My husband was looking to get me a rose bouquet for Valentine's Day, and he went to several places, and they were out of the red roses. He looked for florist nearby, contacted connell, and lucky enough, they still had the red roses available. So, he got the bouquet in a beautiful clear vase from here. The vase was neatly secured and had the two heart balloons attached to it. There was no spill in the way home. I forgot to take the picture before unpacking the vase. I loved the flower arrangement, and they stayed fresh for at least a week. I am really impressed with their service and will definitely get flowers for the next occasion. read more

Day before Valentine's Day, needed to grab something, and this was handy. Tight parking lot, with a drive-through but that looked closed. Friendly staff, no wait. Loads of options. Decor inside, and gifts, and a cold room up front with plenty of pre-made options. One worked for me, and the price was pretty good considering they could have marked things up a lot for the holiday. Quarantine/COVID-19 review I needed flowers and Connells came through for me both on the web and over the phone. I looked up the website first to see what was available and for pricing. The website was simple to use and easy to navigate. Once I decided which flowers I wanted I looked up the phone number which was also easy to find on the website. I called and the person that answered was friendly and polite. Since the store was not open due to the quarantine I asked how long an order takes and how one picks up their order. I was told that an order could be completed within the hour and that pickup was easy. I was told that when I arrive to call and let them know and then somebody would bring the order out and place it on the table. They went out of their way to help me with my questions and went over everything to make sure the order was correct. I showed up in about an hour, called and somebody came right out with my order and laid it on the table. After they walked away I was able to safely pick up my order. The flowers were super fresh and arranged very nicely. The flowers were so fresh that they lasted a little more than two weeks. We were very impressed with the quality and price of the flowers. I will definitely recommend this place to others and come back with any future orders. read more

I walked into Maple Lee and showed them what I was looking for and they were able to produce a bouquet and boutonnière for the next day! They were very friendly and knowledgeable. I have gone to Maple Lee Flowers for many years and was always very satisfied. This time, not so much! When you call a florist for a specific order, that is what you WOULD like to get. If there is a problem, call back the purchaser and ask questions. Why do florists do their own thing and wonder why the customer is unhappy when the order is delivered. "I'm by myself and I'm so busy", "oh, yes, I do remember", "I'm sorry, I misunderstood". As someone who works with customers on a daily basis, this is not what we want to hear. She did offer to pick up the flowers and correct the order. Well, wouldn't that look a little strange and possibly be uncomfortable to the receiver? She may have been happy with the gift, but I knew it wasn't what I ordered. A partial credit to my account could have at least been offered. While the flowers look nice, I could have made this arrangement myself. That was why there were specific flower and vase requests. Will never use them again. The Grove City Ohio store is broken. My 80 year old mother did not receive her Valentines day flowers until 4 days later. Management of the store did not seem to care and stated she was not home for delivery which was a total falsehood. Regardless, use this company with caution. read more

Have had many great experiences in the past with Maple Lee. Most recently, I had to order a casket spray for my Aunt's funeral. They worked with my preferences and budget to achieve a beautiful display that lasted a long time. It was also, of course, delivered correctly and on time as well. read more

I had a difficult time finding a florist who was able to give me exactly what I wanted for my wedding. I went to one florist who told me I simply could not have blue flowers because they don't exist. I knew it was a perfect fit when I met with Melanie from Connells' Maple Lee. Melanie spent hours with me putting together centerpieces and bouquets so that I could see my vision come to life. Throughout the process the communication was outstanding. On my wedding day, I was left speechless when I saw the bouquets and centerpieces. My expectations were completely exceeded and I was able to have the flowers of my dreams for my wedding day. Connell's was much more affordable than other vendors in the area and the quality can not be beat. I would 100% recommend them!! read more

They left a delivery notice on the handle of our garage door which went unnoticed. Who puts a delivery notice there verses the front door? My wife called about the order and she was told that they couldn't find the order. She replied, "Do you think I am making it up." She was told by the manager that they would research the order and call her back. About 10 minutes later, they called back and said they have no record of the order. Really? Well, then that is why you are getting this review. Very poor business practices Connells! read more

I can't speak to the flowers but their customer service is awful. My mom tried calling to speak to Melanie multiple times and she didn't even bother to speak with her or even call her back when another associate said she couldn't come to the phone. I decided to just stop in and she was not there, so I came the next day. I called to make sure she was there and when I called they asked "who's asking" like I wouldn't be able to speak to her unless I said a certain name. When I came in again today she said she couldn't meet with me about wedding flowers. Not worth my time. read more

I usually do not post bad reviews but after multiple bad deliveries from this place I feel compelled. I ordered two arrangements through ProFlowers website to be delivered before Thanksgiving and Christmas. They were nothing really fancy so what could go wrong, as it was greenery, silk leaves and a candle for each. The Thanksgiving arrangement arrived in pieces, the delivery guy stating "if anything falls out just stick it back in". It looked as if the arranger used bits and pieces from the bottom of the greenery box. They were dry, short (2" in some cases) bits of branches that didn't even conceal the green plastic container they were in. Not at all what was pictured on the ProFlowers website. 2 other floral arrangements arrived from this same place sent from other family members and their flowers (mums and roses) looked old, fully opened and starting to rot at the stem. Mums are usually hardy and last longer but these died within 2 days. The later Christmas arrangement arrived and I had hoped for the best. Again, short branches with holly stems that lost the leaves immediately, dry evergreen that broke off. This is really embarrassing to send this kind of arrangement to anyone. I've spoken to ProFlowers and they have refunded me thank goodness but I will go out of my way to avoid Connells Maple Lee Flowers in the future. read more
