I had the unfortunate experience of hiring this company for lawn mowing, snowplowing and fixing up…read moremy landscaping beds. I was very disappointed in their quality of work and professionalism. In my opinion it was a very bad experience. They were supposed to trim all my bushes and trees. They forgot to trim several of them and the others were done haphazardly. They ripped out flowers that were perennials because they thought they were weeds. Many areas were missing weed barrier, even though it was in the contract. The company admitted that the job needed more mulch, but because they underbid the job and was losing money, they would not provide any more mulch. They also admitted that their workers were new and not properly trained. In my opinion they harassed us for more money because they could not estimate the job properly. The owner continously told us of a toll bill for $1800 he owed to gain our sympathy. The owner assured us that he had arborists working for him but this statement appears to be false looking at the completed project. For snowplowing, they had to be constantly called and asked when they were coming out. The company provided an expired certificate of insurance to trick me into signing a contract. They tried to tell me that a car insurance certificate would be just as good. I have a copy of the car insurance certificate the company gave me. This company has had numerous people complain about their snowplowing service, but they delete all of their negative comments and 1 star reviews off of their social media pages. This company was hired by my elderly neighbor to cut her grass. She is 90 years old and has a hard time seeing and hearing. She paid them a lot of money. They rarely show up to cut her grass. They never even provided her with a receipt for her money or a contract. Her family had to get involved to help her. They refused to bag the grass clippings after they cut my lawn even though the contract stated they would. The grass looked atrocious with all the loose grass on it. The company canceled my contract and wanted to give it to his friend. He was going to pay him a fraction of what I paid him and keep the rest for himself. The pictures submitted with this review is how this company actually left my lawn. When I explained to them that is was unacceptable they proceeded to cancel my grasscutting contract. Most businesses when they get negative reviews they get upset and do everything in their power to have the reviews removed. Instead businesses should look at the negative reviews as a learning tool to improve their business and their employees. People really do not want to put down local businesses but they most certainly do not want to be taken advantage of. We called them in June of 2022 to have them replace our patio and sidewalk from the patio to the front driveway. In both instances, they were very professional and courteous. We were home while they were doing the work and they cleaned up our yard. Yes, our lawn was trampled on due to the machinery, but that's to be expected. It'll come back. We were very impressed with them and would highly recommend them. We are located in West Seneca, NY, not San Francisco, CA.

We had our driveway expanded by Concrete Specialists at our residence. The service delivered was…read morenot professional in that the yard was left a mess along with the street in front of our house, and they splattered (and left) concrete on the existing driveway. Also, we purchased the crew pizza for lunch as a kind gesture, which they ended up sitting on their coolers and eating while drinking on the job. We did not drive on the new driveway until after 2 weeks, as directed. After approximately a month of having the new section of the driveway completed by Concrete Specialists, it cracked. It was obvious that not enough stone was put down prior to pouring the concrete because when you stepped on the section after it cracked it would lift. We contacted the company, and the owner, Randy Schmidt, said that they would correct the issue. Concrete Specialists came out to address the issue when we were not home and without our authorization, and what they did to take care of the crack left the driveway looking worse than it did with the crack. Instead of removing the section of the driveway expansion that cracked and re-pouring, they attempted to fill the crack after cutting in to the concrete to create dust to patch it with. When contacting the owner for information on what they did to address the crack in our new driveway, he was extremely rude, unprofessional and dismissive of our concerns. Not only does it now look worse than before it cracked, the section of the driveway has re-cracked after the concrete caulk was applied and Concrete Specialists has made no attempts to properly resolve, and have said that this is all "standard". The only solution that we would be satisfied with is if the section of the driveway is removed and re-poured. I do not recommend this company as a result of their extreme lack of professionalism and unwillingness to stand behind their work.

After job was done was told , need new flue ... after waiting for that estimate finally received it $2500 more after paying $2800 for the chimney ... Had that company come over beforehand look at chimney never told me it needed a flue ... Also they reused old tin cap and assembly on top and now it looks bent after reinstall ! Just can't believe $2800 for 5 hours work , what do bricks and a little mortar cost ? Grant it something I can't do , only because of my age ! Understand costs of running a business and making a profit and having a couple of 25 year old kids , I expected at least a whole new tin cap and everything new ... Should have been told about flue as when the chimney was first looked at .... All I can say do homework get a few more estimates ! Will get other quotes on a flue !

After listening and asking some questions, he made several suggestions on style and placement which were great and incorporated into the project. His estimate arrived by email the next day and was in the range we expected but lower than others Weather delayed the start of the project but when it was started this group worked quickly. Set up on day 1 and concrete work on day 2. Matt and his crew worked like a well oiled machine. During the pour and finishing Matt made several suggestions on changes that we accepted and they made our project even better. When they finished the work area was cleaned up and the trash bagged up. At the end, even though there some changes made, his project estimate was the complete charge. We've had concrete work done before and this is by far the best! He eventually arrived the next day at 11:00 a.m. The agreement was that the stump would be ground down to lawn level so I could cover it with soil and plant grass. However, he left a large portion of the stump about a foot above ground, making it impossible to seed over it as planned. I told him I would handle cleaning up the wood chips myself, since my neighbor offered to help with his tractor. But when my neighbor saw the stump, he said the job was not done properly and that it was far too high above ground to be seeded. When I called Darren to ask if he would be returning to finish the work, he became extremely aggressive and verbally abusive--calling me a "retarded bitch" and threatening to dump debris in my driveway so I couldn't leave my house. Because of these threats, I had to file a police report and install security cameras. I refused to pay for a job that was clearly incomplete and poorly done. Everyone who has seen the stump agrees it was not properly ground down to lawn level.
