Of the 8 man crew, only one American (foreman) could speak English.When he was gone, I could not communicate with the crew who were from Equador (?) I think. Nice crew but no communication. I asked them to modify the soffit and the owner explained how they would do it but then reneged and said he wouldn't do it. Piles of nails dropped around my driveway. The new drip edge looks wavy instead of a straight line. They didn't return emails and phone messages. "We're too busy" is not a good answer. When I complained to the owner face to face he claimed that I owed HIM a $thousand more than the contract called for. He gave me a "take it or leave it". My referal is "stay away". Far away.

I called a few companies for estimates, but David the sales rep from City Fence was the friendliest and most helpful. He suggested I go with half vinyl/half chain link due to the size of my yard to keep costs down. Also had some other suggestions due to the extensive gardens I have in the yard. They weren't the cheapest nor the most expensive quote I received. After signing the contract, I was told it would be about 8-10 weeks (mid-fall) when they installed. They didn't get to my yard until January for the install and got 90% done within a week. Then- despite several phone calls to City Fence asking them to complete the job- they didn't return until April to put up the last few panels. And they only came out at that point because I refused to pay the final bill they kept sending me until the job was actually completed. Despite the fact that I love the fence and the installers did a great job, they're only getting 3 stars. Seems to be a real lack of communication between the sales reps and installers to let the customers know a realistic time-frame of when we can expect the fence to actually be installed. And then another breakdown between the scheduler and installers to actually get the guys to finish a job.

After the storm January 2024 with 8 foot dropping in the greater West Seneca area. A week later with the melt we discovered a few of gutters had pulled away and a couple of wind driven siding needs. I contacted Mitchell and spoke with Faith in the office on Monday Jan 29, to be told someone would get back top me in the next couple of days. Wednesday Jan 31, 4:45pm I get a phone call from Mike Buffalo Roofing, could they stop in a few minutes as they had just finished a job close to me. 10 minutes later 3 trucks, 1 trailer & 6 men arrive and correct the damage. They did not have enough gutter hangers to complete the job and said someone would be back sometime in the week to finish up. Thursday Feb 1, literally at 8 am a Buffalo roofing truck pulls into the yard. 2 men are up on the roof before I can coat up and make my way outside, finishing the extra hangers. I could not be more pleased! Great service! Terrific follow through! Not what you hear about most roofing companies! Many thanks.

They assures me that they could get to me no later than the 3rd week of June which was fine, as my first event was on Memorial Day. Monday of the 3rd week of June, I spoke with Jeff and he assured me that he would be out the following morning to complete the work. I spent the evening completely clearing everything off of my patio. A sunny Tuesday came and went and Jeff was a no show. Over the next several days, I called, emailed, and texted Jeff and the company scheduling contacts with no response from anyone. Memorial Day event came and went with my unwashed patio. 2 days after Memorial Day with more follow up texts, still no response! I finally booked another company, and notified Jeff and the Scheduling contact. Surprise, surprise...they replied within an hour. DO NOT RELY on this company. They were the lowest estimate....obviously for a reason.

I set it up and got a call the day before it was to be done to confirm we were still on schedule for the sealing. The day of sealing they came early and cleaned/pressure washed driveway and came back after letting it dry to get it all sealed up. Driveway looks great and is protected for another 3 years!

They were so clean and professional with my neighbors gutters that I asked them to do the work on my house. Like most contractors they were busy, so I did have to call several times- but he never forgot who I was, he was just apologetic since he was so insanely busy. That's the only bad thing I can say about them- they are so good, they are very booked! They do good work and clean up after themselves- which is super important. They were also very affordable. I will absolutely be using them for the next home repairs I need done. They are honest and fast, and I can't say enough good things about them.
