***THIS PLACE IS AWESOME*** I accidentally showed up today 02/10 at 10am when my appointment was actually 03/10 at 10am. All the staff worked to pull strings to get me in right then and there. The DO I had was very nice and informative, listened to what I had to say and showed me some cool stuff (the base of my brain) as well. Then I met Jamie the Branch Manager. First of all she is a saint! The fact that she was patient as I tried on about 50 pairs of frames before we finally found the right ones (pair number 49). She made me feel like I was the only customer of the day, took in account my dislikes and likes (even I admit some are absolutely ridiculous) and found me the perfect pair. Then we got to the pricing. I already knew what my Co-Pay was with insurance ($60) but was not expecting how amazing the price for a year supply of contacts and a pair of glasses. After all the discounts I walked out only paying $610.78. I was expecting to pay at least a grand! Working with Jamie was like talking to an old friend! The ladies were great and I love my glasses. What I did not like and will not use their doctor again is they fact that after the exam, I find out that the exam is only for one year. I have never had a one year exam, usually good for two years. The us his way of making money off people and at $95 for one year is ridiculous and price gouging at that. But, they choose to use his service so one stop shopping there us not an option for me. With that being said will mostly not go back. read more

So I made an appointment and went in. I arrived for my appointment and the staff treated me like a VIP. the optometrist was there waiting for me and after a thorough eye exam, I was released to the sales staff. I am sort of mixed here with Visionworks. First the people are fine, very nice, very attentive. However the product is not great. Took about two weeks for my glasses to come in. They were rather expensive and the quality was not there. I have had them since May by January and a lease is already scratched with just everyday use (were in the middle of COVID folks nothing but home office work) and the frame is starting to come loose. My wife's lenses popped out and she bought hers around the same time. Not great. I will say they fixed my wife's glasses pretty fast I still need to bring mine in. Like I said a mixed bag. read more

First, let me say that the people who work in the Concord NH office are great. They are very friendly and helpful. They were having a buy one get one sale, so I got a pair of regular glasses and sunglasses. I purchased the premium anti-glare coating on the regular glasses, and that's why I'm giving them such a low score. My old glasses have the Crizal anti-glare coating, and there is NO glare. My NEW glasses from Visionworks have such bad glare, that I can't weare them. I returned to the store to explain this, thinking perhaps the coating wasn't applied, but nobody really had any answers or solutions. They confirmed the coating was applied because the lenses had a bluish tint. What this tells me is that the anti-glare coating that they use is sub-par, and not work the extra money. I was able to make an appointment same day by going to the visionworks website. It was super easy. When I arrived for my exam, everyone was very friendly. The optician explained my insurance and I was able to get a pair of glasses that were fully covered by my insurance, which is always a plus. The glasses came with a warranty that covers any type of breakage. As a dad of a rambunctious toddler, this is a huge benefit. Overall, it's a great place, with a great selection of frames. read more

My wife was helping her Granddaughter arrange her baby shower. Her Granddaughter has Amblyopia, and is completely dependent on her glasses to see anything, much less drive. She accidentally dropped her glasses and broke the frames, so in a panic to get them fixed, they mistakenly went to Visionworks. Their answer was they didn't want to sell her a frame and install the old lenses, and told them she would have to see a doctor, get a prescription, and get new lenses in addition to the new frames. This would have taken a week, and she needed to drive home for work tomorrow. They left, and went to Walmart where they installed the old lenses into a new frame. My wife explained their dilemma, and the kind lady at Walmart explained that if you don't buy their whole package, doctor and all, they won't give you any help. I made the mistake of scheduling an afternoon appointment on the Friday before St. Patrick's Day (a Saturday) and the optometrist clearly wanted to get out of the office. I have had vision exams every year for the past 10 years and this was by far the quickest (read: least thorough) exam I've had yet. Was in and out in about 15 minutes. The optometrist gave me a new trial pair of contacts one at a time, without telling me the prescription. It literally went: OK, LEFT EYE. NOW THIS IS THE RIGHT EYE. I did however manage to catch a glimpse of one of the eye's prescriptions. She asked me to read the diagram and I couldn't- my vision was all wonky. She said it would take time to adjust and sent my on my way. I tried wearing the contacts everyday for a week and it was an instant headache. My vision never adjusted. I came back for my follow up and discovered that SHE HAD SWITCHED THE CONTACTS DESIGNATED FOR EACH EYE. When we realized this, the optometrist refused to take responsibility for the mix up- she kept saying, YOU must have switched them. Um, no. I did exactly as you told me and you watched. I got the contacts in the right eyes, though she would not give me the prescription until I tried them out for a few days. I called back in a few days to have my prescription faxed, and THEY FAXED ME THE WRONG PRESCRIPTION. Not only that, but the prescription was not signed (therefore, useless). Thank goodness I was vigilant and did not get the wrong prescription filled! Had to call back three times to get the right prescription, signed, faxed to me. Will never be returning, cannot trust my eyesight to such non-detail-oriented "professionals." read more

My whole family started using Visionworks when they opened (6 of us total). The service was exceptional. After a couple of weeks, I realized my glasses didn't quite fit.
