Like many swimming venues, it is probably going to be humid in the stands. Highly suggest dressing in layers and bringing your own water bottle. Depending on the host team, there will be a decent or a major concession area. The gym will be open for younger siblings to run. There are plenty of places to hang out other than the stands, especially if you're looking for an outlet to charge your phone. The locker rooms are big, and kid says the showers stay warm all day. Plus you're in a neighborhood with every single type of cuisine imaginable, so your after meet meal will be awesome.

She didn't give me option to take tests with class she forced me to do away from them. She even raised her voice and said come back at 1:00pm I don't want you in here while other students were testing. There were other times so I withdraw from her class reported to the dean. With my other classes I got 4 A's and then they put me on academic suspension and financial aid suspension. For reporting a disrespectful teacher. Lastly food from grill made me very sick. If you're disabled be careful and don't be afraid to report but beware of the consequences for doing it. Like I got. Ps I was going to go far but they stop me from doing it.

Complaint Regarding Erin's Conduct - Admissions Office…read more I'm writing a complaint about Erin, who works at the front desk in the Admissions Office. I normally don't take the time to write complaints, but after several negative and frustrating experiences, I feel this needs to be addressed. The first time I ever visited campus, Erin was available but ignored me when my name appeared on the service screen. She looked at me, turned away, and did nothing--no typing, no paperwork, nothing. Another employee, Xiong, eventually helped me. Xiong has always been helpful and professional, but Erin's refusal to assist me was noticeable and uncomfortable. My second experience with Erin was over the phone when I called about a billing issue for a summer (June) class I thought had been dropped. I received an email about an unpaid balance and wanted clarification. When I explained this, Erin asked when I registered. I told her I didn't remember exactly. She responded in a condescending tone, saying, "It was June and you don't even remember?" I let that go because I don't have spare time like her, I asked about payment plan options since I wanted to register for another class. She told me payment had to be made in full, and when I asked to be transferred to Financial Aid to confirm, she refused--repeating herself word-for-word multiple times. Like a robot, reading a script, she repeated herself on needing a full payment and why others would say the same. I had to insist several times before she finally transferred me. The entire call was extrememly draining and disrespectful. My most recent experience was just as frustrating. I called to ask whether I could join a class late with the professor's approval. Instead of listening, Erin kept cutting me off and repeating that "they don't hold seats for students." I tried to explain that I wasn't asking for a seat hold, just clarification about contacting the professor because I had holds and if he thought it would be too late then I could contact another school who I knew could give me the course. She talked over me repeatedly, refused to listen, and raised her voice, "WE DONT HOLD SEATS EVEN IF YOUR TRYING TO GRADUATE ON TIME". I told her to transfer me to someone else because she was talking over me and that it was ridiculous what she was doing. She began repeating herself word by word on why she was right and why I couldn't talk with the professor. Honestly, she sounded like a crazy medicated person. I had to hang up because the conversation was going nowhere and she was wasting my time. When I called again and spoke to another staff member they ransferred me to an Academic Advisor, Scott, he confirmed exactly what I was trying to ask--that I could email the professor to request late enrollment. I wasted an hour to get a simple answer. And am wasting my time writing this about Erin. I'm a visiting student, not even enrolled full-time, and I already find interactions with Erin extremely stressful. I can't imagine what regular students go through dealing with her. College is not a joke--students are investing time, effort, and money into their education. We deserve staff who are patient, professional, and willing to listen. St. Paul College is a great institution with many helpful employees like Xiong and Scott. Unfortunately, Erin's conduct leaves a negative impression that does not reflect the college's standards. I hope this matter is addressed seriously.

We had a resident who primarily took care of us, and she was kind, knowledgeable and compassionate. While the services are on the expensive side, I would not hesitate to come back again.

They did not want to meet with us on an emergency case until after the doctor did an exam. Us knowing our pet was not valuable to them. I am left with the feeling that our pets are just teaching subjects for them and we pay for the privilege of being disrespected. Another experience with them was that they over treat/experiment with our pets, wanting to try the latest medicine or teach something new instead of doing what is best for the pet. Be prepared to challenge what they suggest which is the opposite of why I consult a vet. I am looking for caring instead of being bulldozed. It's a shame they care more about teaching and collecting money than about the animals.

I have nothing against this University, and it seems kind of cool. I'm not going to turn up my nose and complain about their entrance standards because most of the kids around here seem as smart or smarter than that a lot of the other colleges so that doesn't seem to be a problem. It's just so damn cold up here so I don't envy anybody going to school around here. Some of the kids aren't the friendliest but that can be said about a lot of the schools these days. And of course there's a massive Stadium overlooking the whole little area and Dinkytown which is kind of part of this area is right next to it and possibly even cooler. And here is what I said about the Uni neighbourhood and Dinkytown, which is kinda part of it: More like the Looneyversatile District, because crazy folks wander these streets and the food around here is quite versatile. I'm in love with the University District of Minneapolis - it's just absolutely fabulous. Lots of beautiful people and lots of fun and energy and excitement. Not always the safest neighbourhood but definitely a very enjoyable part of town. Also lots of great ethnic food and fun things happening and some delicious bubble tea and just basically one of the coolest University Districts in the whole of the Great Lakes region. And here's what I had to say about Dinkytown, which is sort of part of this district: Not to be confused with Dickytown, which is full of men that love men. Or Dingytown which is run down. Or Ditzytown where Barbie and I live. Dinkytown is basically college kid Paradise because you have everything you would want within about 5 square blocks and it's fun and young and energetic and there's places to drink and pharmacies and places to drink and restaurants and places to drink and did I mention that there are places to drink around here as well. Many residence Halls are here and it's just basically a really cool part of town where all the college students are and I highly recommend that if you come to Minneapolis, and you want to be where the action is in the afternoons or evenings of any given day, then I recommend coming to Dinkytown cuz it's pretty awesome. The Korean place was really good and a there's lot of other good food places around and you can't really go wrong. There's also two Kung Fu Tea locations within a few blocks and a Chatime, and a Darque Tan, and a Sencha Tea Bar and a Bambu, and if you've got like half a dozen Boba joints or more within a few Square blacks than you know you are in a very cool area. And it's not even Chinatown. It's for everybody. Kung Fu Tea makes the best drinks out of all of those. Lemon Black Tea FTW. But the Sencha around here is really nice and much nicer than the other locations if you have been to all of them like I have - even one in Madison. Perfect neighbourhood. And don't accidentally go to Dixietown. It's in Alabama. And you might end up in the Slammer.

The University of Minnesota has poorly mishandled the future of their students by providing such…read morepoor service in the admission office by lack of communication, total irresponsibility, and blatant understand of organization. I attempted to transfer to Normandale Community College to University of Minnesota Twin Cities but of course like all students transcripts are required. I was told multiple times that Normandale does not transfer transcripts due to U of M's lack of organization, so they stated I HAVE to go through National Student Clearinghouse. I was accepting of that. Until they managed to lose that transcript. How does one lose an e-transcript? Another issue was on my application I had "College of Lake County." also known as "CLC" with the correct address, located in Grayslake, Illinois. I remember this clearly. However they argued with me profusely stating I needed a letter from "CLC" "Central Lakes College" in Minnesota. That was mailed. And they lost that as well. This has been an awful experience and honestly because it has been this difficult to get into this school, I am no longer interested in applying. It's an average school. From what I have read professors are busy with graduates while soon to be graduates are teaching the undergraduate classes which are 40-200 depending on what class you take. U of M does not have the best interest of their students in mind. They have lost sight of their future: the students. I recommend doing an overhaul of the more important departments. Like Admissions. Calling in four times and each time stating to correct name and address? That is ridiculous.
