I LOVE studying at Ross School of Business. Although, I may be biased, it is a great study spot…read more There is a plethora of places to sit, although, the one down side is it is a very popular spot, so it can get very crowded. The location is very convenient for other campus buildings and there is food and Starbucks available inside. I often sit in the Winter Garden because it is most accessible, but there is a lot of hidden spots if you time some time to explore.

If you are attending a conference at the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business, this is…read morea conveniently located hotel since it's essentially part of the Ross School and it's within easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. It is a clean, quiet, modern, and green hotel that is perfect for the business traveler. There is a fitness room and lounge areas, and an awesome market on the first floor that has excellent coffee, friendly staff, and probably the best steel cut oatmeal for only $1.50! I also liked the fact that it had an easy-to-use coffee maker with Green Mountain Coffee, Tea, and Hot Chocolate, and you had free bottled water that was always replenished. The housekeeping staff was excellent. I'm refraining from giving it five stars for a few reasons. First of all, the parking was inconvenient. The hotel is next to a parking lot that charges $1.50 per hour and there didn't seem to be a way out of this (in fact, my room overlooked the top level of the parking lot, which was painful considering I couldn't park there!). So, guests were encouraged to park on the streets, but there was no loading/unloading/check-in zone in front of the hotel. The residential area is gorgeous and safe, but the only reason why I found any parking at all (sometimes in excess of two blocks away, which is tough with luggage) was because school wasn't in session yet. Fortunately, I wasn't fighting with students over parking spots. Second of all, this really is for business travelers. The beds were 3 inches smaller than a normal queen and there were no other size beds--so don't plan on bringing guests if you want a good night sleep! Otherwise, the beds are super comfy. Thirdly, the rooms were small, but not quite NYC small. It was comfortable enough, as long as you don't expect to spend much time there during the day. Finally, the fitness room could stand to have more equipment. It was very clean with a fridge full of water in environmentally friendly bottles, but it filled up fast by 6am if the hotel was at capacity. I expected more for $150/night in Ann Arbor, Michigan, but you do pay for convenience. Also, you can't beat how friendly and helpful the folks are in Michigan!

Just a comment to start that this is a review of the Law Library and not of the Law School. I was a…read moreundergrad at U of M, but not a Law student. The law libary is perhaps one of the best places to study on the whole campus. Unlike the Ugli which is where people go to pretend to study and the Hatcher graduate library which can get seriously quiet and spooky later at night (sometimes attracting folks like the Unabomber who was a grad student at Michigan), the Law Library offers a good balance of being able to see other people around and a general 'no loud noises' rule to maintain a good productive vibe. With its cathedral like ceiling, it's a beautiful place to sit with only a mild hum of noise that feels like white noise to help you get serious work done.

The courtyard has a quiet, old feel which both holds some awe to it but also feels really relaxing. Then there is the library...oh the '70's! The green carpet is a little hard on the eyes, but it definitely made me want to return for put-put golf in the library (one of the school's fundraisers). Another fascinating feature is the stained glass windows of crimes and other aspects of the law. From the stained glass window depicting murder to that depicting debt collectors dragging away a person who was going bankrupt... I don't think the windows were originally intended to be comical, but I found them hilarious. The law quad is really cool to visit. Go blue!

Not only did they make her "wait in line" months until her cancer grew and got bigger, they treated her like a patient.. not a human. They told her they only had to take one boob plus her nipple... until she got another opinion from a more professional, better doctor which was able to save both of her boobs and nipples. These people SUCK and use college students as "doctors". My mom honestly could have died or been in very bad condition if it weren't for her surgeon in Trenton Dr. Mabry (amazing woman) who did her surgery last minute because she didn't trust anyone at UofM. Please do not trust a single person. I've heard multiple people we are close with NOT trust anyone there. They treat you like test guinea pigs because of all the young college people. Please, save yourself the time and money. Here comes the lawsuit Michigan! Fuck you. My mom would have been closer to recovery if she chose someone else first. Please don't go to this hospital .
