I had some awful service before but this company takes the cake. The city did not pick up my recyclables on 6/30/26. I called them the following day to find out why. 8 calls and 1.5 months later and they still can't tell me why. They never called the city to find out why. I asked for a credit since they were unable to follow through with my service issue, and, well, they said to ask the leasing company. Warning, never do business with them, they are incapable of resolving the simplest issue like making a phone call and making an inquiry. Oh and don't ask for a supervisor, they say there is not one on site. Not sure how that is possible. read more

These guys are incredibly frustrating. I have had an issue with my water meter I've been trying to resolve for 4 months now and gotten nowhere. They have overcharged me with no explanation and have indicated they would charge late fees if I withheld payment on clearly erroneous water bills of 1000% higher than six years of historical averages. read more

When I brought it to their attention and sent my copies for gas and electric i never heard back from them as they said they would advise me about a refund. Conservice engages in predatory business practices. It comes as no surprise they have an abysmally low score on all review platforms. As a third party company managing utilities for large apartment complexes, Conservice takes advantage of tenants as they know tenants have no other choice but to agree to pay Conservice fees whether those be legitimate or ILLEGITIMATE and ambiguous fees. This review comes after several calls (10) and communication with Conservice's "customer service" regarding "vacancy gas charges." And the matter still has not been resolved over 2 months later. On April 8, 2023 we moved into our unit at Palazzo East Apartments and immediately set up an account with So Cal Gas. Unfortunately, there was an error in the address, but we still had paid for gas for the billing cycle 4/8-4/20. We corrected the error with So Cal Gas and finally, after several calls to very unhelpful Conservice agents, we got in contact with Sara who said, "this can easily be cleared up with a 3-way call to So Cal gas." Thank you, Sara! We initiated a 3-way call. So Cal Gas confirmed, despite the initial incorrect address, that we had cleared this up and we have paid (and are still paying) for gas at the CORRECT address since 4/8. Sara clarified to be sure "since April 8 at [correct address]. " So Cal Gas confirmed. Sara confirmed the charges would be reversed and the matter was settled However, a month later, we received another bill from Conservice with "Vacant Gas" charges. We tried calling again and the agent, Nikisha, was absolutely horrible. She was insistent we aren't paying the correct amount with So Cal Gas so I asked her if we could initiate a 3 way call. She said we don't do that at this stage. I asked her for an itemization of the gas bill Nikisha claims Conservice received from So Cal Gas (just as So Cal Gas gives us). That way we can see if there is a discrepancy. She couldn't provide one. She then decided to initiate the 3 way call with So Cal Gas, but she disconnected before a So Cal Gas representative came to the line and I never received a call back. A week later, I called again, spoke with another representative, provided full copies ALL So Cal Gas bills dating back to April 8th with the correct address, yet we still are receiving "vacant gas" charges from Conservice. Meaning, we are paying both So Cal Gas and Conservice for gas. The hours I've spent with Conservice trying to correct this matter is far more than anyone should have to spend - so much time and frustration that I suspect Conservice banks on the consumer giving up. After doing a little digging, I found Conservice has at least 2 class action lawsuits against the company (1 settled and 1 ongoing). Consider checking into the class action lawsuit cases to see if your situation applies. I have no doubt there will be future cases against them. read more

Shared utilities are fortunately on their way out, but as long as states don't require landlords and cities to individually meter dwellings, these billing aggregators will continue to skim money from residents. Special warning to Anaheim renters: Landlords will sell you on the relatively low rates and stability of the city's grid compared to SoCal Edison, BUT what they don't mention is if your property is on a shared utility meter, it will more than make up for the lower electric rates. In some places you'll pay: city electric, sewer and trash, water, county sewer and street sweeping. On top of that, you'll be hit with a variety of fees for the privilege of receiving a bill that will obfuscate these charges, making it impossible to know whether increases are due to useage or Lanlord maintenance neglect. Conservice is a scam. Opportunistic corporatio that's just trying to capitalize on its own mistakes. I moved into a new apartment and set up electricity services, then two months later I found out that they switched the utilities back in their name, and are now charging me late fees, and won't provide my actual elecitric charges. From looking at my current utility bill they're definitely overcharging me or price gouging. last month I went down to my leasing office and provided proof that the utilities were in my name. We even did a conference call with the energy company and they stated I setup services correctly but Conservice reached out to them and had the utilities taken out of my name. Even after all of that, they're now double charging me for utilities and fees. There have been a number of class action lawsuits against this company for its practices. From the looks of things I may have to taken them to court too. Conservice should be ashamed and needs to be investigated for its practices. My local attorney general will be reaching out to you pretty soon. This has to stop! Companies like this a destroying American citizens lives. Not sure if it was deliberate but I've been hung up on twice after waiting on hold while they either transfer me to another person or look up my account. Customer support sucks. Called many times and never talked to anyone. Charge you for service fee and convenience fee. More fees to get more money off you. We just moved out of our apartment. Turned in our keys and had our final inspection on July 30th of 2022. Our bill was double what it usually is. I called and was not given a straight answer. I decided I would call back and hopefully get someone else later. My husband calls and after waiting and hour and a half was told our bill was doubled as we are being charged for Aug as well and they estimate what we would have been charged since we moved so the other remaining residents bill doesn't go up. How does that make sense? So because me moved out we have to pay double so the remaining residents don't have a few dollars increase??? This is not adding up. I can't even rate them I do not like this service at all. I recently moved and apart of signing the lease they said my electric bill would be included with my rent payment. I didn't think much since my bill is fairly low and I'm downsizing from a two bedroom to a one bedroom which should for surely lower my cost so I thought. Our apt. complex just changed owner ship, and management. In 2017 we bought an 8 year lease. I know you are shaking your head wondering why anybody would do that. Our lease will be up April 27th. 2025. From day one we have had nothing but trouble. The 1st week we were given a letter to vacate. When I took the letter to the office, you can say I wasn't a happy camper. The girl gets up from her chair, walks to another room, sits down, opens my folder, and what do you know, there was my 8 year lease right there. Did I get an apology? Ha, what do you think? I don't open the letter from the Conservice Utility Experts they send out each month. I know what my credit is. I forgot to mention, the previous landlord put in our garage lease that our rent for the garage was included with the apt. I don't know why, but I just happened to open April statement for May's bill. I immediately noticed something, someone) was off. My husband took the statement to the office, here. Was told not a problem, again garage lease states, garage is included with rent. Office mgt. said she would call cooperate and they would get back with us and let us know how they were going to handle it. That told me right then and there, there was going to be a big problem. Didn't hear back , almost 2 weeks. Hubby calls, he was told cooperate hadn't gotten back with them. We get another statement. They again, took out money for a garage, the lease plainly states included with rent. We are going to the court house next week, and filing a large claim against them. PLEASE, pull up the state You live in and type state and type in tenant- landlord law. You will be surprised how many states have laws that really benefit the tenant. And you do realize Conservice isn't the Company that owns the apartments. The owners are usually doctors and- or lawyers, especially if the apartment complex is huge, as ours.
