I can tell from the reviews/reputation that this is overall a great company. The implemented protocols seem very effective in efficiently scheduling, estimated and delivering proposals. Unfortunately my experience was disappointing. After thoroughly reading the proposal the proposal was approved. According to the work order a vent pipe would be extended above the roof and properly sealed. "4. Securing the pipe extension using appropriate fittings and couplings. 5. Installation or reinstallation of roof flashing and weatherproof sealing. 6. Installation of a vent cap (if required). 7. Final inspection to ensure proper sealing and function." After the pipe was extended the technician was ready to collect payment and leave. I brought up details regarding the scope of work including sealing the pipe on the roof. The technician had to leave to get sealant but did end up completing the work. It's concerning that I had to tell the technician about the proposal in order for him to complete the work!!! Then, after consulting my neighborhood email listserv, I called a rooter company recommended by several people. I did not get a person, I had to leave a voice mail message. I explained that I wasn't ready to schedule anything yet and only needed a typical ballpark range so he could review the costs. Even after clarifying this several times, they would not provide any general pricing information and insisted that a technician had to come out first. Quality and service trust is very lacking. We had a leak in our main water line last August. The technician who came out was super friendly and "fixed the issue" relatively quickly. However, 8 months later, there was a bigger leak on the same pressure regulator he replaced and installed. We called the after hours emergency service because we had to shut down our main water line to the house. It cost us non-refundable $200 for the technician to tell us there's nothing he can do that night because they didn't have parts in stock. He then quoted us almost $1300 to replace and fix the issues with support beams ..and the office would not address the 1 year warranty they promised that was stated on the invoice from the first service. My husband went out to buy the parts himself (regulator and support beam), which only cost around $300 total. When the technician called this morning to follow up on the service, I was quite upset and explained how overpriced their proposal was and that we've called other plumbers for quotes. He admitted the parts only cost a few hundred and then proceeded to quote us only $280 for labor, when originally he was quoting close to $1000 for labor... Although Clean-Out Kings response time is very quick, they over charge customers and are not honest about pricing. I would not recommend them. read more

On day two after the repair, I d filled the sink and went to lift the stopper pull to drain. It came all the way out of the faucet. The hind tighten stopper pull had disengaged and there fore I had to get underneath the sink and reinstall the stopper pull. Hand tighten didn't work, so I had to crawl under again and use a wrench to tighten. The whole point of hiring was so that I as a 68 yr old senior did not have to crawl under the sink. Also, it was a one man job - the fact that two people were sent - means I have to pay for time of two people. read more
