Grand Island Ne has the worst Walmarts in the state. There are no Cashiers the customer service sucks. In the stores most of employees are eaither talking amongst themselves in Spanish or messing with their cell phone. I had an employee hit my cart did not say a word glared at me said something in Spanish to a coworker laughed and walked off. The shelves are empty both stores are a mess. My husband and I go to Hastings which is a 25 mile drive ,but that store is clean well stocked and customer service is awsome. If Sam Walton could see the Grand Island stores he would shudder. read more

Driving across the West and our car blew a tire. Saturday afternoon and can you guess who was open so we could buy a new one? No one near us! And then others didn't have the right size tire. In desperation I called Walmart just to see if they could help. Sure enough they had the tire in stock and were working that afternoon. Whew! With donut tire in place, we worked our way there and had our new tire in less than an hour. Friendly folks and a new tire changed our outlook as we went on our way. I come from Bossier, Louisiana where the population is almost the same as here in good ole' Grand Island, Nebraska. The Walmart in Bossier is probably the worst building you will ever be in; really every Walmart in Louisiana is pretty bad compared to this beautiful store. My beef with Walmart in Louisiana is the overcrowded isles the terrible workers and that there are 50 check-out lines and only 5 are open... Here in Grand Island the isles are so spaced apart that you don't relies you are in one. The floor isn't ugly tile like in Louisiana; here there is brown concrete, no tile. There is absolutely no liter, and best of all... The workers ACTUALLY WORK. So just to recap, this Walmart is so good that anyone who has ever reviewed a Walmart and given them five stars go ahead and update your review because this Walmart takes the cake. read more

Would leave zero stars if possible. This store is a disgrace. Today in Walmart land if you wanted to pay with cash you had to go stand in line at the one open staffed checkout. The self checkouts were not accepting cash. When asked what was going on the rude so called manager on duty said they had no change! On a Sunday a major retailer has no change! Last trip ever to this store. McDonald's is managed better and that in NOT a compliment. read more

Soooooo irritated. My purse got searched at Walmart.....wait for it..... as I walked IN to the store. The alarm went off as I WALKED INTO THE STORE??? She questioned me what meds I had in my purse.... made me show her, I had to explain what they were. She then took my bottle of blood pressure medication, read the label, and then took it to see if that was putting the alarm off. Then she asked if I had any antihistamines as well. How embarrassing and and humiliating. I might add that I stated my disgust, and she very rudely said "well expect it again on the way out." I will NEVER go back to that place again. read more

2 years in a row I have bought a large bag of potting soil. the first bag they put in my cart had bird poop all over it. I asked for a different one and they came back with one that was wet and dripping poop. the man wiped it off and I left. the entire contents was wet. I called and they told me that were having a terrible time with birds so they were washing the bags which in turn soaked the contents. common sense would be to cover them, I'm sure they can afford tarps. It caused a mess, extremely heavey and now i have to dry it out before use. I think they need better common sense and maybe better managers! read more

I don't live in GI, but every time I'm here I feel compelled to go check the conditions of the pet department--specifically the live fish. I'm never pleasantly surprised, unfortunately, by good conditions: the tanks are ALWAYS overstocked and almost always FULL of dead, dying, or diseased fish, and the betta cups look as though they are only cleaned a few times a week. They would rather sell you an ammonia-poisoned fish that will die in a day or two so you come back for another than sell you a healthy fish that will live for years as a family pet. This Walmart does not have your pets' best interests at heart if they cannot provide better care for the animals they sell. They should not stock fish at all if they do not have a staff of trained fishkeepers, or at least a few employees that are dedicated to that section alone. I do no business at this Walmart, and will continue not to unless this changes. read more

Don't order photos from this place. It's a complete joke, and their employees are clueless. My wife ordered some pictures online through Walmart. On the order confirmation, it says that they will email when the pictures arrive to the store and are ready for pickup. Well it had been some time, and my wife never got an email. So, she logged into her Walmart account to track the order. Turns out they were already delivered to the store. She never got an email saying so. Went to the store, and they were there. That was one instance. The last time I ordered pictures online was a couple years ago. My pictures never came, they refunded me my money and told me to order them again. I did order them again, but not from Walmart. So, a few weeks ago, I wanted to get some pictures printed. I thought I'd give Walmart another chance. I ordered them on September 21st. I got a confirmation email that stated I would receive an email when my pictures arrived to the store, and were ready to be picked up. The estimated arrival date was September 30th. Today, October 6th, rolls around. I still haven't received an email saying my pictures have arrived to the store. I went into Walmart, and asked the lady if there were pictures for me there to pick up. She couldn't find them. I told her the whole situation. She said if I haven't received an email saying that they arrived at the store, then they're not there. She said it could take a while sometimes. I wasn't in the mood to argue, so I left. I remembered my wife's situation, and her not receiving an email. So, I decided to login to my Walmart account, and track the order. Low and behold, my pictures arrived at Walmart on September 27th!! Really?? So, I called Walmart and told them about this. I spoke with a guy back in the photo department. He couldn't find them, came back on the phone, verified how my last name was spelled, and checked again. Still couldn't find them. Asked if they could be under another name. I said no. I told him that my account says the arrived there on the 27th, so they should be there somewhere. He went and checked again, came back on the phone, and said that he found them. What a disorganized company with clueless employees. That's the last time I will ever order pictures through Walmart. read more
