From the stunning facility, the friendly staff that greets you, and the entertaining waiting room, the entire experience was as good as can be expected. Let's face it, oral surgery is almost always miserable at first, but the staff at Conestoga made the good parts enjoyable and the downright un-fun ones at least tolerable. The time spent explaining options was adequate to give me the information I needed to make a decision, while not wasting any time. All bases were covered from financial to time involved as well as pain level. And the doctors and nurses were right on the money. I am the worst dental patient. But the surgeon was quick and provided an explanation each step of the way so I understood what to expect. There was another doctor in the room and she kept me at ease so the experience was relaxing when it could be. Great job to all. I unfortunately know I have future procedures to do, but I know for certain where I will be getting them done. read more

paid 600 bucks for an X-ray of jaw, doctor came in and looked at my mouth for about 5 seconds. told me it just had to heal and he wouldn't do the surgery due to possible complications and I should be out of pain in 4 to 6 months. about 4 months later I'm finally out of pain so he was rite about the time but I still think he could have done the surgery and fixed the problem sooner but who knows really, just wished he spent more than 10 seconds in the room with me read more

5 stars for Conestoga. I had a broken tooth and went to another large dental provider in my area, which I will not name here. Upon seeing my tooth I was told it needed to be removed surgically, and that I should have general anesthesia because it could require a lot of drilling and the root could break off. After finding out they mishandled my paperwork and going a week of hearing nothing about scheduling a consultation with their surgery team, a friend recommended I try Conestoga. I called Conestoga on a Wednesday, had a consultation with an oral surgeon for my tooth the next day, and the tooth was out the following Wednesday. The kicker? The oral surgeon (super guy) gave me local anesthesia and had the tooth out in 60 seconds...no broken root, no pain at all. My experience was great from the first person I spoke to on the phone, to the dental techs, to the surgeon. I recommend calling Conestoga for any major dental work. read more

We brought our daughter in for oral surgery and we were very upset about how we were treated post-surgery. Our daughter woke up from anesthesia very confused and anxious. while I was trying to comfort and re-orient her, I was handed discharge papers with gauze and immediately discharged despite the fact that my daughter was unable to stand or walk due to seizure-like spastic movements of her arms and legs. I could tell the staff was concerned because of the looks on their faces. I told the staff I was concerned about her condition, but I was ignored, and one staff member even suggested my daughter was "pretending." Since when does a 12 yr old who has never had anesthesia wake up "pretending?" I asked for a wheel-chair because they tried to get me to walk her out while she was clearly having trouble standing. Once we got her outside, she could not get into the car, then, after we arrived home, I had to carry her into the house because she still could not walk! My wife sat in the back with my daughter while I drove because we were afraid our daughter would open the door and jump out because her behavior was so bizarre and her legs and arms were having these strange movements. One male staff member suggested she was suffering from "emergence delirium." If they thought she was acutely suffering from this condition, why discharge her so soon? My wife and I are nurses, in fact, I'm an ER nurse with almost 20 yrs. experience and I have given many children conscious sedation to set broken bones and to perform other painful procedures, but we always used an "Aldrete Score" to safely discharge post-surgical patients. NEVER have I EVER discharged a patient who was in the same condition as my daughter. We didn't immediately address the situation because we were too concerned about our child-and honestly, my next destination was the nearest ER. My wife and I are not squeamish and we are not strangers to sick patients; however, every parent knows their child and we know when something isn't right! I don't like the production line type of service they give and we did not feel like they saw our child as a real human person. We definitely felt pressured to leave and we felt like we were just a name and a number in a room that needed to be turned over for the next oral surgery. I actually teach a course on customer service for healthcare professionals and I feel like this group of people need to sign up for customer service training ASAP! Long story short, our daughter turned out to be ok once the medication wore off, but she should not have been discharged in that condition. I'm only giving 1 star because the young lady who did our initial intake was nice. Don't waste your time at this widget factory-they don't treat their patients as humans...Trust me, go elsewhere, (there are a ton of oral surgeons in Lancaster). We will never go back. read more

Following a horrible experience at York endodontics, my wife made a call to Conestoga to try and get me in a.s.a.p. as I had a tooth that needed to be extracted. They got me in the very next day. Everyone from the office staff to the surgical team were very professional. I must give a huge shout out to Malaysha and Dr. Bell. Both knew I was very stressed / nervous and coming from an awful experience the day before. They went out of their way to make me feel like I was in good hands. In addition, Malaysha explained the procedure - pre and post, as well as the billing. Dr, Bell explained some of the issues that could arise from removing the tooth and how he would handle it. It was an unbelievably smooth procedure. I've had my mouth numbed literally a hundred times in the past, and some part of my face is always numb for hours afterwards. Dr. Bell numbed my mouth for the extraction with such precision, that when he returned to remove the tooth my face adjacent to the tooth was not numb, which I didn't understand. Dr. Bell extracted the tooth in less than 30 seconds! I had very little bleeding and less than 24 hours later have stopped taking any medication for pain. I understand this may not be the case every time, that every patient and every situation is different, but the combination of skill and empathy displayed to me was amazing. We recently took our 6 year old to the Lititz location for a consultation and then a tooth extraction a few weeks later. The entire staff made a point to make my son comfortable, talk with him about his interests and minimize any fears he had. The procedure went smoothly and he had no pain afterward. It was a great experience for my son and helped him develop a positive (or at least non-negative) view on dental procedures. read more

My experience with Conestoga Oral Surgery is unprofessional, unacceptable and negligent! My daughter was scheduled for surgery on Saturday 9/11. She received a text message this morning, 9/9 advising her that as of 9/1 they dropped her insurance. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! The only option given to us was to pay out-of-pocket in upwards of $2,000 on the day of surgery! COS knew they were dropping her insurance, but they failed to notify her in advance! Documentation shows no attempts to call and/or text her prior to this morning. I was told all other patients were contacted at a much earlier date and efforts were made for them to be seen by the end of August BEFORE the insurance dropped. My daughter was "missed" in the process! Clearly this was COS's error.. no patient discount was offered to us, nor the option of a payment plan, etc... just worthless apologies from office staff and the office supervisor. My daughter attends college and paid for Amtrak tickets to and from home this weekend for the surgery. I am beyond disgusted! I have never experienced a patient disrespect such as this, and hope to never again! Shameful!! read more

I was put into the schedule for an emergency crowned tooth that had been root canaled previously. The dental assistant spoke to me with her back towards me the entire time. I asked for laughing gas and she said "you won't need it". DDS came in used oral swab to numb prior to the novacaine. He actually just stuck it in my mouth and left it there. He gave me 3 shots of novacaine and by the 3rd one I was in tears. The removal went well. Gauze was stuck in my mouth and then they sent me on my way. Never checked the gauze. I left office, got 1/4 of the way home and had used all the gauze they gave me and was spitting mouthfuls of blood out. Drove back to the office, they put some kind of packing on it let me in the chair a few minutes, charged me an extra $100 and then DDS said, "you must be bleeding so much from the Hepatitis you have", which I have been cured from for several years. I work in healthcare and this was the worst service I have ever received! I called the office the next day to inform them and one of the office managers said she was sorry, but they did not even reimburse me for the extra $100 they charged, even though it was their fault! Will never give them business again or refer anyone there!!! read more

I would recommend the Rothsville office to anyone. I have a busy work schedule and the office bent over backwards to fit me in when I developed an acute problem. Doctor Seldomridge and his staff were friendly, efficient and had my procedure done within 5 minutes. In fact I was back at work within one hour of the procedure There was minimal pain involved, requiring no more than 3 or 4 Tylenol within the 1st 24 hours and nothing thereafter. Overall very efficient and effective treatment of my problem and as a referral source I will be sending people to this office without reservation! read more

The staff were less than friendly, from the front desk to the doctor and his assistant, to check out. The atmosphere is assembly-line, not the least bit soothing when you're about to undergo a painful procedure. My appointment lasted less than 15 minutes. I was told to sit in the chair, open my mouth, given several painful shots and then left alone. Five minutes later, the doctor returned and after a lot of terrifying yanking, I was told goodbye. The doctor who pulled my tooth didn't even introduce himself. No one called me the next day to ask how I was doing. Worst of all, a large bone fragment was left behind in my gum, which wasn't discovered until three weeks later when I went to my regular dentist. The bone fragment will need to be surgically removed, which sets the healing process back to zero. I cannot recommend this facility (the Good Drive location) to anyone. When I called to ask about a partial refund, they completely blew me off. Having one tooth pulled cost me nearly $450, and a lot of anxiety and suffering. Find another place. went there for tooth pulled and implant, was a very bad and painful experience, was told in dentist chair that they wanted money first before they pulled my tooth, I told them that I was good for the money but they refused to do anything till they got the money up front, so I called my brother and he gave them his credit card info, after a very long time they pulled my tooth, the shot they gave me to numb my jaw was very painful and the way they removed my tooth was very painful, they are not very good there and they do seem to care !!! i wish I should have checked out this place before I went there. Worst experience of my life. I had 4 teeth pulled, and 11 shots of novocaine that did nothing. I didnt get put under or anything, and when asked "can you feel that?" I said "yes" and the doctor did not seem to care as he just ripped out the tooth, roots and all, while I could feel everything. Dr Iverson has a poor attitude with patients. I had a growth on roof of mouth that formed after a tooth extraction at another dental office. After that I ended up with this growth. This has been since Feb. Was referred to him. Had a CT scan and after that he ordered another root canal beside tooth previously extracted. This 2nd root canal done on June 19. Then his office scheduled me an appt 2 months after 2nd root canal. When I went for appt he looked at it and said I had to wait at least 3mos after 2nd root canal before he could do anything. Specialist said 2nd root canal probably unnecessary. So Iverson says to me that I need to go somewhere else because I list confidence in them . Well thank you for saying that for me Dr. They didn't even know if they had my CT scan on file. So why did they waste my time coming in there after 2months. They scheduled the appt. In the 3tines I was there since Feb Dr Iverson had a very poor attitude. Maybe that's why this practice is only rated 2 stars. read more

Our child had a unique and complicated health history as well as unusual wisdom tooth situation and all issues and concerns were addressed and handled with the utmost of respect and care. Dr. Heise and staff were wonderful at supporting us through surgery, from the initial consultation to post op follow up, with minimal stress. This is my second experience with Conestoga Oral Surgery and I was fortunate both times to have Dr. Heise. It is not a overstatement to say that I am a VERY nervous dental patient and when I began to need extensive dental work in my early 30's I required IV sedation. I've made gradual progress but last week I had to have a tooth extracted that required Novocaine injections to the roof of my mouth. No pre-appointment medication and no nitrous and Dr. Heise got me through it. Dr. Heise calmly talked me through the numbing portion of the procedure. He also took the time to listen to my concern that I did not think the diagnosis of the referring dentist was correct. They waited a while trying to get the xrays from my dentist and eventually just did another xray and did not charge me for it. He spent a lot of time with me, way more than I am sure was allotted for my appointment, and was able to accurately determine the source of my pain. I've returned twice since the extraction, the site of which is inflamed and very slow healing. I have not been charged for the follow up visits. Everyone from the front office staff to the nurses treated me with kindness and empathy. I wish Dr. Heise did general dentistry, if he did I would never go anywhere else! read more

The entire right side of my face has swelled up to an extremely EXTREMELY hard and painful tennis ball, due to the fact that I wasn't given any antibiotics or aftercare instructions after having all of my wisdom teeth taken out, only pain killers (which aren't working at this point due to the extreme pain.) I had to go to the ER at 3 this morning because after being inside not being able to do anything or eat for almost 5 days, I realized this pain wasn't normal. I was finally given antibiotics and stronger pain killers, and the ER Doctor said he doesn't understand why I wasn't given any of this at the time of the surgery, and believes it to be infected due to pain and swelling that's constantly spreading. Go somewhere else for your child's wisdom teeth removal. **UPDATE I had to be put under last night in the ER to have surgery done to drain the infected abcess. I was also not given a syringe to clean out the sockets with at the time of my surgery, along with not receiving antibiotics. To Dr. Eckhart who ruined two weeks of my life, I hope you have a prosperous rest of your career. And to conestoga oral surgery, who caused infections in my uncle's wisdom teeth, and multiple of my friend's now that I've shared these pictures on my page, thanks a whole bunch. But I'm genuinely and sincerely thanking Dr. Heise for seeing me on the holiday and performing the surgery. You've been so much help. read more

I had an appointment that they canceled because of what governor wolf said today about nonessential business closing. The secretary allison called to tell me that because of this, they were closing because they do NOT have the proper equipment to keep their staff safe. I was going into get a tooth extracted that is cracked underneath by the roots with an infection. Allison also told me that if it is bothering me that badly I should go to the ER. I don't think the ER is the proper facility to go get my tooth extracted. Luckily for me got another referral from my dentist to another oral surgeon who is actually open and has the proper tools to keep their staff safe. I wouldn't go here if this is how they treat new patients. Their loss. read more

terrible! They do not care about their patients at all. If you call and ask about recent surgery that was done, they and I quote said ," deal with it". My boyfriend had 6 teeth (4 wisdom ) pulled , and is in awful pain and they just don't care. He's bleeding too( a pretty decent amount) and the nurse said " ok, what do you want me to do". I told them I already soaked a teabags and used it to slow bleeding along with applying pressure, nothing worked. So she said " well I don't know what to tell you" excuse me? YOU ARE THE NURSE! My sink is full of blood. They also blew his vein , and STILL tried to use it as an IV site. He told them that the saline was burning his entire arm and the doctor (Eckhardt) still tried to push more saline. My boyfriend then said take it out . They tried another site and he finally got it. Im at a loss for words. I had my wisdom teeth done at another oral surgery place in Lancaster and I wasn't bleeding nor in any pain.
