I'm thrilled to say that after 1 1/2 years of studying under Rabbi Shalom Bochner I had my Beit Din and Mikveh on January 4, 2018! Since then I have become a member at the Congregation and have attended Shabbat Services and many activities that the Congregation have such as Cafe Shalom, Shabbat Dinners, Art Group, Sunday Afternoons at CBS, Passover Services and Seder, Chanukah, Simchat Torah, Sukkot Celebrations, High Holidays, Purim, and much more! Now that I am a Jew, my studies doesn't stop here. I continue to attend Adult Education on Sundays followed by Adult Hebrew. What is great about Adult Education on Sundays is that we are there along with the children who are attending Beit Sefer ( Hebrew School)! Her comforting phone calls to me were immeasurably helpful. There are no bounds to her spirit, kindness, compassion and empathy. Some people have a special ability to immediately connect to others. Rabbi Daniel Pressman is extremely kind. Growing up in an interfaith family, I found it a bit of a challenge attending service here because the holy books are mostly in Hebrew and I was used the the holy books in the reform temples/synagogues that had the English translations. I've had the pleasure of attending Shabbat Services and dinners at Congregation Beth David. If you're of the Conservative Jewish faith this is a great place to attend services.

In particular, the religious school, pre-K and family ed programs have all improved so much over the last decade that I now feel comfortable giving them a strong endorsement to friends who ask. Another thing that I really like about Beth David is that the Rabbis, the Board and (most of) the congregation make a real effort to try to live their values. This is a place where being a good person counts more than how much money you make or how you dress. These are people that I feel I can turn to in a crisis (or simcha) and get genuine support.

The people at this temple, especially the leadership, work hard to include everybody in a warm and caring atmosphere. Somebody always says hi. There's always a smile. We belong. Our children belong. It's a great feeling that doesn't happen at all congregations. The educational program is top notch. The facilities are pleasant and clean. The children are above average.
