I depend on others for rides, and dread anything lengthy, but confusion by them had me scheduled for one doctor, but not for the ophthalmologist for prescription. We ended up there for FOUR HOURS, and were given the next appt. Returned a month or so later and got through the lens doctor, but then stupidly "pushed our luck" going to the optical shop, where I had already determined to keep my frames, which I had purchased from the CH location years ago, so it should have been an easy order, but the sales lady , who was playing my husband against me and effusively apologizing for her suggestions, really pushed for me to get smaller ones...I held my ground, and signed a release of liability, so she would order them...she did so, but again, the visit lasted 3 + Hours!!! I guess the pandemic must have left them shorthanded, like it did ALL OTHER health services? Anyway, the wait times and seeming lack of respect for patients' time is unacceptable. It's been over a month, and I haven't gone back for the lenses, so finally called ( which I expected they'd do, but I guess that's too much to ask for $800+ lenses, which I PRE-PAID...without new frames! I might amend this review when I do go back, but I'm not holding my breath... SO SAD, even more than angry or disappointed, because my vision is terrible, and I wear Coke bottle-thick glasses, so I need friends at my eye doctor's, not to be ignored and delayed, and to wait endlessly!

They changed the time of my appointment (only 10 minutes earlier), and changed the location of the appointment to Pillsbury *Street*. I went to the old location, 10 minutes early, and the receptionist sent me to the Pillsbury Street location. She also called ahead to say I was on my way. Both she and the receptionist at this location emphasized the "10 minute cutoff" rule - the first I ever heard of this. I checked in at 8:42 for an 8:30 appointment. The tech who did my initial screening was fine - she moved me to the doctor's waiting area at 9:10. Finally, at 9:55, I had waited long enough and went to check out and leave. While I was checking out (it's now after 10), someone finally came to get me. When I said I was leaving, that I had other things to do, I was told "well, you were late, and we are running behind." The late part, I get. The running behind? It's now 55 minutes after I got to the doctor's waiting room, and somehow my 10 minutes caused that much of a cascade of lateness? Perhaps they should examine their booking schedules. I'm sad to say I am changing practices, after 13 years with Concord Eye.

I left Concord Eye Care a few years ago because the office is so hard to work with. I had to wait…read morean hour for appointments and it was near impossible to get through to the front desk. I returned recently because my insurance plan left me no other option in Concord. It's worse. While all my other medical providers have an online option to reschedule or communicate with the team, Concord Eye Care puts on you hold for sometimes more than 5 minutes. If you get lucky, the call does not get dropped. Checking in for an appointment is no better. The line is usually four or five people deep and moves so slowly because the front desk seems to have to print out multiple forms and re-ask a dozen questions each time you visit, even when its been a month between appointments. My doctor there - Dr. Gould - is fantastic but I'm not sure I can put up with the hassle of seeing her.

All the staff worked to pull strings to get me in right then and there. The DO I had was very nice and informative, listened to what I had to say and showed me some cool stuff (the base of my brain) as well. Then I met Jamie the Branch Manager. First of all she is a saint! The fact that she was patient as I tried on about 50 pairs of frames before we finally found the right ones (pair number 49). She made me feel like I was the only customer of the day, took in account my dislikes and likes (even I admit some are absolutely ridiculous) and found me the perfect pair. Then we got to the pricing. I already knew what my Co-Pay was with insurance ($60) but was not expecting how amazing the price for a year supply of contacts and a pair of glasses. After all the discounts I walked out only paying $610.78. I was expecting to pay at least a grand! Working with Jamie was like talking to an old friend! It was just a great experience and I will not go anywhere else! I 100% recommend for all your eye care needs!

Good listener; doesn't rush; repeats what patient said to ensure communication is understood. I have seen him work with young children as well as the very elderly, modifying the equipment to accommodate the disabled or frail. His staff exhibit the same care and patient support as he does .. A very comfortable environment to go to. Parking is ample in adjacent parking garages. Everything is wheelchair accessible and valet parking is available when necessary. Office is adjacent to Concord Hospital and is part of their medical office compound.
