Probably the worst gas station convenience store staff members I have ever encountered. The two I encountered both reeked of pot. Guy behind the counter completely ignored anyone standing in line. Didn't say a word when I finally walked over; he just rang things up and stood there. When I asked for a receipt, he looked at me like I was a jerk for even daring to ask for something so beneath him, then turned away and just stood there. It's nice that the airport has a gas station and food options at the cell lot, but this place was just awful. read more

Pros: Convenience. This is at the periphery of the airport, right at the end of the road featuring all of the rental car places. It is also the only gas option for literally miles around. Depending on where you are coming from and your familiarity with Denver, you can gas up elsewhere. But for sheer convenience, it is hard to beat this place. They also have a fast-food court if you want a quick coffee or snack before returning your rental car. Cons: The parking lot is sub-divided to route you into the fast-food court, so accessing the pumps from some entrances is a pain. Prices for gas may be a bit high, but are certainly a bargain compared to letting the rental places gas it up for you. The fast food place was super-busy, and they have limited selection of things like Dunkin Donuts. I'd fill up here again if I were returning a rental car to this airport. read more

This is the gas station/convenience store that you always hit upon your return to Denver International Airport on your way to drop off your rental car. You can quickly gas up and then drive down the street to drop off your rental car. I've been here twice in the last couple of months... You'll need to be careful in this parking lot, this is the busiest filling station I have ever been to, so watch out and make sure no one runs into you and vice versa! read more

Awesome spot. This is probably the most confidently located gas station for a rental car returns I've ever seen --it's immediately before rental returns. Nice job Denver! My previous review for Conoco gas station is being updated as this time I went inside the store and was astonished and amazed at all the service and food options available inside. There's simply tons of snacks and drinks. There's even a hot food area! A special mention to the bathrooms, which were very nice and clean and (yay!) they used nice comfy toilet paper too! Chill people working the constant stream of customers... Good place to wait at if you're picking someone from DIA . Found myself here burning time cuz the fiancées flight from LAX was rerouted due to weather. Staff here was friendly not giving me any issues of hanging out. I actually got to talking with one of the employees and we had a real nice conversation. It sure beat waiting in the car by myself which I saw loads of other people doing. This place sucks now!! Whatever happened to the good workers who used to be employed here? I had called in once and this girl answered the phone and I had a question about some specific pills for allergies and she was "I'm very busy, can't assist you, you'll just have to come in on your own time." See, in my job, if I said that to a customer, hell will break all loose! In fact, they switch workers like crazy. Good people... Outside of work. But on the clock, they cuss, yell and play around saying derogatory comments about random shit and in front of customers! Horrible customer service and a bunch of immature workers. ***This gas station is right next to the rental return at Denver International Airport so it gets unbelievably busy; to save time, you are much better off getting gas a few exits before the airport; this gas station does feature a large convenience store with lots of snacks, candy and drinks (unfortunately, their Wrigley's Doublemint gum was quite stale and hard--kind of like the gum they used to include with packs of baseball cards); the staff was very nice*** This gas station has several free parking spaces available if you just want to to pick up a snack or drink at the convenience store. read more

Stopped here to fill up our rental Prius before getting to the airport. Pay at the pump was down, so I had to go in and stand in line. Their machines inside were not working correctly, so the clerk had to "hold" my credit card while I went back outside to pump. I had to then go back inside for him to charge my card. Weird. Because the airport is so far away from Denver proper, everyone needs to get gas before turning in their cars to avoid the Super Power Violation that they'll throw down if you're a sliver below the F on the gauge. When you've got a major city airport 19 miles away from the city -- you're pretty much monopolized as to where you need to refuel your rental car. And this station is pretty much all that there is. The gas is pretty expensive, and the gas pump asks like five questions before you get pumping: car wash, membership number, etc. inside the bathrooms have been hit or miss as far as cleanliness and the service as well. I would recommend going to a different station unless you are desperately out of gas. read more

This gas station clearly has a monopoly on both the rental car and airport visitors. It's the closest gas station to the airport for miles. In fact it's the closest gas station for a couple of miles until the 85 on the way back up the 470. However, last time I went to get gas I had a little more than a quarter tank and opted to just drive on. The line of cars waiting to get gas was about 50 cars of everyone trying to fill up their rental cars. Yeesh. read more

Of the three stations we ended up using, one operated VERY slowly, one got stuck and kept filling even though we didn't want it o, and one didn't work entirely. Not to mention, pricey. Highway Robbery! I was in Boulder last week for a day. I rented a car at the airport after arriving late. In the morning, I noticed that gas prices in Boulder were in the low to mid $3.80s. I figured that the airport Conoco would be ten cents higher. IT WAS $4.29!! This is robbery. I hope that the city, county, state or some school system is taking a lot of tax revenue from that place. There is no gas station that should be allowed to make 40 cents a gallon in profit. As the other reviewers mentioned, this is a really busy gas station. Be warned! Watch your wallet! This Conoco is the slowest gas station that I've ever been to. They lucked out with traffic because they're the only gas station near the Denver airport. It took us almost 15 minutes to fill up 7 gallons of gas, and it wasn't just our pump station but everyone else's pump stations that was just as slow. read more

When you read reviews on this Gas & Convenience store, consider that that this is the ONLY gas station in many miles and directly adjacent to the Denver International Airport. Plus it's wedged by the surrounding development's access points. Summary: Tiny footprint and poor access overlaid with MASSIVE volume of non-local (confused) visitors. I've used it since it opened with a couple pumps decades ago. They've repeatedly expanded and struggle to keep it clean (volume again). When you arrive (and you have to if you're filling up a rental return) - 1) slow down; 2) eyes open; 3) put cell phone away; 4) Do not plan to just drive up to a pump (so plan on double the "normal" time at a busy gas station). BTW, I can't explain it but the gas prices are pretty fair given the location and that this is the only station for miles. read more
