The only reason it is not 5 stars is because it took 5 months to get this remedy (and posting these reviews). --------------------------------------------------------------------- Great company as long as there are no problems. Good price, quick to come out and do the work. I had them do two projects. A stamped concrete patio which looked great, and a front walkway. The walkway started to crack about a month after it was installed. First one crack, then another. That's when I decided to contact them. Since then, more cracks. We have been going back and forth over text for 5 months now. Occasionally, there is a response. Even a commitment that they will come out. Nobody has. Roll the dice - if there is no problem with the work they do, they are great. If something happens and you need them to come back out and fix their work, you may be out of luck like me.

I was immediately impressed by Paul's depth of knowledge and unique experience related to native design which set him apart from the rest of the field in North Texas. Fast forward 10 months and two extensive design implementations later (front and back yards) I couldn't be happier with the results. The results are two of the most uniquely designed & implemented yards in all of DFW. The backyard is completely native southwestern landscaping with rock, cactus and agaves imported from all over Texas, Arizona, and California. In contrast the front is classic southern with original elements picked up in New Orleans and Savannah. In the end the pictures, which I have posted here, speak for themselves. If you are looking for someone to develop and implement a totally unique high end design Paul is your best option in North Texas hands down. His design acumen puts him in a category all his own in North Texas and on par with the best native landscape architects from across the country including places such as Palm Springs, CA and Austin, TX.

First to repair a rock wall that had not been built correctly by a previous contractor and was starting to fall over. Paul and his crew completely disassembled the wall, put in a more solid base and rebuilt the wall the right way. Second, we had Texas Nativescapes fix a drainage and erosion issue that was causing damage to our back fence. Paul and his team removed about 240 sq ft of grass and dirt and replaced with base of decomposed granite and river rock. Both finished projects look great.

I was given a price of $ 250.00 a ton to $ 315.00 a ton with variations of stone. I told him we would be there to pick-up on Tuesday. He was very nice & I told him my needs for the stone & he even offered suggestions on the leveling with decomposition granite. My husband, son & I arrive on Tuesday as planned with our 16' trailer, as discussed with Scott as well to accommodate the weight of the stone. We are helped by Matt & he starts figuring up how much it would cost us & another worker states that they just had increase to $ 375.00 a ton. Long story short, it cost me $ 750.73 for this paving stone. Go to Good Earth Soil & Materials folks. They sell the same stone for $ 250.00 to $ 265.00 a ton for the same stone. I called this morning to see if I could bring it back & get my money since it is still on the trailer & has not been touched. I was informed no returns or exchanges! The woman in the office was polite and heard me out, the gentleman in the office was not very friendly and a bit rude. I called for a service in the morning earlier in January and was told I would get a call back if someone was available to stop by. I never received that call back where I could ask for service rates but somebody showed up at my door later that morning. They opened my unit up and found no issues, this took all of 25 minutes including the drive over to my house. I politely asked over the phone when I received an invoice for a full 1 hour service call if they would drop it to a half hour and they said they can't, it's policy to charge a full hour minimum for a service call. Well, I was never made aware of policy because I never received a call back to ask any further questions. I went in to speak to someone in person about this and like I said, the woman was very polite. The man in the office said "No, we've been doing it this way for years and we aren't going to change for you." I wrote them a check and left. If I was made aware of the $125 minimum I probably wouldn't have had anyone out due to the nature of my issue or I would have at least been able to agree with the cost. This isn't the way I would treat my local customers, I'll be going anywhere but Baker for my HVAC needs in the future.

I trust the owner, Andrew, so decided to give Trinity Turf a call. I spoke with Theresa. She was friendly, personable and knowledgeable. She was able to provide a quote, one that I found fair and schedule a delivery for the same week. Since I was trying to get the grass in before it was too deep into fall I found this perfect. The delivery driver, Billy, texted the morning of the delivery. He was on time and helpful. I requested that the pallets went a couple of places and he nicely agreed to do so with no fuss. He was down to earth and friendly. I understand bad experiences with companies can happen, but personally, this was not the case for me when working with Trinity Turf Nursery. I hope your experience is as great as mine!
