see him, he is solicitous, has a great memory of my history, and takes the time to advise me.
