Mary, the hygienist in New London clearly doesn't like kids. she's been nasty to my son with special needs every time he's been there! The front office isn't much better. We got a bill for 7k$ to fix his fillings. I asked if we could do a payment plan. "Absolutely not they said!" I said "if i can't Pay up front, what do I do to take care of my son", who is in pain mind you. They said "arrange payment and come back then". All they care about is money, not kids! Got a super rude letter after our child with special needs was unsuccessful at attending his second appointment. I suspect this nonsensical letter was intended to disinvite us from the rescheduled appointment, though I hadn't realized that yet when I called them to complain about the tone of this correspondence. I left an (admittedly) angry message to try to clarify the intended message behind the last sentence. After additional reflection I called back and left another message to say we are just going to find another provider. My son was referred to you because of behavioral issues he demonstrated at his last dentist appointment where he was combative and they couldn't get him even into the exam area. I called y'all to ask before his first appointment to see if you had some kind of plan for him - nope. I asked if y'all had any other unique practices for special needs kids - nope. "We deal with them all the time." Oh, great. I'm glad you "deal" with them. Rather than waste everyone's time with a massive meltdown that would have caused EVERYONE stress (including the "many children waiting to be seen") - we rescheduled and arranged for the behavioral therapist to come along with us. Fast forward to the day of the second appointment - My husband and the behaviorist spent *forever* trying to get our son to the appointment, lots of blood/sweat/tears and just as he was about to admit defeat and call you - the practice called him. The appointment was rescheduled again. Does the tone of this letter match those events, to you? They haven't even experienced my son's challenges... because try as we might we can't get him in the car after the episode at his last dentist....and you're *already* this rude and discompassionate...? Pediatric Dentistry is one of the best offices in the area, both of my children go here. My child who is 8 and disabled who absolutely is terrified of the dentist they are very patient and understanding with. I brought my son here for a tongue tie, this was done by Dr. Hinton who has great bedside manner. Tongue ties however are not submitted by the office to insurance, I wish this could be fixed. The tongue tie was done in September they quoted me around $900 but it was closer to $1400. I still am fighting for reimbursement with our insurance, unfortunately. read more

While the hygienists were very friendly, the billing office employees are extremely rude. That's putting it nicely. Watch what they charge you for. We switched and had the exact same service and it was more than half the price for the same service. Plus the fact that we no longer have to deal with the rude females in billing. I've had no problems with Concord pediatric dentistry. After reading reviews, I was kind of scared to take my kids there. But I've never had a bad experience. I've never in countered a rude person. I really like that they give you several calls, emails and texts for an appointment. Having 7 kids sometimes remembering appointments can be a challenge. Even for someone who is wicked organized like me. The only downside I would say about this place is they are the only doctors I've in countered that don't "allow" the parents to come back with your child. read more

My son was referred to their office for a cavity fix. They recommended that he be seen every 3 mos in their office for cleanings (out of pocket) till he got to know the staff. I declined and said he was going there for a cavity fix not cleanings and get to know you appointments. 2 days later they sent me a certified letter kicking all my kids out of their practice. When I called to talk to the office manager about this she said that I was very rude to her staff on the phone even saying I hung up on her. My son has a regular dentist and receives regular cleanings. I did not feel having him have cleanings every 3 mos out of pocket was a needed. read more

My son has been coming here for the past year and a half, he is turning 4 this summer. We have had the best experiences here. They are patient, understanding and very connected to working with kids. We have had nothing short of a great experience each time and my son loves earning a coin to get a prize from one of the machines after his visit. Office staff is rude and only looking for money. They wanted to do 12 friends on my child all baby teeth one needed to be pulled and yet they refused and wanted to drill it instead. Run as fast as you can away from this place as they only care about money and could care less if they are injuring your child. Would give no stars if it was an option. read more

After searching for a pediatric dentist to correct a lip and tongue tie we chose to go to this facility for the evaluation and correction. When I scheduled the appointment I was told the doctor would correct the issue that day if she felt it was necessary. I was Long story short after being seen 45 minutes past our scheduled appointment time I was given a less than 15 minute appointment in which the dentist confirmed the diagnosis of a lip and tongue tie. She informed me that she requires a functional assessment by a speech pathologist/ feeding consultant prior to performing the procedure. After being unable to get into a office any place for a functional assessment I finally found an amazing pediatric dentist in Amherst NH. Over 200 dollars for a 15 minute appointment/ consult that was a complete waste of time. Look elsewhere if your child needs a corrective procedure for lip, tongue or cheek tie. read more

I would not recommend this office to anyone. They quoted me $6000+ for work over 4 appointments. Because it was such a large amount I decided to get 2 separate second opinions. The first office we went to wasn't a pediatric dentist - wanted a completely honest opinion with them knowing they weren't doing any of the work. Then got another opinion from a pediatric dentist we ultimately went with. We had to get completely new X-rays as the ones concord pediatric dentistry took were completely unusable (child not to blame, she did amazing! The placement was just horrible and not in the proper place to see the roots of the affected teeth). Not to mention it took 4 phone calls from me and 2 from the other dentist to even get the X-rays from them. Both dentists I got second opinions from were completely shocked by the extreme treatment plan concord was wanting to do - most of it being completely unnecessary. It was honestly sad when they told me how many people they get seeking out second opinions from concord pediatrics. Especially as an overwhelmed parent who could have just gone along and trusted concord pediatric dentistry. Yikes. A couple simple fillings later and I not only saved THOUSANDS of dollars but also found a dental office we love that takes more than 10 minutes to poke around someone's mouth. Would not recommend this office to anyone. Looking back I wish I actually read their reviews and posted in a FB group for opinions sooner as this seems to be a common theme with their office. read more

My family dentist told me to have an issue looked at by a pediatric dentist. We went to this practice and they gave us a treatment plan for thousands of dollars. They said there were several cavities (not mentioned by my family practice). When I questioned they kicked all of my children out of the practice. I got a third opinion from another pediatric dentist and they said they were barely cavities and the teeth would fall out before they became an issue. The issue I was referred for will be resolved for a few hundred rather than thousands. It is unethical to put a child through unnecessary procedures not to mention shameful. Don't go here! read more

The dental care was pretty good and the hygienists and dentists made my children feel comfortable. However, when I requested a less frequent X-ray schedule for my two children without any history of cavities (which I discussed with our pediatrician) the doctors asked me to leave the practice. I was also willing to keep a standard X-ray schedule for my child with a history of cavities. I was disappointed that they would not consider a less frequent X-ray schedule for a child without problems. There is a growing understanding now that patients, especially children, should limit their exposure to radiation, and should be x-rayed only if there is a medical reason to do so, not just to "follow a schedule" rotely. Medicine is not a "one size fits all" practice and each patient's needs and issues should be evaluated independently. I honestly wonder if it was a money issue, if they only wanted patients in the practice who would have a higher profit if they were to get more frequent X-rays. read more

Poor billing practices and extremely rude customer service. We got services in 2014 and just this past month (3 years later) they billed us claiming our insurance did not cover the claim. I called the insurance company and the agent told me that the company did not comply with them in providing an accurate license and tax ID number, therefore they did deny the claim because they had no proof that this was a licensed dentistry. My insurance contacted them requesting that they provide accurate licensing and tax ID information. Concord Pediatric Dentistry did not. When I called the office to inform them of this the receptionists response was that I was responsible, not them. When I insisted that that could not be possible since they as a company had not responded to my insurance companies request, she argued back that "we should all admit to a shared responsibility." Nope! I am not responsible for a denied bill if you refuse to provide proper license and tax ID information to an insurance company. read more

This dentist was great... until we actually had a problem.... then it was poor customer service! The dentist highly suggested my son get laughing gas to get a baby tooth extracted. It cost extra because it's not covered by insurance. Later I found out that my son never received the laughing gas I paid extra for. My trust in this dentist was gone, so I called to switch dentist, and the man on the phone said he would transfer his records and call me back to talk about a refund on the laughing gas. He never called me back, he never transfered the records....he never even made note of me calling. My second request to transfer records did go through, but still never heard back or got a refund on the laughing gas that my son never received : / read more

BEWARE! They used a prescription medicine on my child that was not necessary. My daughter had to have a tooth extracted today, and I have to say that I am very disappointed with Concord Pediatric Dentistry. I was informed how the procedure would go, and that it would include "happy air" to calm the child. At no point was I informed that I could opt out of "happy air" and that it is really only used for smaller children or children who are scared or fidgety, which my daughter is not. They also neglected to inform me that my insurance does not cover "happy air" *at all.* That would be zero, zilch. So the most expensive part of my payment? - "Happy air." $31 dollars for the extraction (which included Novocain) is reasonable, but $58 to get my kid high? Come on.... I should have been informed that the "happy air" was optional and that it was not covered by not just my insurance by absolutely any insurance. They told me after the procedure, of course, that no insurance covers the use of "happy air" that they know of. I feel like I've been swindled and even violated. They used a prescription medicine on my child that was unnecessary. read more
