I will say why I am giving a bad review. I have held back for five years but don't want anyone…read moregoing through all this unnecessarily. My husband was seen by our primary for a sore on his tongue, She wanted him seen immediately (same day) by Dr Xxx an ENT Specialist. He saw Dr. Xxx and Dr said he wasn't really worried about the spot. He only had my husband get a biopsy at my insistence. Results came back and we were told that he wasn't too concerned about it still. That it was'within the margins ' and it was good. That he would see him back in office in a couple weeks. I asked if he was sure about not doing anything. Doc said no he wasn't worried. So next appt , he had to miss forrr Cwork. But got in quickly and dr saw it and it wasn't better but bigger so he gave us a name of a specialist at Barnes Jewish. They did what they could but in few months he passed away from oral cancer that had spread to his lungs and back . But not after having to go through the hell of chemo, radiation, a clinical trial drug therapy , teeth pulled, and a scheduled 4hr surgery that turned into a 15 hour surgery because the few lymph nodes seen prior to surgery had multiplied already all over his mouth, cheek and tongue. These drs did their best. I can not say the same of the ent he was seen by when it started. If he'd of been even a little more aggressive my husband could still be here. Now I lost my husband of 20 years, our 3 children lost a dad and so on. I do not recommend.

My letter to Dr. Laduzinsky:…read more I'm writing to thank you and the staff of the Cancer Treatment Center for the exceptional care you provided me during my 33 radiation treatments. I came to your facility after already having had experienced six months' worth of diagnosis, surgery and chemotherapy. I was somewhat of a "weary traveler" and very much afraid of the next "unknown" on my journey. As you may recall, when I came in for my simulation appointment I was very emotional. I want you to know how thankful I will ALWAYS be to you and Kami for simply meeting me where I was that day. The two of you worked together to make sure I was comfortable and provided great reassurance to me and I'll never forget it. It took me a few days to feel comfortable with the radiation process, and to really understand how it worked. After initially being encouraged to "trust the doctor" - I met Staci who took time to pull up my plan and explain it to me in laymen's terms. She answered all of my questions and enabled me to move forward through my treatments feeling confident and calm. I think it was my third day there when I was introduced to Laura! I couldn't believe a nutritionist was available - let alone that she was seeking me out to offer assistance. I've asked about nutrition since my journey started and have been told to just maintain a healthy weight - I knew there was more to it than that. The information Laura provided and her enthusiasm for what food can do in the fight against recurrence has been very empowering and encouraging. Do you know how much of a difference Rachel makes in people's lives simply by being who she is? I can't tell you how many reception desks I've visited during my various appointments these last several months. So many people in her role just go through the motions and are very cold - not realizing that they are one of the most important people in the facility from the patient's perspective. Rachel wasn't there on my first few days - I won't soon forget the first day I met her. She simply said "Good Morning, Jenn" - and that made all the difference! A simple greeting, a smile and a cheerful disposition goes a very, very long way. You should also know how much I appreciate the extra time you've spent with me over the last several weeks. I couldn't have found a better doctor than you. While I'm sorry that you've "been there, done that" when it comes to breast cancer - I am truly grateful for your willingness to share your journey with me. I consider you, Staci, Kami, Rachel and Laura to be true superheroes - "Wonder Women" in fact! As far as I'm concerned, the Cancer Treatment Center gets it right! Great medical care provided by great people - never forget that the smallest things can make the biggest difference in a person's life when they're facing something like cancer. You've all made a difference in mine. p.s. I was also very apprehensive to seek care on the Illinois-side of the river. After my experience I'll tell anyone who asks that your facility is the place to go for radiation therapy. I'm confident that I received the absolutely best possible treatment delivered by the most knowledgeable, caring and wonderful staff.
