On the day fiber internet was installed by Wabash Communications, I called to cancel my slower Consolidated Communications service. Customer service had to transfer me to Customer Care. After a very long wait, the call was dropped. I'm now on hold for the second time to disconnect. FYI - I preordered Wabash and Fidium (Consolidated's fiber company) at the same time. Wabash contacted me first to schedule install. Out of curiosity, I checked to see if Fidium was available at my address and the website asked me to pre-order Fidium. read more

They have the best value for wifi in the area. I believe their cable tv rates are quite competitive as well. Customer service very good. They are just limited by where they can go because of the quality of the phone lines and as long as other companies control that, they can't grow. We are still living in the u.s.a. I believe? Capitalism in a fair way is a good thing. Monopolies are illegal when you can prove it affects the consumer. When the only game in town costs 30% more than a typical cable, phone, internet package in NYC that's rather easy to prove. read more

These greedy morons not only charge more for less and or slower service they charge for ALL service calls because they only use private contractors instead of employing their own field service technicians. Wow what a mistake choosing this Internet provider. They gave me a set time that they are coming to hook me up and show up three hours earlier, mind you I even called this morning to double check the time To even make sure I was around. The person on the phone told me 1 to 3 and that was unfortunately not the time that they showed up. So they were trying to get me to wait a whole Nother week for their mess up. Worst business customer service I have ever dealt with. Had an installation scheduled and they NEVER showed up, no call nothing. After countless calls to customer service, and about 2 hours worth of holding, I spoke to a supervisor who was equally less helpful. After speaking with countless representatives my new installation is scheduled out another 2 weeks, if they even come. Unless your limited to this company (which is completely unfair that they are allowed to monopolize this region) I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND finding a different provider. read more

This company has the absolute WORST customer service I have ever received. I switched to Mediacom after the way I was treated when making an inquiring on our Consolidated account. I cannot believe the difference between the two companies. The Consolidated representative actually hung up on me when I was trying to cancel our service. We have had nothing but issues with this company. They never have an answer to what is going on. There response is always the same... "we can only give you what we have for an update". Which is usually not any information at all other than there is a service issue in your area. UMMM, DUH!! That's why we are calling. I have been in the customer service industry for many years and know a generic response when I hear one. It truly seems that the left and right hand do NOT work together. The TV, internet, and phone will go out for no reason. We have had numerous calls dropped because of this. We even had to go without TV, phone, or internet for a week before they sent someone out. Just to find out there was an issue with there equipment. Now, Here's the kicker... THEY STILL CHARGED US FOR THAT TIME! This company is the worst we have ever dealt with and has the ABSOLUTE worst customer service. NOW, in this troubling time, my 79 year old Dad has to go without a TV for any news updates. The worst internet provider and customer service ive ever dealt with. We requested an upgrade since we were long overdue and needed a new phone jack hooked up in our home. It took them a month to even come out. The day before they came (05-24-18) I called to confirm that they were still coming and I was told "Yes, someone will be there between 8am and 5pm on Friday (05-25-18). I stayed home all day and no one ever showed up or even called to say they wouldn't make it. I called them again at 4:45 that same day and the CS rep was even shocked that no one called or showed up. She told me someone would be here the followingTuesday, I made it very clear that I had to leave by 1:15 for an appt that day and she said she noted my account that they must show up in the morning only. When I came back from my appt the person came and had the nerve to say " you weren't here you're lucky I came back I was going to leave and NOT come back at all". Ever since he came our internet is in and out. Now we have had no dial tone or internet for 3 days....And still no one has showed up. This will be 3 days of work missed for me and they could care less. You call for status and all they say is "sometime this or that day". They transfer you without telling you, act like you're the inconvenience and supervisors don't call back but how can they when our home phone isn't working..it's just awful!!!! I wish I had known before i agreed to a 2 year contract so I could of cancelled and found a new company. read more

Requested a static IP for my business which should have been a simple process of assigning an IP for the MAC address of my DSL router but apparently not. So they said they needed to send out a rep to replace our router. The rep came out and replaced the router leaving our Internet non-functional. The rep was on the phone with the back office the whole time aka he obviously did not know what he was doing. I called my IT guys to come in an take a look. He said they setup the static IP on the wrong Interface on the router and they did not change our LAN IP address range back to what it was. When he called in to get them to change it they said they could still not connect to the new router and that they would have to send someone out again to fix it. When our IT person asked to talk to a higher tier of tech support he was told he would have to pay to get that help even though it was a problem Consolidated caused. It was very obvious that all their support structure is farmed out and that they don't have in house support. I would not recommend Consolidated to anyone. read more

Had to call CCI for a client yesterday in order to connect Outlook 2016 to the client's fairpoint.net e-mail. Our company is a Microsoft Gold partner which takes care of issues like this all the time. After trying everything possible to hook up the Outlook client to the mailbox we had no choice but to call CCI. They were of very little help saying that they don't help with this issue. They don't support IMAP. They only can give us the ports and that it. Audrey (badge # 41346) wanted me to pay for Premium Support which I then asked for a supervisor. After waiting on for a very long time again I was then able to speak to a supervisor named Lisa (badge # 30802) who could not help at all and I was given the same information, completely useless.
