I visited this hospital twice while my friend was recovering from surgery. It happened to be during…read morethe World Cup, so there were some fun football-themed decorations throughout the facility. The check in process was straightforward. Visitors sign in at the front desk, receive a visitor sticker, and then take the elevator to the appropriate floor. The facility appeared clean and well maintained. Like most hospitals, there was a constant beeping of medical equipment, which is to be expected. My friend's room was comfortable, with a private bathroom, and her assigned nurse checked on her regularly. I also appreciated the whiteboard in the room listing the nurse, doctor, and other important information. One thing I wish they had was a water fountain or water bottle filling station on each floor for visitors. It would also be helpful if patient rooms had a small refrigerator for storing leftovers or cold drinks. The biggest disappointment was how my friend's food allergy was handled. She has a documented allergy to green beans, and it was clearly noted in her medical chart and communicated to the nursing staff. Despite this, the kitchen repeatedly served her green beans during her week-long stay. That was both concerning and frustrating. Since she was recovering from surgery and had limited mobility, I had to notify the nurse each time so the meal could be replaced. While the staff corrected the mistake, it should not have happened repeatedly. Food allergies should be taken seriously in a hospital setting, and I hope they improve communication between the kitchen and the medical staff to prevent this from happening to future patients. Overall, the facility and staff were good, but better attention to dietary restrictions would make a significant difference.

She makes therapy fun for my 3 year old and gets her to cooperate and perform the exercises, which is no easy feat. We picked Karen over other local speech therapists because she has experience with myofunctional therapy. Our daughter looks forward to her appointments with Ms. Karen. She has fun games and activities that she mixes up to keep things entertaining. The location is convenient, parking is plentiful, and Karen is careful to take the necessary Covid prevention precautions. It is a solo practice, which is great because there's no lobby or waiting room with other people coming and going.

Before coming to Encompass I was in Sugar Methodist for 7 days I was intensive care for 5 for days and 4 days I was in coma! The nursing staff is good. Some better than others! The food to me was not good. I lost 20 pounds with my stay! Today I am on iron because I am still anemic. I need another surgery however the anemic prevents that! We've done an initial visit as well as a follow-up visit. Nancy's expertise with feeding problems was very apparent to me. She examined my daughter during breastfeeding as well as while sucking and resting. Nancy was very professional but also very sweet with my baby. She was extremely informative and thorough. Less than a week after our visit, just by following Nancy's instructions for treatment, my daughter doubled the amount of milk she was able to take from the breast! I am very thankful for Nancy's help, and I highly recommend her as a feeding therapist.
