A few days have passed, and I remain astonished by the blatant lack of respect we encountered at this store. We purchased a media console that was already marked 50% off, which initially seemed like a great deal. After informing the owner, Patty, of our intent to buy, she moved to take it off the floor. Unfortunately, during the process, she dropped it, causing both drawers to fall out. Several customers, including myself, helped get the console back onto a dolly, but I didn't inspect it for damage at the time--my focus was on assisting rather than creating a scene. Patty kindly offered to come in the next day, despite it being her day off, to help us load the console into our vehicle. We insisted it wasn't necessary and even offered to pick it up on Monday, but she insisted on coming in Sunday morning to help us. On Sunday morning, we called at 11 a.m. to inform the shop that we were running late, and the employee assured us it was fine. However, when we arrived at 11:28 a.m., Patty had already left, and we were told we could load the item ourselves--no problem. Upon inspecting the console, we noticed the drawers had been damaged during the fall. We informed the other owner of the incident, and she called Patty. Patty responded that we should have checked for damage the day before and dismissed our concerns by emphasizing that the item was already half off and it was a great deal (which it was, if it was undamaged). To clarify, we had agreed to purchase the console before it was damaged, and the accident happened while they were handling it, not us. At this point, we felt uneasy about taking a damaged item but were left with no choice, as we were abruptly told, "We don't offer refunds." This was deeply frustrating--especially since they damaged the item while it was in their possession. The other owner, who had curly blonde hair, was extremely rude, implying that we were at fault for not inspecting the item immediately after the fall. I didn't feel comfortable making a scene on the sales floor and had assumed that if there were any damage, we could address it at pick-up. Despite our frustration, we loaded the console into our vehicle, as we had no other choice. While loading the console into the car, Patty called back to authorize a refund, but the other owner's final remarks were extremely unsettling. She stated that she would watch us unload the console to ensure we didn't damage it, which felt unnecessary and accusatory. In summary, we were paying customers who supported a small business and apologized in advance for our slight delay. We did nothing to damage the item but were treated as if we were at fault. While I appreciate the eventual refund, the rude and condescending treatment from the blonde owner was unacceptable. I typically refrain from posting negative reviews, particularly for small businesses, but the level of disrespect we experienced here was egregious and cannot be overlooked. Stopped in and showed the owner ,Barbara Rulo , a picture of a vintage wrought iron table and 6 chairs , and she said to bring in in for consignment. I rented a truck ,drove it there for the set to be sold , and upon arrival she said the set had some scratches and could not be sold there . this is a 100 year old wrought iron set in perfect condition with 6 chairs and new cushions ! no kidding , it can be painted !! chances are whoever bought it would have changed the color anyway . don't waste time going there it cost me over a $100 and wasted a half a day of my time read more

Never a good sign when you are shopping and are completely ignored by the 2 staff people working, except when one almost ran you over. Still no acknowledgment. Never judge a book by its cover when it comes to the customer. Will never return or spend my money there. read more

Let me start that I do not enjoy doing this...however buyer beware...I purchased a nice piece so I thought and arranged delivery...I had a few pieces that I thought I would send back to them via this delivery however Mike told me they had to be in excellent condition...we bought those pieces new and its only my husband and I who live here only 6 months a year so the wear was very minimal however if one looks hard enough one could find something and I did not want to pay to have them sent back to me. So once I received my piece and examined it, to my horror and the delivery personal...someone had tried to either replace handles and the holes left from previous handles were there in white on a green cabinet...plus the handles we installed crocked with hug drilled holes that the screws did not fit and they had cracked the inside of the door...why did I not see that at the store...well they had positioned a table set and chair in front of the cabinet, purposely or not I could not open the cabinet hence why I did not see this...I would not have bought this item like that...now they offered to return the item and pay for the delivery charge back to them however they refused to pay for any repairs or my delivery fees of $85. So I would be out this money...we referred to a cabinet maker who said with patience and skill even with these large holes they can be repaired... My point in all of EXCELLENCE for them is a one way street...be careful when buying from them, examine your piece closely, you have been warned... read more

These folks have a variety of unique furniture pieces .Today I saw a set of custom stairs that could be used as a storage piece or as stairs. There was also a stack of wooden suitcases that was colorful and useful. I bought a patio sofa that was on sale. It is the third piece I have purchased from these folks. Patty told me it had some rust on the buttons. I really appreciate her candidness. Integrity is part of the experience. read more

The owners and staff are very knowledgeable and pleasant; their pricing is research-based and fair; and they have a monthly mark-down system which we appreciate. When we arrive in Vero Beach, this shop is our very first stop, and the very last before we leave.......not to mention the weekly trip as things move in and out very quickly. Any visitors we have request a shopping trip here first. Consignment Gallery also has a "resident" interior designer who, when available, is always generous in lending her extraordinary "eye" to finding any pieces we might be needing. This is a great shop with a huge selection of furniture and decorative items for the home, and full of treasures for gift giving as well. The store always looks different, because they sell things so quickly, and are always getting new things in. The sales associates are friendly and helpful--not overbearing, but thoughtful and willing to share their knowledge. Prices are fair, and everything looks new and clean. What more can I say?
