It is very difficult to have consistency in your therapy when appointments are so limited with your counselor. If you are a working individual or a student it makes it even more complicated. The guys at the front desk are polite and nice, but terrible at relaying messages; therefore is impossible to communicate directly with your counselor since you cannot have their email nor their direct line. I know these guys are overworked; they keep taking clients under very low staffing. I know low staffing is out of their control, but accepting more clients when they cannot keep up with the ones they have is not OK. I felt obligated to quit after having such a difficult time booking the appointments and delaying my therapy; at times I felt worst having to relive it and dealing with it for two or three weeks until my next appointment. I always felt in a rush, and not enough time to deal with all the mess in my head. They say many things that they cannot keep. Therefore, I felt, though their intentions might be honorable; they were more damaging to me than helpful. But remember, everyone's experience is different.

After two failed attempts by JD to reach 100%, I decided to leave and hire a lawyer instead. I went to Vet Law, which has excellent reviews, and within four months I reached 100% disability (a $1,589 monthly increase). Their fee was $1,012 -- far more reasonable, and the process felt professional and straightforward. Based on this comparison, I believe Veterans Benefits Consulting Group charges excessive fees and does not provide fair value for the cost. Although I did receive an increase, I do not feel their billing system is ethical or fair. I want other Veterans to be fully informed before committing, as there are better options available.

It was A LOT of info gathering, but well worth the additional benefit of $2200/month. Free money! Kurt guided me with the forms and documents I needed to gather and he finished the rest. It took me about a month to get everything together and Kurt an additional 2 weeks and the package was finally sent. And in another 2 weeks, he called and asked me to check the bank account. Voila! He said we got the max amount in the shortest amount of time in his experience. Yes, I possibly could have done this without their assistance, but they've done it before and knew the ropes. Sure, the help was free. But, in the end, we're getting financial assistance that we really didn't know existed or was available. For their efforts, we donated approx 70% of the first amount back to VAA for their time & help. Would def recommend Veterans Advocacy Associates!

Ordering process: After seating you wait for a little bit for them to bring small water cups and a QR menu with a table number and a set of rules. They do not have a physical menu, you must use your phone to order. Cell phone reception was dicey and took a long time to load. They have pour over drinks (note these can take 15-20 minutes), matcha, Hojicha and others. You may only order one drink per person at a time. They have a small snack menu with rotating foods. They use oat milk only. No substitutions allowed. After mobile ordering, drinks take 20-30 minutes as part of their take it slow vibe. Matcha $8 is from Paru tea and was very good. Hojicha $8 was too milky and didn't have a strong enough flavor. When you are done you walk to the register by the door and wait to be checked out. If they are making a drink you wait until they are finished. I wasn't really a fan. Staff were brusque. Music was too loud to converse.

The seating here is unique where it's two sweaters (great for couples). than the typical long row seating. The chairs are comfy and feels quite intimate to be honest. I would say the only downside is that you know the movie is ending when the servers come to drop off your check so it can be a bit distracting from that. But overall, it's a great movie theater where you can eat and watch with your loved ones!

The location is great, with a large parking lot that's easy to get in and out of. I still love the lobby and overall atmosphere. It feels a lot more upscale than your average movie theater, and everything seemed clean and well maintained. The biggest disappointment was the service. We ordered a popcorn refill and additional drinks during the movie and ended up waiting about 30 to 40 minutes for them to arrive. I also never received a receipt at the end and had to stop by customer service afterward. I also have to mention how much I miss the Greek bowl they used to serve. It had gyro meat and was hands down my favorite thing on the menu. I would love to see it make a comeback. I'll definitely be back because I still enjoy the theater overall, but I do feel like the experience isn't quite as good as it used to be.

They show feature movies on the weekend and during the week old tv shows, cartoons, and seasonal stuff. It runs from sundown until around 10 or 11pm every day of the year. It can be a little hard to find, but if you can locate LA Fitness or Old Spaghetti Factory, you're getting warmer. It's nestled between Pizza Nova and Ryan Bros Coffee. Lots of free parking. They've also hosted the annual San Marcos Student Film Festival 2 years running, which is usually in June, and again free to the public. The only reason for the lack of 5 stars is that it is COLD in the winter, and WET when its rainy ...not that there's a real solution to that, other than a blanket and an umbrella.... Expect kids running around, outdoor noise from cars and conversation, but its all part of the fun. Did I mention its all FREE?

(The Friday movies tend to be older/more obscure). It's right in the middle of a bunch of restaurants and there's a fire pit if you get cold. Though not "pristine" movie viewing conditions, it's free and its outdoors and did I mention it's Free?. A rad way to spend a few hours some Saturday night taking in a flick. Bring your own blanket (and chair if you've got one, seating can be limited) and re-live the golden age of drive ins, that you probably weren't alive for in the first place.

I want to start off by giving Rudy Melson a High Five and Praise for his hard work and dedication, as his patience is one is extraordinary. Rudy is the kind of guy who puts a Angel wing around you and protects you as your guardian. Trust me, before Rudy got my case, I was told that I didn't even have a case, and quit wasting time filing, as it was always denied. Rudy worked for month on down to a few years to get me service connected and get me medical help for my injuries. Trust me, I was not easy to deal with, and I was running out of faith in the system. Rudy after the denials got me before the Board and we saw the Judge, and honestly, I felt so proud hearing him defend me, so much that a tear ran down my face, as he finally got the point across that paperwork just could not define in words to say. The charge to do my case, honestly, he deserves way more than what he requests because the dedication and effort he puts in, its way more and above what he gets for helping, and people should understand that!!!! Time is money, and when your time is in need of money that you don't have, if he helps you get it for the rest of your life, why complain about paying him what he deserves, because his time is far more valuable when you consider that he puts in countless hours to see veterans achieve success, which again his time and what he receives in compensation for his time, it honestly under paying him. I have been waiting over 2 months for a response from Dr. Melson. In those 2 months I have worked endlessly to gather documents upon documents, sending them for Dr. Melson to review. His assistant informs me that in 2 months I will communicate with him only by email. I then received an email from him on what VA papers need completion and a text requesting his payment. I responded in text to him about signing a contract before sending payment and he never responded. I went to work the next morning for my 15 hour shift at the hospital and less than 24 hours he texts me saying he is withdrawing representation from my case because he never heard back from me, though I texted him back asking for a contract before payment and was waiting on his response. All of this occurring within 48 hours of first communication with him since January and now it is April. So much of my time was wasted organizing, gathering and sending documents and he texts me he is withdrawing representation because I asked for a contract and he didn't get paid within 24 hours of his text requesting payment. As a veteran this was so confusing and stressful to do so much work and wait this long to hear back, only to have Dr Melson that has all of my medical information to remove himself after I ask about a contract and him not receiving payment after less than 24 hours notice. Google is very helpful in knowing who you work with. read more

When YOU need the BEST, you CALL the BEST!!! Two years ago, I was asked if I would be interested in a seminar presented by Dr Rudy Melson. I replied in the affirmative. When it comes to the US Department of Veterans Affairs and claims for benefits, I knew a lot. After his 5 day seminar to help me learn about the Veterans Benefits Administration, he showed me just how ignorant I really was. My experience with Rudy greatly exceeded my expectations. I have applied and appealed numerous times with the VA over the past decade with no success. I've even used other representatives to no avail. He has helped me win my case in 6 months. Good representatives win cases, and he was the reason why I won my case, hands down. He communicated with me consistently over the entire process, always making sure I sent all paperwork through him and making sure it got to the right place. If there was ever an issue, there was always a Plan B. It feels good to know that your case is being handled by an expert. Having epilepsy is a frightening and vulnerable condition and knowing that you can trust somebody is truly a blessing during a very difficult time. I know that many veterans out there get scared of getting screwed over, hidden fees, horror stories, but that was not the case here. Rudy has been handling my VA diability claims and appeals for over 2 years now... Before I met Rudy I was pretty much stonewalled by the VA... I was rated at 10% and that was a process that took over 2 years back in Tampa, Florida.. Since then all claims have been refiled and there are now some that are now under appeal... The bottom line is that within 6 months Rudy was able to get my disability level up to 80% and on appeal, over the last year up to 90%... Dr. Rudy S. Melson is the man! He's worked tirelessly to help me with my claim. During the process of submitting my claim there were a lot of nuanced points and questions that I had and I could always rely on Rudy to answer them. He's always advocated for me with the VA, and helped push things forward when the VA were slow. He has so much experience with claims and appeals, that on many occasions he'd know of ways to do things that likely no one else would know. From the very first lesson, Paul created such a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere that my son felt comfortable right away. He's not just a talented drummer, but also a great teacher who knows how to break things down so kids can actually understand and enjoy learning. Paul mixes in songs that my son already likes along with the fundamentals, so practicing at home feels less like homework and more like something he actually wants to do. As a parent, it's been amazing to watch him sit down at the drum set with excitement instead of resistance. The progress we've seen has been incredible. His rhythm, timing, and coordination have improved so much, but what stands out to me the most is his confidence. My son used to hesitate when trying something new, but with Paul's encouragement, he's learned to just go for it and keep pushing himself. Paul has this great balance of being encouraging and patient while also holding his students accountable so they don't just mess around. It's exactly what kids need, someone who believes in them but also challenges them to do better each week. My son now practices on his own, shows off the new beats he learns, and even talks about wanting to play in a band someday, which is something he never would have imagined before starting lessons. The academy itself has been wonderful too. Everyone at the front desk is organized and helpful, scheduling is simple, and the whole place has a positive, family-friendly vibe. They also offer opportunities for students to perform, which I think is such a great way to give kids experience and confidence in front of an audience. Paul really prepares his students for these moments in a way that feels fun and not intimidating, so instead of being nervous, my son actually gets excited to play in front of people. Overall, I couldn't be happier with Mr. Paul and the experience we've had with the drum program. It's not just about learning music, it's about building confidence, discipline, and a genuine love for playing. My son is growing both as a musician and as a person because of these lessons. I tried to find this group and look more into it but it seems that it's not active anymore? If anyone knows of anything like this in San Clemente or Dana Point area let me know!
