They keep saying their billing department will get it fixed... then they don't. Also, when I first started seeing a counselor here, they were unable to tell me the cost. I finally got an estimate, and then several months later received the first bill which was for a significantly higher amount than I had been given. I'd already had several appointments by this time and then was suddenly out a lot more money than expected. The therapists don't do prescriptions, and they don't tell you that there is a completely separate (and very high) charge for the brief meeting with the person who does prescriptions. If you need to make a change or get a refill - you guessed it, it's another full charge for a visit. I tried to reach them via the chat on their website - they have you go through a bunch of hoops, provide your name and number and address, and then... a message that nobody is available and you have to call. After waiting on hold for a while, the phone just went to a voicemail and said they will call me back. SURE they will. What if I was having an actual mental health crisis? I hate to say this but the skills of the counselors don't matter when my entire interaction with the company is causing me massive anxiety and financial challenges. I am now worse off than before I started seeing anybody here and completely regret the entire experience.

I had NEVER had a positive experience in inpatient at any hospital until someone recommended Brylin. The doctors, the therapists, the social workers, the aides and paraprofessional staff, the nurses - every single one of them helpful, understanding, supportive and, most importantly, this team will do whatever it takes to get every patient the care and the assistance they need to succeed in the outside world.

Also please be prepared to disclose your reasons for wanting to speak with a mental health professional to the person you don't know on the other end of the phone. I was refused the ability to book an appointment without very specific information. I was refused booking based on my discomfort with the person on the phone. I was told that it was her job to make the appointments and see that "its a good fit" and that I was welcome to seek help from another practice. In my opinion, -very unprofessional -unsafe practice when dealing with a fragile community of clients. Empathy is a necessity.

They always verify with me if it is ok to text, mail, leave a voicemail. I appreciate that. I have been a long time patient of Evergreen and do not trust my care with anyone else. From primary care staff, specialty care staff, to pharmacy services personnel, all physicians and nurses, and all other employees including those behind the scene, I watched them grow from a small one doctor practice into an awesome large revamped multi-specialty building still treating the same community....and then even more. To say that it is an amazing piece of architecture is underwhelming. It is simply breathtaking. And, it is all of those things you expect to feel from it: eery, spooky, intriguing, mysterious and glamorous. It's so easy for the mind to imagine what it must have been like for the people who were patients here and what they might have gone through. It's almost like stepping into the pages of a thriller novel. A must-visit in Buffalo!

Fortunately, actions are underway to stabilize the structures so they can serve as the core of an architecture center, regional visitor center, boutique hotel and event/conference space.
