I would like to share my experience of trading with Concept Car Credit with you. I was made to feel very welcome, and the process was extremely easy and straightforward I did get a lovely looking car, and even a week's free insurance. However, the car started to play up with a severe electrical fault, and now sometimes does not start at all. I contacted the aftersales department and spoke to a man who was quite aggressive and tried to put me off. I ended up driving back to Bolton to take the car to their usual garage, Church Wharf Garage, who again were extremely unhelpful; after leaving the car with them for a few hours, I was told that they could repair the car however, the cost might not be covered by the warranty and if not, I would have to pay them 'hundreds of pounds' and they would keep the car until I paid every penny. However, they would do the work before confirming who was responsible for payment. I did not feel comfortable with this, so sensibly left it. The car failed to work again a few weeks later, so I contacted Concept Car Credit again. Once more, I was spoken to like I was some kind of irritant. So I decided to contact the warranty company directly (they use an external company). They sent me to a garage that couldn't even do a proper diagnosis. However, they did identify and confirm that the car's mileage had been manipulated. The warranty company then kept delaying me until the warranty expired. I couldn't even get a 'phone call from a supervisor. Now I have to spend about £1k on my car, which wasn't worth what I paid for it as it had done more miles than the odometer stated. The log book also stated that the garage had completed a full service the spark plugs were so worn down and corroded that they needed replacing. Had the service been completed? I contacted the CAB, VOSA and Trading Standards, who advised me that the finance company are legally responsible, so I spoke with them. They seemed more surprised that I had found out the car had been clocked, rather than to find that it had been clocked in the first place. They then told me that I had to prove it before they would do anything about it. This is proving to be very difficult, and I'm sure that they know this. I have left this with the police and with Trading Standards. I would recommend that anyone buying through this company do so with caution, and thoroughly check the car and the warranty details before signing anything. read more

i have only given them one star rating but i would have preferred not to have given any WHAT A NIGHTMARE we bought a car from concept car credit and was initially happy with our purchase but have found out that what we were told at the time of sale and what was on the agreement were two completely different things. for instance we was told by the salesman dave that our trade in car was worth 5,500 glasses book price and we had a settlement figure of 3178 which should have left 2322 deposit on the new car but we only got 1500 when we rang and brought this to the finance managers attention he said you signed it there is nothing they can do as it was verbal about the amounts and dave has now left unless we prove it in writing which he knows we can't do. he was basically laughing at us. i would strongly recommend anyone who is brave enough to buy a car from these people please check all the paperwork meticulously before signing anything. they tell you one thing and then bring all this paper work and say sign here and here and here. don't worry it's just what we discussed earlier by time you know it you've been ripped off by 822.00 pounds with not a leg to stand on. very angry and disappointed definitely would not recommend them to anyone and i am taking it up with the financial ombudsman. keep you posted read more

Hi my name is Michael I tried getting a car for ages but bean black listed no hope then dave from concept rang me I dint believe him at first he said he could do it he ran back to say there were still looking and I thought not again r he would need a finders fee but no he rang back at two and said it was sorted and invited me down I was still unsure but got my train ticket and set off there arranged a car to pick me up from garage dave meet me and we went through all the paper work then came back with a choice of four cars that meet wot I wanted then dave went through all paper work and cost and was I happy at payments and of cos I was he left me alone for ten minutes why I had a think just to make sure then a gentman came from credit company and he told me all about pit fall and went threw all figures and I signed it then dave came again and sorted insurance out for me then even gave the car another clean then that was it I was on my way it just took a cupple of hours just wanted to say a big thank you to dave read more

I recently purchased a vehicle from Concept car credit because my friend referred them to me. She was offered £250 if she referred a friend and I was told I would receive a £250 promotional discount on my new car. I purchased a Volkswagen Golf on finance and not only did we both receive our promotion but I was also given a very competitive interest rate, which I could not achieve elsewhere after shopping aound. I would strongly reccomend Concept Car Credit because so many companies make promises but dont deliver but not this time! read more

I have bought four cars from Concept over the past six years and cannot speak highly enough of their staff and the service I've had. I had one problem with a Galaxy I bought around four years ago and Concept collected the car, fixed it and returned it to me all at no cost whatsoever. They even gave me a courtesy car while my Galaxy was being fixed. I've had an Avensys, Mazda and Mondeo and won't even think about going anywhere else when I come to change my present car. Would highly recommend Concept to anyone. read more

I would of struggled to get the car i ddid anywhere else and am very pleased with my purchase. I bought my car from Concept Car Credit in March 2006 and the car registration is december 2002. I have been so pleased with the vehicle i take is for a service once a year, and the garage keep saying you have a good little car there, i have had no parts replaced only winscreen wipers and would certainly go back for another car from them. read more

They sold me a broken car, keep car six weeks did not give to know when I can pick up the car, after six weeks, said the cars do not fix it ignores complete customer deposits lost my car insurance and road tax. Continue to wait and I paid two months for nothing, really warn against buying cars from these people! read more
