I had a leak that turned into a much bigger job, the whole crew was awesome. They worked hard locating the leak that ended up being leaks. I was communicated with the whole time and shown everything every step of the way. After several days of hard work they got all my issues fixed the right way. We had an underground drip line cut and needed some heads adjusted to minimize spray on the fence. We decided to also have the full system checked. The crew noted that when they were testing the system there was the sound of a water leak near the main valve. We gave the go ahead and a leaking valve was discovered. Here goes- they came to my house for an estimate to put in a sprinkler system the Friday after July 4th. I live on a 1/16 acre lot. I wanted around the foundation, the front yard, back yard and my garden. I was told that the next day I'd have an estimate but they thought I'd need about 9 zones. Seemed a little high. I also needed a drainage spout extended about 15 feet. That one little add on I'm told was 850 bucks. I nodded but knew they'd be high, but since they were so highly recommended on here figured okay. Saturday no estimate emailed to me. I called on Tuesday around 10 and was rolled into voicemail. Left a message that I hadn't received the estimate when would I receive it. Crickets! I called the day after rolled right into VM again. Left another message. No response. Okay they don't want my business. They could have said something. Wouldn't recommend any company that ignores you after saying they'd give you an estimate. If you get them to talk to you- there is a good chance a company that does this won't finish the job midway through. Guess I dodged a bullet because I was prepared to pay top dollar for a job well done. They won't be the ones doing the sprinkler installation. read more

Had a problem with our sprinklers blowing excess water onto the foundation and masonry some of which had seeped into the house. My previous sprinkler guys had not been able to solve the problem. Erik was very nice, but seemed more interested in upselling us a completely revamped system than on fixing the leak we had. He couldn't determine exactly where the leak was, so he came back the next day with someone else, to say they couldn't determine where the leak was, and suggested it was out brand new 3 month old plumbing (installed by a meticulous plumbing company) and that we should hire a leak detection service to find out for sure, then call them if it is the sprinkler system. We'll get a second opinion. They did NOT charge us a service call, which we found acceptable. read more

I am a layperson, no, completely ignorant when it comes to sprinkler systems. I grew up in a home that did not have them, and now I live in a house that came with one pre-installed. I was trying to plant grass seed in the road verge and when I went to turn my sprinkler system on, nothing happened. I found my master valve box was completely buried in dirt, and the valves buried in more dirt. I figured out how to turn the system on, and the moment I did one zone wouldn't shut off. That's when I reached out to Premium Irrigation & Drainage. Eric paid me a visit on Memorial Day and quickly was able to help me understand how the master valve box functioned and how the sprinkler zones worked. Pretty much the second he showed up he knew exactly what was wrong. I was extremely impressed by his expertise. He replaced the broken valve that caused the zone to never shut off and it was fixed. I asked him if it was possible for him to replace the master valve box because every time I look in there it's filled with dirt. He said he'd be back the next day, but that was when severe weather hit. I didn't blame him because we had hurricane level winds and flood warnings everywhere. I shot him a text and he said he'd be here the following day. Sure enough, he was, along with Alex. They got to work replacing the master control valve box, installed a PVC shutoff, and filled the bottom of the box with pea gravel. It looks so nice now, and I can actually turn the valves with my hands and not have to use a pry bar to turn it through inches of mud and dirt. Before Alex and Eric left, Eric even suggested I might want to replace one of the sprinkler heads because it had a slight leak. Eric and Alex are both professionals who are clearly experts at what they do. If I have more sprinkler problems, I'm definitely giving Premium Irrigation & Drainage a call again. read more

My water usage has been up the last three months and we've been trying to figure out what the heck is going on. After calling plumbers, they told us that it looks like it's an irrigation issue and said to call the irrigation company that installed everything when my home was built. Well, we are five years into the home, which puts us three years out of the warranty, on top of that the company that originally installed everything no longer exists, so I went on to yelp to see what I could find. That's where premium irrigation and drainage comes in! I called and set up an appointment for the following week and the team showed up on time, took a quick look at the property and quickly found the problem was the sprinkler controller in the garage had been causing the sprinkler system to run three times anytime it was scheduled to run. So if I was watering my yard two or three days out of the week, it would cycle through every zone THREE times, which was causing my water usage to skyrocket. The owner, Joseph, recommended I swap out the old controller for modern, smart controller that I can tie to my phone, that way I have better control of my irrigation system. He got me the Rachio 3 and his team installed it for me right there on the spot. He also spent a ton of time walking through my property and giving me recommendations based on what he saw. He patiently let me ask an abundance of questions that help me better understand my yards needs. There are a few projects that I plan on getting done in the future that require I modify my irrigation layout before hand. His wife Jenna was wonderful when I spoke to her over the phone when I was initially setting up the appointment as well, and the rest of the team on site were very patient and professional. This is my first time ever having to call an irrigation company out of my house, so I'm not really sure how pricing compares, but I feel that I was treated fairly and had a very good experience, so I do plan on reaching out to this company for my future projects. read more

I'm posting this review as a heads up for anyone who is considering Premium for drainage work. I have had a terrible time getting them to make my system work properly. My drainage problems are worse now than before Jensen installed a system that I paid about $5800 for. My atrium and back yard flooded during that heavy rain we had a week ago. If it had rained longer, my home would have flooded. Jenna, Jensen's wife, wrote to me that they will have to charge more to make it work in a heavy storm. That just seems crazy to me. I asked for a system that would prevent my atrium from flooding, which could result in water coming into the house. They also tore up a decomposed granite walkway along the back of my home and a pavestone area where they cut through to install the pipe. I chose Premium because of the great reviews here. I really hope they come through and do the honorable thing and make my drainage system work properly. I've paid them the price Jensen quoted in full and I DO NOT have a sufficiently functional system yet. It is clear they want to charge extra for the system to work to "accommodate very heavy storms." That just seems ridiculous to me. She also wrote: "There was a budget we were working within and other options were presented to you." (see below) That's just not true. Jensen never said he would install a system that would make my atrium flood, but for a little more he could install one that would actually work properly. (also, crazy) Here is what Jenna wrote to me: Hello Chris, The system does work for what was quoted/paid for and what was installed. The pump and drain are working. There was a budget we were working within and other options were presented to you. We have continued to come out and do what was necessary to make sure you are satisfied but we cannot redo the entire drain to make it accommodate very heavy storms at no additional cost. We do not want a bad relationship either but we cannot do work for no charge and we feel we are being threatened into a situation where we have to continue making adjustments that are not reasonable. It is my understanding there has only been one storm to evaluate the effectiveness of the drain. There have been other days of rain where the pump is working, am I correct? Jenna read more

Sprinkler system was severely damaged when a substantial tree had to be removed which was lost to the freeze, the stump grinding took out 2 sprinkler lines & control wiring. They quickly located the buried control-boxes, from there they located the damage piping & wires and skillfully rebuilt the section that had been destroyed. Afterwards they inspected the entire system and found a lot of issues that I wasn't even aware of, some of the breaks were quite serious.
