I don't even have a license. Germantown Taxi is a cab company servicing the King of Prussia area in Pennsylvania. Do not ever call them. They are more expensive then Main Line so don't bother. I used this company for months and on an almost everyday basis (going to work and coming home). One thing I can tell you, no matter what time you call, the person who answers there phones will be unbelievably nasty to you. No polite greeting, nothing. They are extremely nasty. Now, I'm from New York so I dealt with it. I'm used to a little attitude, if anything it made me feel like I was back home. But, let me tell you what will make this a company you will not want to invest your money into. I personally would spend damn near $250-$300 a week on cabs from Germantown. Well, one day I had a $26 call. Multiple stops and in the snow nonetheless. The driver had no idea where he was going and if he did, he was playing me. I caught him running up the meter on me quite a bit. Regardless, I get that. I understand it. However, I wound up leaving a box in the cab. An hour after my drop off I noticed it and called the company to tell them. They contacted the driver and I was told, if I wanted that box back, that night, I would have to pay for him to run the meter from his house to mine. I'm supposed to trust that his guy was going to go in a straight line from his house to mine. Really? He can't just bring it? Fair enough, how about this...... I asked, can he bring it to the base tomorrow when he comes into work? At which point, when I call a cab that day to take me to work, that driver can bring me my box. I figured that would be no problem. I was told "No, we don't do that, you'll have to come here to get it". Sir, you are a town away, why can't you just have my next driver bring it? I spend a lot of money with you". "No, we can't do that, plus not to be mean but it is your fault that the package was left behind". Really? I'll tell you what was my fault. Ever calling Germantown Taxi in the first place. They have stickers all over their cars, HELP SAVE GERMANTOWN TAXI. God can't save Germantown Taxi from their nasty ways. Needless to say I had a friend pick up the box and I took a Mainline Taxi to work today. DO NOT USE GERMANTOWN, THEY HAVE NO RESPECT FOR YOU, ONLY THE CASH IN YOUR POCKET. I assure you this is a true story. They would not swing by my place at any point and toss me my box. Obviously, I would have tipped whoever brought it. But, run the meter? Nah, that is not right. Not after the thousands I've spent with them. I hope they go out of business.

What…read morestarted at a positve experience with a driver (named Jonathan) arriving to my house at the exact time requested, a seamless drop-off at my requested destination turned turned into a frustrating experience. Upon arrival to destination, I gave my credit card to the drive to cover the $60+ fare, and he wrote down the credit card # on his clipboard. I game him a $10 cash tip in the meantime. I was also looking for pickup later in the day, so told him I would be looking for a ride later for a return trip home. No problem, and he supplied his cell # to text him later. Later in the day, I proceed with a text and he texts back to say he is not in the area and no other drivers are available within 20-30 mins. No problem, I pursued another taxi company and requested a pickup. Not too much later, my Main Line taxi driver calls to let me know he can come to pick me up, but he was a little way away. No problem, I'll wait for him. After an hour, no cab and I ended up taking my "backup" from another cab company. Lo and behold a phone call from Main Line saying my taxi had arrived. At this point, I had already taken my "backup" cab the 45 min commute home and was resting comfortably. Over and done with, right? Nope. I check my credit card statement a few days later to see 2 pending transactions from Main Line taxi. One was for the original cab ride ($60) and another charge had appeared for $81. Turns out the driver went ahead and charged me a fare for his failed pickup after having been over an hour late. Needless to say I have since disputed the fraudulent charges with my bank and will do everything in my power to make people aware of the difficulty I encountered. Take into consideration that this could be a case of one renegade driver, but it does reflect negatively on Main Line Taxi as a whole. I'll be relaying the same to the Better Business Bureau.
