I have shopped there for years and have only seen the soda machine down once. Also the supply chain is still a factor for stores not always having products on hand. I make my own soft pretzels at home. As far as self check out goes, Sam's in Grand Island still has half the check outs run my employees. You don't have to self check if you don't want to. My biggest issue with Sam's is that the people that shop there can be very rude. They stand in the aisles and won't let you through. They let their kids run rampant screaming. Kind of funny. They must be the same people that wrote the other reviews. Sam's in GI is okay. If you know what things cost, you can get a bargain.

Grand Island Ne has the worst Walmarts in the state. There are no Cashiers the customer service…read moresucks. In the stores most of employees are eaither talking amongst themselves in Spanish or messing with their cell phone. I had an employee hit my cart did not say a word glared at me said something in Spanish to a coworker laughed and walked off. The shelves are empty both stores are a mess. My husband and I go to Hastings which is a 25 mile drive ,but that store is clean well stocked and customer service is awsome. If Sam Walton could see the Grand Island stores he would shudder.

Driving across the West and our car blew a tire. Saturday afternoon and can you guess who was open…read moreso we could buy a new one? No one near us! And then others didn't have the right size tire. In desperation I called Walmart just to see if they could help. Sure enough they had the tire in stock and were working that afternoon. Whew! With donut tire in place, we worked our way there and had our new tire in less than an hour. Friendly folks and a new tire changed our outlook as we went on our way. Thanks for the great service.

I called the store to warn them of the campground location and our unit site number. Then I got a call from "delivery woman" spoken just like that...NO ENGLISH whatsoever. I didn't know if she was here, lost or needed directions. She then just hung up. I called Walmart; the manager's lame response to the situation was that it was out of Walmart's control because they used a third-party delivery service. It seems that a company like Walmart could insist on a delivery person able to receive information and communicate in English in Nebraska. The woman finally found me and she was delightful but was unable to communicate other than pantomime. She couldn't even ask for the special number code that she was supposed to receive from me. This was ridiculous. This has nothing to do with the delivery person but everything to do with Walmart not taking care of customers. Just another conglomerate taking our money and putting little businesses out of business. It's fair that I would never have had the opportunity to get a late delivery from a small business but that's not who offered the service. Let's demand more from Walmart!!!!!!!! Step up WALMART!!!!!!!
