In my opinion Conservice is a sham and a scam and I think that their billing method is deceptive and fraudulent. They produce nothing of value. They bill for resources they did not produce or have any hand in producing, such as water and sewer. They are simply the biller for the apartment complex I reside and they issue bills prepared with some voodoo formula known only to them which inflates the price of the water and sewer service again which they do not produce. If they could bill you for the air you breathe they would and sock it to you. If one's water usage goes down how can the sewer bill skyrocket upwards. Someone at Conservice better get a new slide rule Conservice will only provide a basic nonsensical formula and will never produce any actual numbers and the complete formula they use to compute your bill They won't explain it, they just tell you how wonderful it is for the community. But they can't explain how good it is for the individual consumer. There is no way to dispute the bill because you don't have the numbers used in their formula and they won't respond and you must pay whatever they bill as part of your rent or be evicted. I'm not even sure they have the correct information about my lease because people who live in larger apartments and have more tenants who were getting huge bill suddenly saw a 66% reduction and my bill doubled. And people who live in the same size apartment with the same number of people on the lease get different amount bills. Under their system everyone should have the same bill if their secret sauce formula works as they claim. If the city owned utility company that provides the service billed me directly my monthly sewer and water bill would be about a third of what it is from what Conservice bills This simply a scam of reselling water and sewer resources they did not produce at a higher rate simply because they do the billing. Their sewer charges are way jacked up in relation to the amount of water you consume. I think that it's time some State Attorney Generals and utility commissions all around the country start investigating these sub metering scams and most specifically Conservice. I bet that Conservice don't exist in one city that has such a regulatory commission. Conservice will always issue an apology through Dave J I assume and maintain that they bill on usage and claim that they don't make any mistakes. I have found them to be deceptive and dishonest in their replies to my inquiries as I have my apartment management (seems to me they are in cahoots) . and the fact is they do not bill on actual usage they use the sq footage of your apartment, number of people on the lease, number of occupied apartments and vacant apartments and in a ratio of the master bill issued to the complex by the actual producer of water and sewer. So if they tell you they bill on usage that is a deceptive lie and only holds a small amount of truth. The apartment management company won't respond, they are part of this scam, they have to be getting something out of the billing or why would they associate themselves with what I believe is a sleaze bag company and face the ire of the tenants. So if you are about to lease from a landlord who uses Conservice as their utilities biller RUN! If you do not you will become part of the collective and face higher than normal utility bills. As a member of the Conservice Collective, you Comrade are held responsible for a portion of other peoples bills because you are not billed on your own personal usage. Horrible ethics, customer service, and company all around. Received my utility bill and there were two $50 vacant gas charges. These charges were because I didn't put the gas in my name. However, I called conservice at the beginning of October and was told I need to put the gas and electric in my name. I told the representative that when I called to get the utilities put in my name the utility company told me that they cannot separate the utilities so ALL of the utilities need to either be in my name or their name. Conservice rep put me on hold to I guess ask a supervisor and then came back on the line and said since the utilities can't be separated, ALL of the utilities would be in their name and then I'll pay conservice. I thought ok, good deal. Fast forward to December, we get the bill with these 2 $50 service fees for not putting the gas in my name. December 27 I called and told them what I was told prior by their rep, and I was told to send in my lease and they would review the charges. I called back again today (1/3/19) and was told by the rep that the charges are valid because I was told that the gas and electric needed to be in my name. I explained multiple times that yes that was said, but then after I told the rep back in October that the utility company said they can't split the utilities and she told me that ALL of the utilities would remain in conservices name. I guess they don't understand the meaning of what ALL means. I was then told that it was my responsibility to figure out that the gas wasn't included with that particular utility company and that I should have asked what company the gas was through even though I was told ALL utilities would remain in conservices name. Also because conservice bills 2 months behind we will be charged another $50 service fee for the gas. So we will be charged a total of $150 in service fees due to a communication failure on THEIR part. Also being forced to pay a $7.95 service fee a month on a service I am being forced to use. This company is horrible and has zero customer service skills. I would rather put all the utilities in my name and pay them separately than deal with this company. It is hard to pin the issue of higher billing for sewer on the Apartments or the Conservice provider. I have lived in Central Park Plaza apartments since March 2024 and my sewer costs were between $54 and $67 each month. Within the last 2 months the sewer cost has climbed to $97 and $110 which means as a retiree I am unable to eat since I am on a fixed budget. I do not use that much water nor do I shit or wash dishes to cause the bill to double. The Sewage and water are not metered individually which is what is preferred instead the entire apartment complex has one meter for water and for sewage and that gets divided among current tenants. I called the customer service at Conservice, interesting name btw "CON" Service, I feel like I am being conned, and the Conservice customer service is well trained and professional and stuck to informing me that, "it is in your lease agreement that you signed," why did I get a replay of the comedian saying, "Gotcha Bitch!!!?," So lesson learned stay away from apartments that do not individually meter your utilities. Also with Housing bubble about to pop, housing costs are falling down so if you can afford it now, get into new house. My advice to those renting beware, the businesses that service the apartment community see what is happening in the housing market and they want their cut of the greedy profits. I can't believe that in the last two months that many people could cause the sewage bill to double and the water bill to remain the same. The sewage bill is usually a percentage of the water bill because you need water to flush the sewage down into the septic tank. Hmm, water bill $52 and the Sewage is $110. Why hasn't local city ordinance forced apartments onto a central city sewer system. I think I have a solution for my part, Shit in a bucket and bury it. It will enhance all of the flora in the area with all of the nitrates and such. Just kidding. That would be a health hazard. Renters both pay an aggregate bill of water, gas and electric, as well as their own electric bills that they actually utilized. So please tell me what it is you guys do as a company other than coming up with a cheeky name that exemplifies the crooks incarnate that you are? The individual I spoke to was cordial but I was not provided the correct information. I was originally with a rental company called pathlight. I received notification from pathlight that they were now offering to move utilities to the renters name, but could continue using conservice if preferred. pathlight was bought out by Tricon shortly after. I received a $25 vacant service fee from conservice 2+months after Tricon took over my lease. I was not told that it would be required to transition my utilities under my name as Pathlight and Tricon mentioned that the original agreements from Pathlight would be honored which was extended in April. Tricon referred me to conservice to change my utilities and said they were aware of the poor communication of the transfer from Pathlight to Tricon- therefore able to remove the fee and assist in the transition of utilities. Instead, Conservice told me they would not remove the fee and gave me the numbers to the city for moving my utilities. When reaching out to the city, they confirmed they had to have the rental company approval to change the name per state law - which had not been provided. Though Tricon seems to be the main issue, Conservice did not take any steps to support this situation nor did they direct me to the correct path for resolution. Ultimately I feel pretty dumb for continuing to use a 3rd party billing group with the transition from pathlight to Tricon- definitely a bad decision on my part- but Conservice's inability to take the situation into consideration and not provide proper guidance for next steps is extremely unfortunate. I used to feel how a lot of you did, with your negative reviews.. Until I did level headed research. The reason people are being billed so highly is not Conservice's fault. Majority of the time, it is because YOU have failed to put the utilities in your name, as you should. I failed to do this as well at my last apartment. It is technically called "Vacant Theft." However, Conservice refers to it as "Vacant Recovery." The penalty amount for this is decided by your property owner, not Conservice. I have never received the level of customer service from anywhere as I have from Conservice. I saw someone complaining about a $99 bill for water, sewer & gas (btw, the Conservice charge on there was like $2.50. If you have a problem with the price of your utilities, talk to your utility provider). Without Conservice, I pay approx. $120 a month for those things, in my small apartment. Throw my electric bill on top of that & it's not even funny anymore. Conservice is an amazing company on a multitude of aspects. I would recommend Conservice to businesses for their amazing billing accuracy, and their Synergy Managers are extremely attentive. Your needs come first, period. I recommend Conservice to people seeking employment because of what I have seen as to how they treat & speak to their employees. Not one person there has ever had a bad attitude with me, and I can only assume that their training is state of the art, considering their customer service abilities, whether it's their call center or the people from Billing, Synergy, or Single Family departments. ~The truth will set you free. I am rating this service with less than a one​ due to a current ongoing billing problem since inception of our setup. We were advised upon our move in date on June 15th, that the electric and gas services should be transferred in our names. I reported to our leasing team and to Conservice that each vendor has been contacted and services were transfered in each of our ​ names. ​Electric services were placed ​in my husband's name however Conservice is still charging for "vacant electric services fees". This results in adding incorrect charges to the property management account for us to pay our lease payment. Our payments are than applied towards Conservice billing first and than any remaining payment is applied towards our lease which is now lessened due to receipt of Conservice incorrect charged amount. I have unfortunately been going around in circles to have the inaccurate billed amount corrected and for my Aug ​lease payment to be corrected with the removal of the vacant electric services fee received from Conservice. To date, this issue continues as now we dealing with the second month of having a "vacant electric services" + vacant electric fee in the amount of $308 +$50. This has been a very upsetting situation and now I feel that I am not being heared directly by Conservice. There are many complaints where I see similar billing nightmares as mine. Mr. David you are totally insane and you talking about 4000 to 8000 gallons of water usage when we both are half day not home. Also, if you wanted to talk about facts lets do this. First of all, which apartment community I live on they are newly built. So that means all the equipment's are fairly new and they are efficient in all possible ways. Second of, if lets say we use Dishwasher only it takes 9.5 L per wash and for 30days usage everyday it will be 285L (75.289 Gallons). So not even 100 Gallons for dishwasher. Now lets talk about Laundry water consumption. On average laundry per load takes 14 Gallons of water. So, for the sake of an argument we use 4 loads in one wash. So it will be 56 Gallons of water. We just do twice a month our laundry. But since your company is a cheap ass so lets make it 4 times a month. Still it will be 224 Gallons. Now on average one person use 25 Gallons every 10 minutes of shower. So, for 30 days it will be 750 Gallons. Two persons will use 1500 Gallons. We don't drink tap water so its not even in consideration. Now what else you want me to add. So total Sum will be ( 75.289+224+1500) 1799.289 Gallons. Lets make it 2000 Gallons. So if you know how to play with numbers, tell me how come you get 4000-8000 gallons of water consumption. read more

I called Conservice because my bill has been extremely high for a good while. I wasn't able to get answers from my apt office, and when another apt office let me know that they uses Conservice, I decided to call. I have never heard of this company handling my utilities and found out that they do. The customer service rep Jessica was extremely helpful and extremely understanding regarding my concern. She went over my past and present bills and explained in detailed information the difference between my past usage and bills and my present bills. She could relate to why I was very upset. But she was so understanding that she didn't cause me to get more upset, but instead kept me calm and made me feel comfortable and have confidence that my issue could be resolved. She was transparent and let me know the steps and the amount of time that the issue could be resolved since all needed to be resolved in a timely matter. She let me know what to speak to the apt office about and what information to give them. She could understand that I am a spreadsheet and numbers type of person and needed the information for my report. She was patient and took her time. I normally do not add comments, but she deserves it! read more

Received a survey for how satisfied we are with Conservice resolving our utility issues/requests: After 6 days since we've moved in, our water still has not been turned on, and there's been little to no communication. A technician from the city was suppossed to come out yesterday to remove the lock on the water meter. No one has come out still, and we've received no updated. This is a simple fix, and quite frankly I'm shocked Conservice has not been able to get someone out from the city to resolve this immediately. In addition, we requested a trash bin yesterday. According to the work order online, it shows the request is in progress, and the trash hauler hasn't even been contacted yet. That is a simple 30 second phone call to the city that Conservice needs to make. How this hasn't been completed yet is beyond me. So on a scale of 1 to 5, we're definitely at a 1 currently. The fact that a survey was sent to us today asking how happy we are with Conservice and them "resolving" our utility issues today is mind boggling. Nothing has been resolved today: neither for the water or the trash bin request. read more
