I have been a part of Martial Arts America for about 13 years. This organization is run very well by Master Grant Tabuchi. Being a part of this organization has taught me so much Tae-Kwon-Do; at this school, they teach three branches of arts consisting of jujitsu, eskrima, and tae-kwon-do. In addition to this, they teach self-defense in their Krav Maga classes. I have also been lucky enough to participate in the CIT program which has taught me life skills such as patience, communication, and critical thinking. The CIT program is an amazing learning experience and forces you to step out of your comfort zone. More importantly, this organization has built some of the most important life skills that I possess. Some of the many things that I have learned here are discipline, perseverance, and self-control. Without Martial Arts America I would be a completely different person because all of it has such a profound impact on shaping my character. I started Tae Kwon Do here at the age of 4 1/2. Throughout the past 13 years I have obtained my third degree black belt and an instructor ranking. I have seen myself flourish under this program, learning self-motivation, self-discipline, self control, perseverance, and many other life-long lessons. This program is designed to always provide the children with positive reinforcement so they will always believe that they can. This is the number one strength of the program; no child will leave feeling inadequate. Whether the child has poor self-esteem, listening skills, or body control, this program is catered to every child's needs. I have trained with Grant Tabuchi and Martial Arts American - Karate for Kids for a very long time. I currently live in Idaho, but still train with him whenever I can. Almost 20 years ago I enrolled my grade school aged son in his school. After observing the program for a while, I joined it myself. The program is well rounded and is not narrowly focused. Over the years I witnessed other arts being added to the program that complemented what was already being taught and gave the dedicated student an important advantage in their martial skills. Mr. Tabuchi is a caring and patient teacher, and a skilled martial artist. A student taking full advantage of the program will have a great breadth and depth in martial arts. The serious student will go a long way in learning martial skills and leadership skills that will benefit them for life. I'm taking Krav Maga private classes with Coach T, and I can hands down say this is the best martial arts class I have ever taken. His martial arts background is stellar - he trains security personnel and is a black belt in multiple martial arts. More importantly though, he is an incredibly good teacher, and a man of integrity who cares and wants the best for his students. I really value that in a coach, and I'm incredibly happy that I reached out to him to set up a private class. He was open and willing to work with me to create a private lesson that targets my goals of packing as much technique as possible into each class. I told him I wasn't looking for a typical "fitness" martial arts class, and he has been incredibly helpful in guiding me toward my goals of learning self defense. Hands down, 10/10 would recommend! I started training at Martial Arts America when I was 5 years old. Now, 12 years later, I am a fourth recommended black belt, about to take the skills I've learned with me as leave for college after this year. Having grown up training at Martial Arts America, important mental skills such as perseverance, diligence, and integrity has been instilled in me through instruction and encouragement by Master T and Master Fong, allowing me to tackle school and any other challenges with great mental fortitude. In addition to these mental skills, I've also grown a lot physically, being able to pass black belt testings and place in tournaments. I have two children who attended Martial Arts America...Both are now first degree Black Belts...Started attending when they were in the 5th and 7th grades ...They loved it there ...Mr T , Mr. Brian , and the rest of the staff is always helpful and willing to answer and questions and address any issues ...Classes are super flexible ...They have many different classes that they offer ,depending on the rank, and those classes are scheduled on different days and at different times during the week... Finding a class that fit our busy schedule was never a problem ...Loved that my kids were able to learn self defense, get some extra physical activity, and more self confidence... This has got to be one of the best places to learn Martial Arts! When I first joined I had been hopping through many different sports to find what fitted me. I was shy and didn't have much confidence. This place welcomed me with open arms and even though I haven't been here very long, the coaches made it very comforting. I not only learned many physical skills and gained lots of exercise, I also learned life skills. It changed my mindset and the way I act completely for the better. My son has been training at Martial Arts America for well over 2 years and has flourished in his time there. We wanted to sign him up for a sport that was going to challenge him physically (get sweaty and get a good workout) but we got so much more as he really enjoys learning all the different skills and becoming more confident about what he can do, he hates to miss a class. I have been training at Martial Arts America since the age of 5; my parents put me into one of the summer camps to see if I liked it. The fact that I have been practicing Taekwondo for the past 12 years shows that I indeed love the martial art. My son has achieved his Taekwondo black belt here at Martial Arts America. Our family has had some experience with martial arts with a few different schools over the years, but the level of visible growth has been greatest here over a short time. This place is really wonderful for the martial arts. The instructors are very helpful and always keeps the kids entertained. My son is going there from last 6-7 months and love going there all the time. They deserve 5 stars but I am taking off 1 star because of two reasons. One is the parents sitting area is too small and most of the time its crowded and full so parents have to either stand or wait outside if they get there little late. The 2nd really important item that you guys should consider is to improve your test taking exercise. Each test session should be split into smaller groups. Rest is all great. Keep it up! read more

My 10-year-old daughter has been training in Martial Arts America in Fremont, CA for 4 years. She always looks forward to attaining her next belt ranking. My daughter has been training here for two years, and I started almost a year ago. It is the most fun workout I have ever participate in. I enjoy the positive atmosphere that the instructors keep. Mr. Fong is terrific will the kids. He is always coming up with funny things for them to do. He keeps them learning and having fun. Mr. Jensen is very consistent and handles the variety of levels in the adult class with no problems. He takes time to help me improve and troubleshoot my technique. I started Krav Maga back in 2004 took a long time off. Started my son in Martial Arts in 2016 and I'm back into Krav. I knew when my son wanted to take Martial Arts I didn't have to think hard of where to go. I knew the instructors and how well they taught kids to adults. This was the place to go.
